Dear Editor,We would like to submit the enclosed manuscript entitled “GDNF Acutely Modulates Neuronal Excitability and A-type Potassium Channels in Midbrain Dopaminergic Neurons”, which we wish to be considered for publication in Nature Neuroscience.GDNF has long been thought to be a potent neurotrophic factor for the survival of midbrain dopaminergic neurons, which are degenerated in Parkinson’s disease.In this paper, we report an unexpected, acute effect of GDNF on A-type potassium channels, leading to a potentiation of neuronal excitability, in the dopaminergic neurons in culture as well as in adult brain slices.Further, we show that GDNF regulates the K+ channels through a mechanism that involves activation of MAP kinase.Thus, this study has revealed, for the first time, an acute modulation of ion channels by GDNF.Our findings challenge the classic view of GDNF as a long-term survival factor for midbrain dopaminergic neurons, and suggest that the normal function of GDNF is to regulate neuronal excitability, and consequently dopamine release.These results may also have implications in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.Due to a direct competition and conflict of interest, we request that Drs.XXX of Harvard Univ., and YY of Yale Univ.not be considered as reviewers.With thanks for your consideration, I am

Dear Editor,We would like to submit the enclosed manuscript entitled “Ca2+-binding protein frequenin mediates GDNF-induced potentiation of Ca2+ channels and transmitter release”, which we wish to be considered for publication in Neuron.We believe that two aspects of this manuscript will make it interesting to general readers of Neuron.First, we report that GDNF has a long-term regulatory effect on neurotransmitter release at the neuromuscular synapses.This provides the first physiological evidence for a role of this new family of neurotrophic factors in functional synaptic transmission.Second, we show that the GDNF effect is mediated by enhancing the expression of the Ca2+-binding protein frequenin.Further, GDNF and frequenin facilitate synaptic transmission by enhancing Ca2+ channel activity, leading to an enhancement of Ca2+ influx.Thus, this study has identified, for the first time, a molecular target that mediates the long-term, synaptic action of a neurotrophic factor.Our findings may also have general implications in the cell biology of neurotransmitter release.[0630][投稿寫(xiě)作]某雜志給出的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)Sample Cover Letter[the example used is the IJEB]

本文提出了一種基于改進(jìn)粒子群算法和混沌神經(jīng)網(wǎng)絡(luò)相結(jié)合的電力系統(tǒng)負(fù)荷預(yù)測(cè)的方法。針對(duì)傳統(tǒng)的粒子群算法精度低、易發(fā)散等缺點(diǎn),同時(shí)采用線(xiàn)性遞減慣性權(quán)重和壓縮因子,結(jié)合遺傳算法交叉變異對(duì)其進(jìn)行改進(jìn)。利用粒子群優(yōu)化算法優(yōu)化出混沌神經(jīng)網(wǎng)絡(luò)的權(quán)值和閾值,然后利用得到的權(quán)值和閾值,對(duì)輸入神經(jīng)網(wǎng)絡(luò)的負(fù)荷值進(jìn)行預(yù)測(cè),得到預(yù)測(cè)日的相應(yīng)時(shí)刻負(fù)荷值。最后通過(guò)實(shí)際應(yīng)用,采用MATLAB編程實(shí)現(xiàn)預(yù)測(cè)模型,證明該方法有較高的預(yù)測(cè)精度和較好的準(zhǔn)確性,具備一定的實(shí)際應(yīng)用價(jià)值。本論文的創(chuàng)新點(diǎn)在于:
(1)提出了一種改進(jìn)粒子群算法和混沌神經(jīng)網(wǎng)絡(luò)相結(jié)合的負(fù)荷預(yù)測(cè)方法;
(2)同時(shí)采用線(xiàn)性遞減慣性權(quán)重和壓縮因子,結(jié)合遺傳算法交叉變異對(duì)傳統(tǒng)的粒子群算法進(jìn)行改進(jìn),克服了其精度低、易發(fā)散等缺點(diǎn);

1.投稿信的概念及其作用
投稿信,是個(gè)人或集體(寫(xiě)作集體)向報(bào)刊、電臺(tái)或電視臺(tái)投送稿件時(shí)寫(xiě)的專(zhuān)用書(shū)信。它一般隨稿件同時(shí)寄發(fā)。投稿信,主要是介紹作者自己和稿件的有關(guān)情況,給對(duì)方考慮是否采用稿件時(shí)作參考。
2.投稿信的寫(xiě)作格式
投稿信的寫(xiě)作格式與一般書(shū)信相同,只是內(nèi)容側(cè)重點(diǎn)不同,所寫(xiě)事項(xiàng)更明確、更單一。
(1)第一行頂格寫(xiě)對(duì)方的稱(chēng)呼,如“《××× ×》雜志編輯部”、“編輯同志”、或“×× ×編輯同志”。
(2)開(kāi)頭。另起一行,空兩格寫(xiě)問(wèn)候語(yǔ),如“你好”、“您好”或“你們好”。
(3)正文。正文的內(nèi)容應(yīng)根據(jù)具體情況來(lái)寫(xiě),主要是介紹自己稿件的有關(guān)情況。一般應(yīng)反映出以下幾方面內(nèi)容:
