一、總綱
畢業(yè)論文,是大學(xué)本科教學(xué)的最后一個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)。是對整個(gè)大學(xué)階段學(xué)習(xí)的回顧與總結(jié),是學(xué)生綜合能力的體現(xiàn),也是對學(xué)生的一次語言及相關(guān)科學(xué)研究的一次基本訓(xùn)練,因此,要求學(xué)生以高度認(rèn)真負(fù)責(zé)的態(tài)度對待此項(xiàng)工作。
做好畢業(yè)論文的指導(dǎo)工作是整個(gè)大學(xué)教學(xué)和教育的重要和必要內(nèi)容,也是理論教學(xué)的重要組成部分。每一位教師都要以高度的社會(huì)責(zé)任感和敬業(yè)精神投入到此項(xiàng)工作中去,指導(dǎo)學(xué)生順利完成畢業(yè)論文任務(wù)。
二、畢業(yè)論文的階段及要求
論文工作主要分以下幾個(gè)階段:準(zhǔn)備(資料的收集與整理、閱讀文獻(xiàn))、撰寫提綱、第一稿、第二稿、第三稿、定稿與答辯。
(一)準(zhǔn)備:學(xué)生可以自由選擇研究范圍(語言、文學(xué)、文化、社會(huì)問題、應(yīng)用英語、經(jīng)濟(jì)、貿(mào)易、科技、社會(huì)生活等),但要在教師的指導(dǎo)下對研究對象進(jìn)行資料的收集整理和分析來確定畢業(yè)論文題目。
(二)撰寫提綱:
學(xué)生在指導(dǎo)教師的指導(dǎo)下分析和研究所采集的資料的基礎(chǔ)上,撰寫畢業(yè)論文提綱。同時(shí)也要求每一位指導(dǎo)教師在學(xué)生形成畢業(yè)論文提綱前一定要與每位被指導(dǎo)的學(xué)生進(jìn)行討論,畢業(yè)論文提綱應(yīng)盡量做到全面縝密,理順?biāo)撌鰞?nèi)容,避免以后反復(fù)修改。
(三)第一稿:要求學(xué)生必須嚴(yán)格按照指導(dǎo)教師審定后的畢業(yè)論文提綱進(jìn)行寫作,不可自行其是,隨意更換主題。第一稿完成以后,指導(dǎo)教師主要檢查學(xué)生是否按照既定的提綱和思想在寫作,及時(shí)發(fā)現(xiàn)問題及時(shí)糾正。如學(xué)生采取不認(rèn)真的態(tài)度,指導(dǎo)教師應(yīng)對其提出嚴(yán)肅的批評教育,拒不接受者,指導(dǎo)教師有權(quán)提出相應(yīng)的處理意見,或交學(xué)院畢業(yè)論文工作小組處理。如果指導(dǎo)教師不認(rèn)真指導(dǎo),隨意放學(xué)生過關(guān),以后階段出現(xiàn)的問題由該教師本人負(fù)責(zé)。
(四)第二稿:要求學(xué)生不僅要繼續(xù)補(bǔ)充第一稿之不足,同時(shí)要求在表達(dá)上要有所提高。在接到第二稿以后,指導(dǎo)教師閱讀后應(yīng)指出存在的問題,以便學(xué)生及時(shí)改正。
(五)第三稿:要求學(xué)生在文風(fēng)、文章格式、修辭等方面有所提高。指導(dǎo)教師要對第三稿進(jìn)行全面的審閱,并提出修改意見,以保證定稿打印時(shí)所有的錯(cuò)誤和疏漏都得到更正,錯(cuò)誤率控制在規(guī)定范圍內(nèi)。同時(shí),教師還要提醒學(xué)生在打印前再校對,以保證盡可能地將正確的版本打印出來。
