Karen(MC): Welcome to the Asian leadership series.My name is Karen from the department of management, and I?m your MC for this evening.Some of you may wonder how this talk came about, actually it is through a conversation between the case manager and myself, about how much we want to find a young, successful Asian business leader, and someone who all our undergraduate students can relate to.And the he said ?well, Karen have you heard about the founder of the post production office limited, Nicholas Tse?? And I said ?Perfect!?

So, with the tremendous support of the post production office limited, we give you our delivering of the first Asian leadership series.So thank you very much for coming.So, since this talk is especially for you students, the whole event is going to be hosted by students.So the format is this: The first 20 minutes or so Mr.Nicholas Tse is going to share some of his experience and insights with us, and that will be followed by an about 45 minute chatting session between the 3 student interviewers and Mr.Nicholas Tse, and then we?ll be round up by a 15 minute Q&A session.So may I now invite the 3 student interviewers, Jocelyn, Mandy and Nathan to the floor please.So before we officially kick off the event, just a friendly reminder of some simple house rules.First can you please switch your mobile phones to silent mode, and secondly, no laptop, computer, no live recording, and third, I understand everyone is very excited but please remain seated during the event.And, last but not least, if you want to leave the lecture theatre during the event, can you please use the doors at the back.So, without further ado, can I please invite Professor Roger King, director of the Centre for the Business Case Studies and he himself a highly successful business leader to kick off the event.謝謝！謝霆鋒先生的到來(lái)，對(duì)HKUST來(lái)說(shuō)是十分榮幸。首先，我想要感謝我們的校長(zhǎng)Tony的到來(lái)，還有院長(zhǎng)Brandon Chan，以及眾多的貴賓，但最重要的是，是你們這些同學(xué)的到來(lái)。我想這應(yīng)該是我們舉辦過(guò)的最隆重的活動(dòng)之一，我想讓你知道，Nicholas從我們這次活動(dòng)報(bào)名開(kāi)始時(shí)，僅僅幾個(gè)小時(shí)內(nèi)，名額就滿了。事實(shí)上，這個(gè)禮堂僅僅能容納400人，在一天的時(shí)間里，有1700個(gè)人要參加,而且他們很顯然不是來(lái)看TONY的，也不是我。不管怎樣，我想講講我們的案例研究中心，你們可能知道也可能不知道，HKUST商學(xué)院有一個(gè)案例研究中心，只最近成立的。我想告訴你們?yōu)槭裁次覀円闪⑺聦?shí)上是出于我們?cè)洪L(zhǎng)的鼓勵(lì)，基本上你們都了解案例研究的概念，對(duì)于那些不了解這些或者沒(méi)機(jī)會(huì)了解的，案例研究就是通過(guò)寫案例，把真實(shí)的商業(yè)情況帶入課堂，我們也會(huì)根據(jù)理論基礎(chǔ)讓同學(xué)們?nèi)シ治鲞@些商業(yè)狀況。我是想借此說(shuō)明，很多學(xué)校比如哈佛，常青藤，達(dá)特茅斯都在寫案例，為什么我們不呢？我的同事，彭教授，在我告訴Leonard：“我們要這樣做”之前，他讓我做一個(gè)基本方案，所以我說(shuō)：“好吧，在我們開(kāi)始做之前，做個(gè)調(diào)查，來(lái)知道我們能在學(xué)校做些什么，誰(shuí)會(huì)用到這些案例?！比缓笪覀?cè)谒蠱BA課程的老師中開(kāi)始了調(diào)查，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)，首先，在院長(zhǎng)的鼓勵(lì)下，有2/3，超過(guò)66%的人對(duì)這個(gè)調(diào)查做出了回應(yīng)。我們發(fā)現(xiàn)，學(xué)生們真的很喜歡有案例分析的課堂。這是第一。在有案例分析的課堂上，學(xué)生們往往能拿到更好的成績(jī)，這對(duì)老師來(lái)說(shuō)也是非常有益的。第二，他們也會(huì)喜歡上這樣授課的老師。第三是，為什么我們總是在研究西方的商業(yè)案例？為什么我們沒(méi)有亞洲案例呢？因此，我們現(xiàn)在的中心就放在亞洲的案例上。事實(shí)上，我和我的同事達(dá)成了共識(shí)：亞洲人為了亞洲人研究亞洲案例，不是說(shuō)，哈佛來(lái)的我們就不給研究。但我希望，在未來(lái)的幾年中，他們會(huì)需要我們的案例。為什么呢？因?yàn)楣鸾淌趥兊乃枷胝娴亩挤浅５奈骰?，他們不能了解我們這里商業(yè)運(yùn)作，于是我們的主要目標(biāo)就是這樣。很幸運(yùn)很多人都在支持這項(xiàng)計(jì)劃。事實(shí)上，10年來(lái)這個(gè)中心，我們并沒(méi)有吸引很多人來(lái)書寫案例、教授案例，但我們正在朝著那個(gè)方向努力，這就是活動(dòng)的目的，而且我們大多數(shù)的案例研究，都可以很榮幸的請(qǐng)到其中的真正參與者，但是在課堂上有時(shí)候更重要的是，我想起了一個(gè)我的案例，他來(lái)到了我們的課堂，這個(gè)人真的參與在案例中，他對(duì)我說(shuō)：“ROGER，你知道嗎？這項(xiàng)事業(yè)太棒了！”我從同學(xué)那里得到了很多很好的建議，事實(shí)上這是我得到的最便宜的咨詢方式，所以這項(xiàng)計(jì)劃真的很需要同學(xué)們的參與，這是去分析真實(shí)生活狀況的好機(jī)會(huì)。我再次確定了你們不是為了來(lái)聽(tīng)我講話的。很榮幸。這里就不用介紹謝霆鋒先生啦，但真的很高興今天他以企業(yè)家的身份來(lái)到這里，他幾年前開(kāi)創(chuàng)了公司，他當(dāng)年—猜猜多少歲？—22歲！好像還是昨天，對(duì)吧。他現(xiàn)在有著非常成功的企業(yè)，有在香港的工作室，在上海也有分公司。我就先說(shuō)到這，我要邀請(qǐng)霆鋒上臺(tái)。他們顯然不是為了我鼓掌吧？

