①和別的生物不一樣，貓看起來不像大白鯊那樣兇殘致命，也不像大褐熊那樣強壯有力，更不像食肉恐龍那樣饑餓貪吃?？墒?，千萬別小瞧了“貓”這個群體，它們可是長著一雙無辜大眼的超級殺手。

②據(jù)統(tǒng)計，美國有8400萬只家貓、3000萬只野貓，被這些貓殺死的鳥類數(shù)量高達14億，甚至有可能達到37億。除了鳥類，每年被貓捕殺的還有至少69億只哺乳動物，這個數(shù)字甚至有可能達到207億。鼴鼠、家兔、歐黃鼠、灰鼠均未能逃脫厄運。貓捕殺的對象一般是活動的、比自己身形小的生物，就連毒蛇、蝎子也不懼怕。

柳信

①今年的春天，來得特別躊躇、遲疑，乍暖還寒，翻來覆去，仿佛總下不定決心。但是路邊的楊柳不知不覺間已綠了起來，綠得這樣淺，這樣輕，遠望去迷迷蒙蒙，像是一片輕盈的、明亮的霧。我窗前的一株垂柳，也不知不覺在枝條上綴滿新芽，泛出輕淺的綠，隨著冷風自如地拂動。這園中原有許多花木，這些年也和人一樣，經(jīng)歷了各種斧鉞蟲豸之災，只剩下一園黃土、幾株俗稱“瓜子碴”的樹，還有這棵垂柳，年復一年，只管自己綠著。

②少年時候，每到春來，見楊柳枝頭一夜間染上了新綠，總是興高采烈，覺得歡喜極了，輕快極了，好像那生命的顏色也染透了心頭。曾在中學作文里寫過這樣幾句：

③“嫩綠的春天又來了，看那陌頭的楊柳色，世界上的生命都聚集在那兒了，不是嗎?那年輕的眼睛般的鮮亮啊……”

④老師在最后一句旁邊打了密密的圈。我便想，應該圈點的，不是這段文字，而是那碧玉妝成綠絲絳般的楊柳。

⑤抗戰(zhàn)期間在南方，一個殘冬，我家的小花貓死了。那是我第一次看到什么是死。它躺著，閉著眼。我和弟弟用豬肝拌了飯，放在它嘴邊，它仍一動也不動。“它死了?！蹦赣H說，“埋了吧?！蔽覀兇舸舻乜粗秋@得格外瘦小的小貓，弟弟嗚嗚地哭了。我心里像堵上了什么，看了半天，還不離開。

⑥“埋了吧，以后再買一只?！蹦赣H安慰說。

⑦我作了一篇祭文，記得有“嗚呼小花”一類的話，放在小貓身上。我們抬著盒子，來到山坡。我一眼便看中那柳傘下的地方，雖然當時只有枯枝。我們掘了淺淺的坑，埋葬了小貓。冷風在樹木間吹動，我們都穿得十分單薄，不足以御寒。我拉著弟弟的手，呆呆地站著，好像再也提不起玩的興致了。

⑧忽然間，那晃動的枯枝上透出的一點青綠色，照亮了我們的眼睛，那枝頭竟然有一點嫩芽了，多鮮多亮?。　続】我猛然覺得心頭輕松好多。楊柳綠了，楊柳綠了，我輕輕地反復在心里念誦著。那時我的詞匯里還沒有“生命”這個字眼，但只覺得自己又有了精神，一切都又有了希望似的。

⑨時光流去了近40年，我已經(jīng)歷了好多次的死別，到1977年，連我的母親也撒手別去了。我們家里，最不能想象的就是沒有我們的母親了。母親病重時，父親說過一句話：“沒有你娘，這房子太空?！边@房子里怎能沒有母親料理家務來去的身影，怎能沒有母親照顧每一個人、關懷每一．

個人的呵責和提醒！然而母親畢竟去了，拋下了年邁的父親和她的兒女。

⑩兩個多月過去，時屆深秋，園中衰草凄迷，落葉堆積。我從外面回來，走過藏在衰草和落葉中的小徑——這小徑我曾在深夜里走過多少次啊。請醫(yī)生，灌氧氣，到醫(yī)院送湯送藥，但終于抵擋不住人生大限的到來。我茫然地打量著這園子，這時，侄兒迎上來說，家里的大貓——“獅子”死了，是讓人用鳥槍打死的，已經(jīng)埋了。

?這是母親喜歡的貓，是一只雪白的獅子貓，眼睛是藍的，在燈下會閃著紅光。這兩個月，它天天坐在母親房門外等，也沒有等見母親出來。我沒有問埋在哪里，無非是在這一派清冷荒涼之中罷了。我卻格外清楚地知道，再沒有母親來安慰我了，再沒有母親許諾我要的一切了。深秋的冷風將落葉吹得團團轉，枯草像是久未梳理的亂發(fā)，豎起來又倒下去。我的心直往下沉，往下沉……忽然，我看見幾縷綠色在冷風中瑟瑟地抖顫，原來是那株柳樹。在一片蕭索中，柳色有些黯淡，但在一片枯黃之間，它是在綠著?！斑@容易生長的、到處都有的普通的柳樹，并不怕冷?！?/p>

?清明時節(jié)，我們將柳枝插在母親骨灰盒旁的花瓶里。柳樹并不想躋身松柏等歲寒之友中，它只是努力盡自己的本分，盡量綠得長一些，就像一個普通母親平凡清白的人生一樣。