(六)畢業(yè)論文答辯:畢業(yè)論文的答辯是畢業(yè)論文工作的最后階段,要求學(xué)生予以充分的準(zhǔn)備和重視。論文答辯前,學(xué)生們必須充分熟悉論文,答辯時(shí),要求學(xué)生能脫稿進(jìn)行5~10分鐘的畢業(yè)論文內(nèi)容的陳述,并流利、準(zhǔn)確地回答答辯委員提出的問題。在答辯過程中,參加答辯的教師要對答辯人的語言技能(語音、語法、詞匯、語用)、口筆頭能力、論文內(nèi)容和答辯的表現(xiàn)進(jìn)行認(rèn)真紀(jì)錄,客觀公正地評分。
二、畢業(yè)論文的內(nèi)容:
畢業(yè)論文的內(nèi)容可以涉及語言知識、與語言有關(guān)的問題(如,語言教學(xué)、文化等)和相關(guān)專業(yè)的知識和內(nèi)容(如經(jīng)濟(jì)、貿(mào)易、管理、市場營銷等)。其他內(nèi)容,須經(jīng)論文審題小組集體審定。學(xué)生有選擇的論文內(nèi)容的自由,指導(dǎo)教師可以提出建議,但不能代替學(xué)生做出決定。論文內(nèi)容要能反映社會(huì)和時(shí)代特征,具有理論價(jià)值或?qū)嵺`意義,有新穎性。論文可以對某個(gè)理論問題的探討,也可以是實(shí)踐問題的解決。論文不僅要反映學(xué)生的綜合能力,而且要反映他們對相關(guān)問題的較為正確的論述,要有一定的獨(dú)立見解。論文必須做到主題明確、論據(jù)清晰、內(nèi)容具體而充實(shí),切忌空談。寫翻譯的論文,除實(shí)例分析外,還要提供原文的譯文,以便弄清譯論的依據(jù)。如果論文是實(shí)踐性的,它必須提出一定的解決途徑、方案。
三、畢業(yè)論文的評審:
指導(dǎo)教師在對論文評定成績時(shí),要參照學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)成績、平時(shí)表現(xiàn)出的語言水平和專業(yè)八級考試的成績,以正確衡量學(xué)生真實(shí)的語言和認(rèn)識水平。指導(dǎo)教師對學(xué)生的畢業(yè)論文成績提出異議,如不被采納,可提交學(xué)院畢業(yè)論文工作小組商議和仲裁。指導(dǎo)教師如發(fā)現(xiàn)學(xué)生的畢業(yè)論文有抄襲現(xiàn)象,應(yīng)及時(shí)向?qū)W生指出,學(xué)生若不接受批評,指導(dǎo)教師應(yīng)提交到學(xué)院畢業(yè)論文工作小組處理,嚴(yán)重者取消論文資格。指導(dǎo)教師應(yīng)杜絕送分的做法,也不可因個(gè)人原因影響對學(xué)生論文評價(jià)的客觀性和公正性。
四、論文的格式:
論文的規(guī)格:正文長度5,500—8,500單詞。
使用的語言:英語
論文分題目、引言、正文、參考文獻(xiàn)、致謝等部分。
引文要注明出處。直接引用要加引號,間接引文要以轉(zhuǎn)述的方式出現(xiàn)。然后以括號把引文來源寫清楚:(作者名,年份,引文所在頁碼)
論文正文部分:
1、題目大寫,三號字,新時(shí)代羅馬字,大寫下面可寫一個(gè)附標(biāo)題,4號字;
2、作者名,5號字,班級,學(xué)號
3、指導(dǎo)教師名,5號字,職稱
4、摘要:用300詞,5號字,英文一頁,中文一頁
5、關(guān)鍵詞:不能用專有名詞,詞與詞之間空四格(或一個(gè)Tab鍵),不加標(biāo)點(diǎn)符號
6、正文:用5號字,大部分標(biāo)題用5號字黑體、小部分、小小部分。大部分用羅馬字,小不分用一般數(shù)字符號:
引言:引入正題,不超過2段