Professor King: Thank you all.It?s really a great, great honor and privilege for HKUST to have Mr.Nicholas Tse here.First of all I would like to also thank our president Tony, to be here, and our dean Brandon Chan, and of course many other honored guests, but, most importantly, you students.I think this is probably one of the biggest events we?ve ever had.Just to let you know Nicholas the registry opened and within hours, it was totally full.In fact, this room only holds 400 people.Within a day and a half, we had 1700 people sign up, and they clearly didn?t come to see Tony.Nor me.But anyway, I was asked to say a few words about our case center, and many of you may or may not be aware of it, we have a case center here in HKUST?s business coup, which is relatively new.And let me just tell you why we started this thing.It was actually the encouragement of our Dean and basically most of you probably aware of the notion of the case study itself.For those of you who may not understand, case study actually brings in real-life business situations into the classroom by writing cases on that company usually, and but we also back it up with theory, and allow students to actually analyse the situation itself.So by having said that, there are a lot of other schools particularly Harvard, Ivy league and many many other schools do write cases.So why should we be writing cases? Well one of my colleagues Professor pang here and what we did was before I said to Leonard “Yes we will do this” because he asked me to do it on a proposal base I might say.So I said “Well, before we actually do this let?s take a survey and understand what are we currently do in our school and who uses the case method.” And so we did was we actually took a survey for all the faculty members that are teaching the MBA program itself.OK~ and what we discovered was first of all at the encouragement of the Dean we actually had 2/3 of the faculty responded to the survey over 66% and what was discovered was that students actually like class that have cases in it.NO.1, they gained higher scores for class that had that, so for those of you who are teaching this is great news.The second thing is that(they)actually like the professor that?s teaching it.And the third thing was how come we always study western company cases, why don?t we have more Asian cases? And therefore our main main focus is now on Asian.In fact, my colleagues and I（某人名）as well, have now coined the concept—— Asian cases by Asians for Asians.Now it?s not to say that someone from Harvard they ask for a case we don?t give it to them.But I would hope that in a few years, they would actually come to us and ask for cases.Why? Because a Harvard professor their thinking-class is very very western.They don?t really understand how businesses are conducted in this part.And hence that?s our primary goal here.And we are also very very lucky that many of our faculties now have been supporting the concept itself and in fact even though 10-year system in the school doesn?t necessarily recognize those centres involved in writing cases or even teaching cases, but we are moving along that long.So this is the purpose of that and in fact many our cases we are able to invite honoured guest to come but more importantly in the classroom sometimes.And I recall one of my cases the individual that came to the class, this is the person that actually in the case itself, he said to me “Roger, you know what? This is great~!I?m getting so many good suggestions from students.In fact, it?s the cheapest consulting service I?ve ever had” so you know the whole idea is you need to participate for you students in this room.And it?s a great great opportunity to analyses real-life situations.So I?m sure again that you?re not here because you want to listen to me.So it gives me great pleasure, and Nicholas really needs no introduction, but here today he?s coming as a entrepreneur, a business he?s founded, several years back, when he was only , guess how old? 22!That was only yesterday right? And he has a very very successful business.He has an office here in Hong Kong of course, as well as in Shanghai I understand.So, without further ado, I would like to invite Nicholas to come up.大家好，謝謝你們熱情的歡迎。女士們先生們，謝謝你們讓我站在大學(xué)講堂里，你們真是太熱情啦。我被邀請(qǐng)用英語(yǔ)演講，因此我會(huì)用英語(yǔ)，但有些人會(huì)覺(jué)得用中文或者粵語(yǔ)跟順耳。我真心希望在活動(dòng)結(jié)束后，你我都能從中得到些東西，留下些深刻的回憶，好嗎？哇，我現(xiàn)在真的很緊張，可能是因?yàn)槲业谝淮我訡EO身份出現(xiàn)在公眾場(chǎng)合，有這么多人在場(chǎng)，有趣的是，事實(shí)上我一直都在做著類似的工作，我在世界各地發(fā)表演講，演出，交流，觀眾從30人到13萬(wàn)人，但從沒(méi)這么緊張過(guò)，緊張得發(fā)抖，可能是因?yàn)檫@次我所面對(duì)的是研究學(xué)院的（學(xué)生教授們），我感到有點(diǎn)（力所不及）······我真的覺(jué)得我在和別的世界的人在講話，我被丟下了。首先我要告訴你們的是，我在十年級(jí)的時(shí)候就輟學(xué)了，但我真的很渴望能像你們一樣完成學(xué)業(yè)，你們中的大多數(shù)才只是走到學(xué)業(yè)的一半，但是堅(jiān)持走下去，然后拿到那張?jiān)撍赖膶W(xué)位證！如果我可以用我自己已有的這些財(cái)富、所謂的榮譽(yù)、名聲，去買回15年（完成學(xué)業(yè)），但是要讓我保留現(xiàn)在所有的知識(shí)，并回到15年前，我愿意和你們交換位置，我真的愿意交換。我差不多十年級(jí)的時(shí)候退學(xué)了，從那之后，只要我踏入所謂的商業(yè)世界，每天我都因?yàn)闆](méi)有完成學(xué)業(yè)，而憎恨自己，感到遺憾，也許我會(huì)成為藝術(shù)家，農(nóng)業(yè)家，建筑學(xué)家，制陶家······誰(shuí)知道呢？我不知道?；蛘呤荕BA，但我放棄了。過(guò)去的每一天，我都在后悔，你們可能現(xiàn)在還感覺(jué)不到，但是當(dāng)你和別人交流想法時(shí)，那（學(xué)位證）真的很重要，當(dāng)你想說(shuō)服別人接受你的新想法時(shí)，那張紙（學(xué)位證）就意味著很多東西，人們會(huì)以此評(píng)判你，他們會(huì)質(zhì)疑你，這樣的現(xiàn)實(shí)讓我感到很艱難，這樣的現(xiàn)實(shí)讓我感到很難過(guò)。所以我來(lái)到這里，希望能說(shuō)服你們，完成學(xué)業(yè)，嘗試各種方法堅(jiān)持自己的學(xué)業(yè)，拿到那張學(xué)位證，好嗎？不要走我走過(guò)的錯(cuò)路。你們可能不知道我過(guò)去的九年在經(jīng)營(yíng)后期制作公司，這個(gè)工作和我唱歌、演戲那些演藝圈工作截然不同，是謝霆鋒的商業(yè)部分。額···我們的總部在香港，我們有上海分公司，運(yùn)行得也很好，我們計(jì)劃在···在5月底，在北京開(kāi)設(shè)一間分公司，我可以這樣說(shuō)嗎？這件事很緊促，都很···所以我要和同事商量下看能不能在5月底實(shí)現(xiàn)。當(dāng)我提到后期制作，很多人都覺(jué)得是新鮮的行業(yè)，那什么是后期制作呢？后期制作，在我看來(lái)就是—音頻制作、線上編輯、離線編輯、文字排版、動(dòng)畫、電腦制圖······所有這些，就是你在電視上、廣告上、影院里甚至是網(wǎng)上看到的一切，你們看到的每個(gè)視覺(jué)效果，其實(shí)都是通過(guò)后期制作來(lái)達(dá)到播出時(shí)的效果的，我很高興的說(shuō)，它的市場(chǎng)需求量很大，否則我也不會(huì)坐在這兒了。為了進(jìn)一步解釋我們所做的有關(guān)視覺(jué)的工作，我回展示一下公司的宣傳片，這是我們?cè)谙愀酆蛢?nèi)地做的一些品牌，你們可能看過(guò)或許沒(méi)有。謝謝，這是一些我們現(xiàn)在在做的東西，但是你們剛才看到的都是后期制作的成品，我更愿意展示的是，制作之前和之后的差別，這是我們的謀生之道，我要給你們看的是叫做Canon G12的范本，是在兩年前，一個(gè)很有名的制作團(tuán)隊(duì)拍攝的廣告，我們來(lái)看一下。