五、畢業(yè)論文質(zhì)量標(biāo)準(zhǔn)
(一)選題恰當(dāng)、與畢業(yè)生的知識水平與認(rèn)識能力相當(dāng);
(二)內(nèi)容豐富、資料翔實(shí)、論證充分有力;
(三)觀點(diǎn)正確、邏輯性強(qiáng)、無違反國家大政方針的觀點(diǎn);
(四)敘述清楚、層次清晰而豐富;
(五)語言表達(dá)正確,無拼寫錯(cuò)誤、語言錯(cuò)誤控制在20-25%00(萬分之二十到二十五);
(六)用詞、造句、謀篇、布局等方面無明顯失誤,修辭錯(cuò)誤率控制在2%。

一、論文選題
學(xué)生根據(jù)自己所長在“語言、文化、文學(xué)、翻譯、教學(xué)”等方面初步擬定一 個(gè)題目,也可從指導(dǎo)教師小組給出的題目中選用一個(gè)。所選的題目必須經(jīng)指導(dǎo)教師同意后方可廣泛收集與論文有關(guān)的資料。在此基礎(chǔ)上填寫《西南政法大學(xué)本科畢業(yè)論文開題報(bào)告書》。
二、論文撰寫
1.在正式撰寫論文前,須事先擬定一個(gè)提綱(outline)交與指導(dǎo)教師,經(jīng)導(dǎo)師修正后方可正式開始撰寫。
2.論文要求用英語撰寫,字?jǐn)?shù)要求3000—5000單詞。
3.撰寫中學(xué)生要尊重指導(dǎo)教師,主動(dòng)接受導(dǎo)師的檢查和指導(dǎo),定期向?qū)焻R報(bào)論文的進(jìn)度和存在的問題,保證畢業(yè)論文反映出自己最高水平。
4.獨(dú)立完成論文各環(huán)節(jié)的工作,嚴(yán)禁抄襲和請人代替完成畢業(yè)論文。嚴(yán)禁從網(wǎng)上直接下載他人文章作為自己的畢業(yè)論文。以上情況一經(jīng)發(fā)現(xiàn),其畢業(yè)論文一律按不及格處理。
5.所寫論文應(yīng)立意新穎,內(nèi)容充實(shí),論據(jù)充分,結(jié)論可信。
三、論文撰寫格式
1.論文題目(英文,應(yīng)簡短、明確、有概括性)2.作者姓名(漢語拼音,如:Zhang Junjie)3.作者所在學(xué)院(英文)、郵編
4.摘要(英文,應(yīng)高度概括論文的內(nèi)容、方法和觀點(diǎn),以及取得的成果和結(jié)論,反映整個(gè)論文的精華。要客觀陳述、獨(dú)立成文,200詞左右。)

9.注釋:注釋是對論著正文中某一特定內(nèi)容的進(jìn)一步解釋或補(bǔ)充說明。畢業(yè)論文的注釋統(tǒng)一采用腳注,每頁按先后順序單獨(dú)編號,在正文的相關(guān)處用上標(biāo)表明,用數(shù)字加圓圈標(biāo)注(如①,②……)。

12.正文標(biāo)題層次格式:正文段落均采用首行縮進(jìn)格式,段落與段落之間不空行。各級標(biāo)題格式舉例如下:

四、論文交稿時(shí)間
第7學(xué)期學(xué)生需與指導(dǎo)教師聯(lián)絡(luò)一次,初步擬定論文題目。第8學(xué)期第4周交初稿;第6周填寫中期檢查表,第12周學(xué)生上交定稿。第14周教師完成評閱工作。不按時(shí)交論文定稿而影響論文成績者,其后果由學(xué)生自己承擔(dān)。
五、論文交稿要求
畢業(yè)論文要求交打印稿,一式三份。優(yōu)秀畢業(yè)論文一式四份。所有論文在下學(xué)期第十六周用英語進(jìn)行論文答辯。

一、指導(dǎo)教師接到任務(wù)后,請與本周內(nèi)召集所帶學(xué)生開預(yù)備會(huì),制定論文寫作的時(shí)間表,并且指導(dǎo)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)“外國語學(xué)院英語專業(yè)本科畢業(yè)論文撰寫規(guī)范”文件(見外語學(xué)院網(wǎng)站下載專區(qū))。
二、指導(dǎo)學(xué)生在三周之內(nèi)完成開題工作:包括確定論文題目、審閱論文提綱、填寫開題報(bào)告和任務(wù)書。
三、開題報(bào)告中“畢業(yè)設(shè)計(jì)(論文)工作計(jì)劃安排”一欄統(tǒng)一填寫:
第七學(xué)期第14周:確定論文寫作方向。
第八學(xué)期第5—6周:交論文提綱,完成開題工作。
第7—11周:寫初稿,并準(zhǔn)備教務(wù)處中期抽查。
第11周末:完成初稿,交指導(dǎo)老師審閱。
第12—14周:根據(jù)指導(dǎo)老師意見修改初稿,完成第二、三稿。第14—15周:論文定稿,印刷、裝訂(一式3份)。
任務(wù)書中“進(jìn)度安排”一欄應(yīng)與此相一致。
四、指導(dǎo)教師應(yīng)嚴(yán)格審閱學(xué)生所填的開題報(bào)告、任務(wù)書各個(gè)部分內(nèi)容,并簽署指導(dǎo)教師意見。尤其注意提醒學(xué)生注意:在寫作過程中,若論文題目用詞作了調(diào)整,開題報(bào)告、任務(wù)書中的標(biāo)題也要隨時(shí)更新。
五、針對考研同學(xué),指導(dǎo)教師可單獨(dú)制定時(shí)間表,但必須在放假前完成開題,各類表格填寫完整。
六、中期檢查表和過程管理表(可在外語學(xué)院網(wǎng)站下載專區(qū)下載)可提前讓學(xué)生填寫,日期應(yīng)以下學(xué)期為準(zhǔn)。
七、由于學(xué)生寫作態(tài)度惡劣,或研究水平極低、或英文語言極差等原因,指導(dǎo)教師可決定中止對其指導(dǎo),并將寫出書面報(bào)告及時(shí)上報(bào),由學(xué)院做出進(jìn)一步處理,指導(dǎo)教師工作量不受影響。
注:整個(gè)論文寫作過程中,學(xué)生和老師都應(yīng)建立專門文件夾,把論文內(nèi)容及各種表格、文件等保存電子版,做到隨時(shí)能夠提供。

畢業(yè)論文是本科教學(xué)工作過程中的重要環(huán)節(jié),是對學(xué)生綜合運(yùn)用本學(xué)科基本理論、專門知識和技能解決實(shí)際問題和從事科學(xué)研究的初步能力的訓(xùn)練與檢驗(yàn)。為規(guī)范英語專業(yè)畢業(yè)論文工作,特制定本論文格式規(guī)范。

單獨(dú)起頁。在起始頁第一行居中位置注明Acknowledgements(三號加粗Times New Roman)字樣,往下至行文第一行之間空一個(gè)double space。本部分內(nèi)容為對自己在論文寫作中提供過實(shí)質(zhì)性幫助的人表達(dá)謝意,內(nèi)容要簡明、得體。學(xué)生可以參照畢業(yè)論文范文中的致謝形式和內(nèi)容。
5.英文摘要(Abstract)
單獨(dú)起頁。在起始頁第一行居中位置注明Abstract字樣,往下至行文第一行之間空一個(gè)double space。摘要內(nèi)容須能反映論文的主題思想。摘要內(nèi)容書寫完畢以后,往下空出一個(gè)double space的位置標(biāo)注Key words:字樣,隨后給出能反映全文主要內(nèi)容的關(guān)鍵詞3—6個(gè)。居中打印Abstract(三號Times New Roman字體加粗),空一行打印英文摘要內(nèi)容及關(guān)鍵詞(小四號Times New Roman字體),摘要內(nèi)容每段開頭留四個(gè)字符空格。摘要內(nèi)容后下?lián)Q行打印Key words(小四號Times New Roman字體加粗),每一關(guān)鍵詞之間用逗號分開,最后一個(gè)關(guān)鍵詞后不打標(biāo)點(diǎn)符號。