現(xiàn)在你們看到僅僅是綠幕前···一個(gè)拿著相機(jī)的模特，設(shè)就是全部，對(duì)不起，就是一個(gè)普通的拍攝手法，這顯然還沒(méi)到有趣的部分，這就是我們接下這個(gè)工作時(shí)得到的全部資源，我們?nèi)ズ蛯?dǎo)演、制片人交換意見(jiàn)，嗨我們?yōu)槭裁床患狱c(diǎn)有趣的東西進(jìn)去，來(lái)提高觀賞水準(zhǔn)，多彩的圖形之類的···我們能看下一段嗎？通過(guò)加入音效和視覺(jué)效果，你可以看到一層一層的鋪設(shè)，一步一步的渲染，這就是我們提高視覺(jué)效果的步驟，在超過(guò)1160層的鋪設(shè)進(jìn)去后，然后得到了成品，就是這樣，我們?cè)賮?lái)看一下最終的效果。NIC: Hello.Thank you for the warm welcome.And…Ladies and gentlemen welcome and thank you for having me on campus.This is truly overwhelming.Really.I?m instructed to deliver a speech in English.So therefore I will be speaking in English.But if any of you prefer to speak in Cantonese or mandarin, please feel free to do so.I do hope that at the end of the session, both parties you and I will gain something out of it and leave behind somewhat, to take it as memory, all right? Wow, this is really intense right now, for me, really, maybe because this is my first time to show up as an entrepreneur, in front of the crowd.What is very odd is that I?ve been doing this most of my life.I have been giving speeches and performances, and talks around the world.The crowds ranging from 30 people to 130,000 people, but never have been so uptight and nerve-racking.Maybe it?s because I am simply put in front of a crowd of academics.And I feel that I?m not actually out of my…I do feel I?m talking to another caliber;I?m left out.So the first point is really to tell you I dropped out of school in grade 10.And I urge you really to go through your education.Most of you I think have gone half way.Really.Might as well go all the way and grab that piece of paper!If I had the chance to take all the wealth and so called fame and glory that I have right now, and buy back 15 years of life, but keep the knowledge that I have now and relive the physique I had 15 years ago and trade places with you right now.I would make that trade in a heartbeat, really.I dropped out school when I was…maybe in grade 10, and ever since I set put into the so called business world.There has not been a day that has gone by without me hating myself regretting that I did not fully commit to my education.Maybe fine arts, agriculture, architecture, ceramics…who knows, I don?t know.MBA.But, I dropped.And every day that has gone by, I do regret.Some of you may not feel it right now.But that diploma when you are trying to close a deal with someone, it means just that much more.When you are trying to convince someone to an idea, concept, something new, that piece of paper will just mean that much more and people will judge you, and they?ll doubt you that much less.That is reality, and it has been hard for me but…so I think I?m here to hopefully convince you to go through, go to the education, go all the way, grab that piece of paper before you leave.OK? Do not walk the path I?ve ever gone through.So for the people who did not know, I have been running a so called post production business for the past 9 years.And that?s what I do apart from the acting or the singing part, the entertainment part.There?s also the business part of Nicholas Tse.We are based on Hong Kong right now.We have a sub branch in Shanghai, it?s going very well.We are going to open in Beijing in the end…h(huán)opefully the end of May.Can I say that, please? Because we are in a rush and everything is really….so I?m looking at my colleague whether we can pull it off at the end of May.When I say post production it?s actually to a lot of people a very foreign term.So what is post production? Post-production is… I mean but by audio dubbing, online editing, offline editing, compositing, animation, computer graphics…all that good stuff.Actually, everything you see right now on television, advertising, was, or in the cinema, or even in the internet.Every visual image you see right now is actually…it has…it should have undergone the process of post-production in order to achieve a certain standard of broadcast quality.And just by saying that I?m very very happy to say that it has already obvious very high demand, or else I will not be here today.And so…for a more visual explanation of what I do, I would like to show the company reel and…These are some of the brands that we do represent in Hong Kong or in the mainland China right now.Some of you may recognize or may not recognize it.OK? Thank you.That?s some of these brands that we represent at the moment, but…what you have just seen is the pretty side of the production.I would actually like to show you some of the before and after as to actually how we make a living.So what I?m about to show you, is a…something called the Canon G12 model.It is an advertisement shot 2 years ago by a very famous crew.But, why don?t I show you.Here you see in front of the green screen, just a…it?s merely a model holding a camera.And all it is…it?s just actually a track back show of this model…it?s quite not up to the entertaining part…This is the source that we got when we first accepted this project.We have taken the initiative to talk to the producer and director and say…h(huán)ey, why don?t we do something more interesting and something that is to the next level…graphic wise and so…can we show the next layer? So with audio and visual enhancement…each layer by layer you can see that inch by inch…this is what we do to enhance the visual effect…for the outcome…After 1160 and some more layers and modelling put onto this image, you got the finished product…that?s it.All right, that?s one more full version or finished version.你們了解到了吧，這就是我們的工作。你們可能不知道，這就是后期制作。到現(xiàn)在為止，有什么問(wèn)題嗎？不如我來(lái)問(wèn)問(wèn)題吧！這里的人，誰(shuí)想要成功？如果想，請(qǐng)舉手，我很確信這樣做（舉手），是什么事情阻止你舉手呢？不管怎樣。第二個(gè)問(wèn)題，更重要的問(wèn)題：誰(shuí)在撒謊？我很確信，如果你出去隨便問(wèn)一個(gè)人，誰(shuí)想成功？99%的人都會(huì)回答：我想成功。我想要成為最好的籃球運(yùn)動(dòng)員，我要成為最好的冰球選手，最好的藝術(shù)家，工程師之類的···他們會(huì)這么。但大多數(shù)人只是想成功而已，但你對(duì)自己真的坦誠(chéng)嗎？你知道你熱愛(ài)的東西是什么嗎？強(qiáng)項(xiàng)和弱點(diǎn)在哪里？自己適合什么樣的職位？怎樣得到別人賞識(shí)？怎樣推銷自己？我成立這家公司，因?yàn)椤ぁぁぴ?2、23歲時(shí)，我在拍一部電影，我看到導(dǎo)演走去CG，圖像處理技術(shù)人員，問(wèn)道：我們可以做到···我想要做···（的效果）我們可以添加特效嗎？

他（CG工作人員）猶豫了，呆住了，我想：唉~就這樣（拍攝）停滯了一個(gè)小時(shí)，但，滴答、滴答、滴答···（時(shí)間）就是金錢，然后他（導(dǎo)演）打電話給高層，請(qǐng)求更多的經(jīng)費(fèi)：“他們想要做這樣的（效果），我們可以（加費(fèi)用）”。之后的幾天沒(méi)有音訊了，賠進(jìn)去了很多錢，在這期間，我在拍攝其他的音樂(lè)錄影帶，開(kāi)演唱會(huì)，拍廣告，電影，在我自己的作品中，我也想提高視覺(jué)水準(zhǔn)，然后我想，哇！這是個(gè)商機(jī)！我們?yōu)槭裁丛谶@個(gè)領(lǐng)域發(fā)展得如此落后呢？所以···如果你們有誰(shuí)讀過(guò)我的專訪，我當(dāng)時(shí)把財(cái)產(chǎn)、和一大筆錢都投了進(jìn)去，開(kāi)始的時(shí)候只有4到6個(gè)人，我買了一件二手的設(shè)備，然后，很幸運(yùn)的，我今天能站在這里。你們需要了解的是，看起來(lái)謝霆鋒好像是把一切都賭上了，其實(shí)沒(méi)有，這的確是賭博，但是···在我買那些二手設(shè)備之前，我已經(jīng)過(guò)了計(jì)算，跟一些制片人簽訂了合同，包括3部電影，2個(gè)廣告，3個(gè)音樂(lè)錄影帶，這樣就可以預(yù)支我一年半的生活費(fèi)，所以如果我的生意失敗了，我還是可以有日常的開(kāi)銷的，那樣我就不會(huì)自殺，因?yàn)槲屹u掉了房子，賣掉了一切，什么都沒(méi)有了，所以我做足了準(zhǔn)備，所以我不想讓你們得到錯(cuò)誤的信息—“他賣掉了一切，我也可以這樣做”。請(qǐng)千萬(wàn)不要。我是想告訴你們，想要成功，首先要對(duì)自己誠(chéng)懇，但是因?yàn)橛行┤苏f(shuō)：我想成功。但是相對(duì)于成功，我們更想睡懶覺(jué)，相對(duì)于成功，我們更想打扮的酷酷的去玩，相對(duì)于成功，我們更想跟朋友們出去鬼混，去看電影。只有對(duì)自己坦誠(chéng)，找到你真正熱愛(ài)的東西，才能讓你遠(yuǎn)離那些誘惑，專心實(shí)現(xiàn)目標(biāo)，我不相信“熟能生巧”，對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)，沒(méi)有完美，總是會(huì)有更進(jìn)一步的空間，對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)，實(shí)踐，是永恒的，雖然你很可能沒(méi)把事情搞砸，但是也沒(méi)有做到完美，這只是我的觀點(diǎn)。有問(wèn)題嗎？這三位同學(xué)現(xiàn)在很讓人望而生畏，因?yàn)樗麄兒孟耠S時(shí)都會(huì)提出一些高難度的問(wèn)題，像要對(duì)我出忍著飛鏢似的。