6.中文摘要
單獨(dú)起頁。中文摘要即英文摘要之漢譯。在起始頁第一行居中位置注明“摘要”二字(三號加粗宋體),“摘要”二字下空一行打印摘要內(nèi)容(小四號宋體),每段開頭空二個(gè)漢字的距離。摘要內(nèi)容后下空一行打印“關(guān)鍵詞:”字樣(小四號加粗宋體),每一關(guān)鍵詞之間用分號分開,最后一個(gè)關(guān)鍵詞后不打標(biāo)點(diǎn)符號。中文關(guān)鍵詞也為英文關(guān)鍵詞之漢譯。
6.目錄(Contents)
單獨(dú)起頁。在起始頁第一行居中位置注Contents字樣,往下空一個(gè)double space。靠左位置分條目(依照其出現(xiàn)的先后順序)列出論文的如下各個(gè)部分:論文的各個(gè)章節(jié)標(biāo)題、Notes、Bibliography,靠右注明相應(yīng)的起始頁碼數(shù)。所有條目的措辭、大小寫、以及標(biāo)點(diǎn)符號與其在文章中的嚴(yán)格一致。列出論文的大標(biāo)題、一級和二級節(jié)標(biāo)題,逐項(xiàng)標(biāo)明頁碼,標(biāo)題應(yīng)該簡明扼要,點(diǎn)出各部分主要內(nèi)容。
“Contents”居中(三號加粗Times New Roman),下空兩行為章、節(jié)、小節(jié)(靠左)及起始頁碼(靠右)。各大小標(biāo)題與頁碼之間用“--------”連接。
7.論文正文(Body Part)
單獨(dú)起頁。正文由Introduction, Demonstration和Conclusion三大部分組成,論文標(biāo)題位于正文首頁第一行居中位置,采用小三號加粗字體,三大部分標(biāo)題采用小四號加粗字體,而每部分小標(biāo)題用小四號斜體,正文用小四號字體。正文行距為1.5倍,論文標(biāo)題與第一部分Introduction之間空一個(gè)double space,每一小點(diǎn)之間也為一個(gè)double space距離(上下兩個(gè)小標(biāo)題連在一起除外)。正文一律采用Times New Roman字體。
8.注釋(Notes)
英語專業(yè)論文注釋及參考文獻(xiàn)格式參照目前國際上比較常見的MLA style,分別由Notes,Works Cited和Bibliography組成。
Notes為解釋性注釋,使用尾注形式,單獨(dú)起頁。該頁根據(jù)各論文的實(shí)際需要可有可無。作為一個(gè)獨(dú)立部分,尾注須單獨(dú)起頁,在起始頁第一行居中位置注明Notes字樣。所有尾注按照在正文中引用的先后順序統(tǒng)一用上標(biāo)1、2、3??格式編號。上標(biāo)符號與每一條注釋第一個(gè)單詞之間空一格,每一條注釋第一行縮進(jìn)五個(gè)空格。
9.引用書目(Works Cited)
Works Cited是指在論文中實(shí)際引用的書目,它是按照作者姓氏的字母順序排列的,并且按照英文書目在前、中文書目在后的順序排列。
單獨(dú)起頁。在起始頁第一行居中位置注Works Cited字樣,往下空一個(gè)double space。每一條書目無需序號,首行靠左邊頂格開始,第二行起往右縮進(jìn)五個(gè)字母的位置。每條書目內(nèi)部及之間空一個(gè)double space.其規(guī)范格式如下所示: 1)The author’s name(last name first), followed by a period;2)The title of the book, italicized and followed by a period(for an essay, a poem, a short story, or a play in a collection, the title of the relevant selection, followed by a period and enclosed in quotation marks);3)The city in which the book was published, followed by a colon;4)The name of the publishing company, followed by a comma;

11.引文
引文要準(zhǔn)確,盡量短小、適度。
比較短的直接引文(散文在40單詞或詩2行之內(nèi))使用段中引文形式,即前后加引號,與論文融為一體、無需獨(dú)立起段。詩歌的兩行之間用斜線(/)分開,且斜線的前后空一格,保留原文的大小寫,如:
(例1)George Orwell, the English essayist and novelist, explains that“Dickens’s criticism of society is almost exclusively moral.”
(例2)In his “Hymn to Intellectual Beauty,” Shelley personifies the immaterial, spiritual world:“The awful shadow of some unseen Power / Floats though unseen amongst us.”
比較長的直接引文(四行及以上)則使用提引文形式,即須單獨(dú)起段落引入。引文上下空一個(gè)double space,整體向后退縮10個(gè)空格,無需使用引號, 如: Albert Bigelow Paine 3 points out in Afterword of Mark Twain’s Notebook,Always from youth to age he strove against oppression, superstition, sham, hypocrisy, evil in every form.He fought in the open, with that most powerful of all weapons, truth – unanswerable logic supplemented by ridicule.He believed that no abuse could withstand ridicule, and he went far toward approving it.12.打印及裝訂要求
論文內(nèi)容一律采用WORD文字處理軟件,用A4規(guī)格輸出,即常規(guī)打印。