Whereas you found your passion, you know your strength and weaknesses, where to place yourself in the market, how you want people to see you and how to project yourself in a market.I founded this company because, at the age of 22 and 3, between that time, I was on set, on a movie set.And, I saw the director go up to the CG, computer graphics guy in the department and ask them… could we… actually, I wanna do this… take the computer graphic image and do this… and, he hesitated, froze, and I thought, wow…

So, that stalled for an hour or so, but, ticking, tick tick tick, all that is money.And he called back to his headquarters, and asked for the allowance to say: They want to do this and that, so can we please…

After days of freezing, multimillion dollars was lost during that process.And at the time I was releasing a lot of music videos, I was doing a lot of concerts, and advertisement and movies, I wanted to enhance the visual effects myself, and I thought wow, this should be our realm.That?s our profession, why are we doing so poor in it? So then, if some of you may have read through my interviews, that I did sell my property, for a certain amount of money to invest in this business.I started off with 4-6 people, and I bought 1 or 2 second hand machines to start it off.And, luckily, I am here today.But, what message I wanna get through is, it seems like Nicholas Tse gambled everything away for the future.I didn?t.It is a gamble, but, before I bought those second hand machines, I actually calculated and talked to a few producers and we signed contracts for 3 movies, 2 advertisements, and 3 music videos so that we?d cover my one and a half years overhead, ahead of time.So if I was to fail, I somewhat had a safety net, that I won?t just kill myself because I sold my house, sold everything, what I have left.So I did have a bit of a safety net.I don?t want to give the wrong message out to the public that ?he just sold everything, so we can do that too.? Please do not.Alright, so, when I was saying, be honest to yourself if you want to be successful, because, some of us say we want to be successful but, we don?t wanna succeed more than we wanna sleep.We don?t wanna succeed more than we look cool，and go to the ….tonight

, we don?t want to succeed more than hanging out with friends，going to a cinema，you must be honest to yourself and find your automatic passion, so therefore, are you willing to sacrifice all these temptations to prevent you from practicing your art? I don?t believe the saying of practice makes perfect, to me, there is no perfection, there should always be room for improvement, practice to me, practice makes permanence, you will only have a much higher probability not to mess thing up, but there is no perfection.That?s to me.Any questions so far?

Q: So, really thanks for your brief introduction, and a warm welcome to today?s Asian leadership series again, so just before our conversation begin, would you prefer us to call you NIC or just Nicholas(yes…)so, ah, NIC, as we know that you have established a very successful company and we know, we have saw a sample work from Canon, we want to know what is the greatest challenge when you starting up your company? NIC: The greatest challenge really is to earn trust of clients at the age of 23,because it is a human natural instinct not to believe in someone 10 or 20 years, younger than you, and to establish that trust is a reputation, but that together, it takes time.And we started offer really miniture size work, and earned the trust of some directors and said, you know, are you guys ready go to the next level? I personally say yes, but then what I?ve learnt is that saying yes doesn?t mean anything, because no one wants to fall, and it is a cruel world out there.People will start blaming stuff, and say well, nic, he screwed it up, it?s not me.So, what I?ve done, what I change to these years, I don?t say yes any more, I go back and ask my team do you think do this ,and if so, why don?t we do a 30 seconds demo to shut their mouth , So the hardest part, the hardest challenge is to, I think for any business is to earn the trust.actually, mentioning that, I myself, I ,ever since I was little, I love Hong Kong action movies, I still do, I really do, it?s all my passion ,being honest to myself, I love action movies, and I am willing to put my life on the line, literally, if it takes, and to protect HK action.So 10 years ago ,I made myself a promise, that if I?m gonna be in this business, I wanna, I wanna be an action star, at least participate in one of Jack Cheng?s cool movies, or the Jet Li movies or the Donnie Yen movies.I will show you this, actually, it is more a present to my son, it is a 2 minutes video for his first birthday, some of my favourite stunts, please do not try this at home, because what you?re about to see for the next 2 minutes, I have been training for12 years, and a lot of luck is involved, that?s why I?m saying practice only makes permanence, because the more I do this in this chance, I will die.Jumping from 41st floor is not that wise, but I did that 19 times.Yea, and that was only one or 2 feet away from breaking my neck That?s the Convention Centre.It?s funny they say you can put these paddings on, but wherever you hit, it never hits the pad, it hits you.NIC: Now I tell you my son will not understand this message for another 20 years.Thank god I?m still here one piece, but that?s how far I?m willing to go for what I love.Of course, I?m not asking you to go jump off buildings.這段錄像我看過(guò)超過(guò)十遍（BOSS：真的嗎？）是呀！但每次看還是覺(jué)得好酷，非常的動(dòng)人心弦，你已經(jīng)找到了你所熱愛(ài)的，但對(duì)于我們學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō)，我們?cè)撛鯓訉ふ艺嬲裏釔?ài)的行業(yè)？

就像我說(shuō)的，誠(chéng)實(shí)的面對(duì)自己，我覺(jué)得沒(méi)人能真正替你回答這個(gè)問(wèn)題，那是你可以感覺(jué)得到的東西，你要依著它生存，嗅得到，感覺(jué)得到，觸摸得到，那是你的一切，就是你從不會(huì)覺(jué)得厭煩的事情，如果你在某件事上猶豫不決，還是再考慮一下（它不是你的真正熱愛(ài)的）吧。但是，我經(jīng)歷了很多嘗試和錯(cuò)誤才有今天，那是生活的一部分，只有經(jīng)歷了失敗，才開(kāi)始成長(zhǎng)，但生活就是充滿矛盾的哲學(xué)，當(dāng)我們12歲時(shí)，那么渴望18歲，那樣就可以出去玩，可以去爬山，我可以去點(diǎn)擊黃色網(wǎng)站了。但當(dāng)你們像我這么大的時(shí)候，我們反而失去了熱情，失去了狀態(tài)，速度，力氣等等，然后我們才學(xué)會(huì)珍惜這些東西，但是你最熱愛(ài)的東西是什么，問(wèn)問(wèn)你自己，我覺(jué)得沒(méi)有人能替你回答。

有些時(shí)候，我們找到了自己的夢(mèng)想，卻不能遵從，不能聽(tīng)從心中的意愿，因?yàn)椤ぁぁど鐣?huì)規(guī)則，或者父母的期盼，怎樣追尋夢(mèng)想并堅(jiān)持不懈，你能給我們些建議嗎？

我覺(jué)得沒(méi)有人可以······除非你的夢(mèng)想是有毀滅性的、會(huì)傷害到別人的，我覺(jué)得沒(méi)人能阻止你追逐夢(mèng)想，對(duì)吧？如果它是有毀滅性的，或者太不正常，都沒(méi)有問(wèn)題，我們又不會(huì)殺人，去告訴別人你的夢(mèng)想，我就是這么做的，我不僅僅是去跟導(dǎo)演說(shuō)：我想要拍動(dòng)作片。需要跳樓，然后我就接受了訓(xùn)練，然后我開(kāi)始嘗試訓(xùn)練協(xié)調(diào)性，武器的使用，提高身體素質(zhì)，這整件事，你要有付出，你想要證明他們錯(cuò)了，那就去證明他們的確錯(cuò)了。

NIC: like I said, I think be honest to yourself.So, I don?t think anyone can answer that question for you, it?s what you feel every day, you have to live with it, you have to smell it, you have to feel it, you have to touch it, it?s everything around you, something that never bores you, I guess, if you are hesitating for something, give it a second thought, but I?m here mainly to trial and error, and I guess that?s part of life，you only start losing things when you start growing, but that?s contradictive, philosophical part of life ,so like when we 12 ,we are so eager to be 18 and say that I am old enough to stay up, I am old enough to go clubbing, I am old enough to click the porn button, but ,but when you do get older, like I am now, we lose the standard, we stared losing a lot of reflexes, speed, power, all of that, then, we start treasuring stuff, but ,what you love the most, ask yourself, I don?t think anyone can really tell you that question ,or the answer.Q: well, but like sometimes if we find our own dream, we may not follow, like we cannot listen to our hearts ,because our social norms, or expectations from our parents, so what if I, can you give us students on really pursuing on your dream and stick to your mind.NIC: I don?t think anyone, unless your dream is something that is so destructive that you?re hurting someone else, I don?t think anybody would stop u from pursuing your dreams, right? if it?s something constructive, or something we don?t normal, I would say, it should be OK, you are not trying to kill someone, and ,and make a statement ,that?s what I did in my stunts, you know ,I didn?t just go about talking to the director saying, I wanna do action movies, someone jump off.I trained, and I start going little stunts, I started to train weapons, my fitness, the whole thing, it has to start from scratch, so you want to prove someone wrong, prove them wrong.Q: regarding this as Asian leadership series for you, we invite you to talk about your passion, your leadership experience, then what do you think is the one key leadership quality that you think is the most important to you to success? 我認(rèn)為最重要的領(lǐng)袖品質(zhì)是，有自知之明，把對(duì)的人放在對(duì)的位置上。在我創(chuàng)辦了這家公司后，很多人說(shuō)，他們問(wèn)我，很直接的：“關(guān)于后期制作你又懂些什么？”說(shuō)實(shí)話，如果你讓我坐在一個(gè)幾百萬(wàn)元的設(shè)備面前，讓我做事···我能做得想我的員工一樣嗎？我不行，我不會(huì)，會(huì)搞砸。但是···我不知道你們喜不喜歡足球，不過(guò)···舉個(gè)例，就說(shuō)說(shuō)昨晚切爾西和曼徹斯特的比賽，對(duì)吧？還是有很多人看了吧~曼徹斯特的主席，弗格森先生，他不會(huì)跑到球場(chǎng)上去踢角球、進(jìn)任意球或者救球，他只是把對(duì)的人放在對(duì)的位置上，如果魯尼進(jìn)了一個(gè)球，僅僅是魯尼的光榮嗎？難道不也是因?yàn)楦ジ裆阉旁诹藢?duì)的位置上，才使他有了機(jī)會(huì)進(jìn)球嗎？所以我認(rèn)為把對(duì)的人放在對(duì)的位置上，做對(duì)的工作，去鼓舞員工，去奉獻(xiàn)其中，去激勵(lì)員工，把這些結(jié)合在一起城誠(chéng)實(shí)的對(duì)待自己，工作還有員工，把這些結(jié)合在一起，就很好了。

創(chuàng)造性思維，因?yàn)樵谖覀冞@種行業(yè)，基本規(guī)則就是，每件作品都要是獨(dú)一無(wú)二的，我們不能重復(fù)。事實(shí)上我不是很喜歡那些既成的商業(yè)模式，因?yàn)閷?duì)我們這行很艱難，不管怎么樣···我們的工作不是像機(jī)器人那樣不停地生產(chǎn)來(lái)賺錢的，我們的工作要是獨(dú)一無(wú)二的，所以我們?cè)趯ふ覇T工時(shí)，我們需要的好是有創(chuàng)造性思維的，有激情的，有活力的人，要有圖像感的人，當(dāng)然還要有技術(shù)，也或許有天生的才能的人。

你的公司里有很多的員工，那你是怎樣去激發(fā)他們的創(chuàng)新思維的？

我們現(xiàn)在有超過(guò)130名員工，在開(kāi)了北京分公司后，人數(shù)還會(huì)增加。事實(shí)上，我去融入他們的日常生活，可能有些出乎意料，但是有時(shí)我真的會(huì)給他們做飯，給他們做甜點(diǎn)，你們可能會(huì)在報(bào)紙上讀到，我們還一起了趟很有趣的旅行，有那段視頻嗎？好。我增肥了。

看起來(lái)是非常歡樂(lè)的旅行，我們可以從短片中看出來(lái)，你和員工們有非常好的關(guān)系，我想知道你的經(jīng)營(yíng)理念是怎么樣的，你真的經(jīng)常和你的雇員們?nèi)ズＭ饴眯袉幔?/p>

是的我盡力的融入其中，像這樣的旅行讓我們的關(guān)系更緊密了，我不是僅僅花了幾百萬(wàn)供他們?nèi)ヂ糜?，“給，拿著吧，去玩吧”，你必須要成為其中的一員，你要從他們的視角來(lái)，去了解他們?cè)诮?jīng)歷些什么，在觸礁前，解決問(wèn)題，在產(chǎn)生沖突前，解決問(wèn)題，你會(huì)得到極大的尊重，大公司和小公司間的差別就在于此，如果你害怕···你的員工，工作只是為了避免被解雇，但如果你得到了尊重，你得到的不只是員工，更是一個(gè)團(tuán)隊(duì)，不只是一個(gè)團(tuán)隊(duì)，更是一支軍隊(duì)，他們會(huì)努力進(jìn)取，為你為公司奮斗，這就大公司和那些蒙混度日（的小企業(yè)）間的差距。

NIC: one of the most important leadership qualities, I think, is to know yourself, and to place the correct people in the correct position, you know, really, after I?ve started this company, a lot of people say, they ask me, right to the point, what the hell do you know about post production? And, to be honest, if you ask me to sit in front of a multimillion dollar machine, and ask me to … will I do as my staff, I will not.I will fail.I will crash.But, I don?t know how many of you follow football, but for example, let?s say, last night Chelsea and Manchester United play a game, see we?ve got people?s reactions now.The manager of Manchester United, MR.Ferguson, he is not going on the field doing corner kicks and free kicks and the taking ball, he is placing the correct people in the correct position, if Rooney scored a goal, is it purely Rooney?s glory that he scored the goal, or was it also because MR Ferguson placed him in the correct position, so he had the chance to be assisted then to score? So I think to place correct people in correct position to do their work, do the jobs, and to inspire, to dedicate, to motivate, all that together seam through your staff.Being honest to yourself, your work and your staff.All the things together, I think is good.Q: Speaking of your human resources, cooperation, we have about 350 students sitting here today, and they might just happens to be interested to applying for your company.(feel free, please, please, please)Just maybe!Just maybe!So, For qualities of your employees, what?s your specific qualities of your employees you?ll be looking for?

NIC: Creative thinking.Because in a business like ours, it?s imperative, that every job is unique, we cannot duplicate jobs.Actually I?m not quite happy with my business model because of that, because it makes very tough.We?re not in a job, where robots and machines, can just keep printing and make money of that product.Each job is unique.So when I look for people, in our staffs, I look for creative thinking, motivation, energy that they want to bring into the image, and of course, technique, and maybe some inward sense or talents.Q: You have many staffs in your company, so how do you encourage creative thinking in your company? NIC: We have over 130 staff now, and after opening Beijing we might raise the number a lot.I actually, I participate in their daily routine of their lives.It might surprise you, but actually sometimes I cook for them.I make them desserts.Some of you may have read on newspapers we just had just went on a pretty fancy vacation.Do you have the video here? Q: You?ve mentioned earlier that trust is important in your company, so how do you build trust with your employees among Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong.NIC: We have a…we actually take turns.We send some of our senior partners and our senior engineers up to mainland China, and we trained new people.Our business is actually very creative and human based business, whereas we need a lot of people.That?s whereas the next challenge for me lies, is to find people like you, who are young, who have potential to enhance better graphics.And have that motivation to say “I can take this up to the next level.” I think the whole business is…I think the whole world is asking for people like you right now.Steven Spielberg in 2011, last year, and now he?s decided he is gonna dump in 1.5 billion dollars into Shanghai, doing post production in dream works.To me, yes, that is scary, that is a big pressure, but I?m happy that…just to know that there?s such a high demand, so therefore…supply is also needed, so…

Q: Could you explain to us your vision statement of your company? NIC: We or I, myself, I hope to…I really hope to give something back to the society in terms of visualize since I?ve been in this entertainment business for over 14 years now.I want to give something back to what is being broadcasted and to…this is my time to but re-educate the next generation, my kids, to know what is a better quality, look at Korea, look at Japan.We are always following the footsteps of their images.I think it?s time for us, and that?s why we are here today for Asian leadership, to tell the western people that “hey, I can tell you right now, that if you want Nicholas Tse to do Titanic 3D, I can do it, just give me that time and give me that preparation.Post production alone cannot make a piece of blank paper into magic…We need the whole process of preproduction along with us to merge together, then we can…I?m pretty sure that we can achieve 3D Titanic.Don?t think that we can?t do it.We can.But ultimately…I?m looking for education.If there?s a kid like me, a random kid like me in Hong Kong, that wants to learn about animation or that likes to play video games.I?m sure a lot of you do.You have different angles and visions of things that people don?t have.So times that by the number of the population in the whole mainland China.Only if 1 percent of mainland China people wanted to learn animation or post production, that would mean 130 million students.How can we not do 3D Titanic, I?ll do 8D Titanic.Q: We?ve already talked about your vision, and we?ve also talked about how you build trust with your employees, how do you ensure that you share the vision from different offices in Shanghai, in Hong Kong, or in Beijing? NIC: Each year I gave annual speech to them, and so far I?m very very thankful to say that we have reached each year?s goal.We have moved from…Our office was in a basement, a building in Causeway Bay, last year before April 2nd.And after April 2nd we moved to a quite luxurious building right now in Cubus No.1, 5 storey building.But…what is means, each year we?re meeting our goals, and then two years ago, I announced that we are the first company to cross border with mainland China to have a sub branch in Shanghai and in Hong Kong.And we have achieved that goal.And within a year, I?m very proud to announce that we are going to open in Beijing, which is no other company, post company has done in the history of Hong Kong.So for the staff, I always tell them I?m not asking you to work for me, I?m asking you to work for yourself.And it is important to make them feel like that they are at home;they want to go to work, and they see their future.Not am I only getting the salary paid，Wow…This guy is actually… he?s making every promise come true.And for them, that is so important because they are not… everything is coming true, and they see further.And I think that is very important for everyone.在一間需要?jiǎng)?chuàng)意的工作室，我想，會(huì)不可避免地出現(xiàn)意見(jiàn)分歧，當(dāng)你面對(duì)這種情況，怎么處理這種不同的意見(jiàn)？

額~你懂的，后期制作是一種很被動(dòng)的···可悲的說(shuō)···非常被動(dòng)的行業(yè)，我想，在以前后期制作就是按照制品人、導(dǎo)演、和拍片人的意思做事，但是我們找到了改變局面的方式，轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)橹鲃?dòng)，我們?nèi)ズ蛯?dǎo)演商量“這是你想要達(dá)到的效果嗎？你想要什么樣的效果？為什么不換種方式試試呢？”現(xiàn)在我們更多的參與到前期制作中去，來(lái)確保我們得到質(zhì)量更高的資源進(jìn)行后期制作，這就是我們主要在做的事情。

不知道有沒(méi)有別的公司來(lái)挖員工呢？我猜你們這個(gè)行業(yè)在尋找人才方面競(jìng)爭(zhēng)很激烈吧？

是的，有過(guò)，大約五六年前，我們的一個(gè)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)對(duì)手，愿意支付5倍的薪水來(lái)挖走20個(gè)我的員工。說(shuō)實(shí)話，5倍呀，就算是我也會(huì)三思一下。但是，在20個(gè)人中，只有一個(gè)離開(kāi)了，不過(guò)我沒(méi)有這怪誰(shuí)，因?yàn)樗麄円欢ㄓ凶约旱睦碛?，但是，很驕傲地說(shuō)，我留住了19個(gè)，我也問(wèn)了為什么，我這樣說(shuō)：真的，你們?yōu)槭裁戳粝聛?lái)，為什么愿意留在我的公司？我付的工資也沒(méi)有比別人多。他們的回答很簡(jiǎn)單，我們?cè)谶@工作很快樂(lè)，這里就像一個(gè)家，我們帶著微笑上班。這件事讓我很吃驚。我了解到年輕的一代是怎樣衡量他們的人生價(jià)值，他們不僅想要高新，他們還需要尊重，愛(ài)和關(guān)心，感覺(jué)到這是我們的家。有一次，事實(shí)上我們準(zhǔn)備搬去新的寫字樓，我叫了暫停：“伙計(jì)們，我們今天休息，不工作?！彼麄冋f(shuō)：“那我們干什么呢？”我說(shuō)：“我們一起去找間新的工作室?！彼麄兒荏@訝，我們一大對(duì)人一起去逛遍了各種大廈。他們問(wèn)：“為什么讓我們一起去？”“因?yàn)槟銈儾攀敲刻熳谶@里工作8個(gè)小時(shí)的人，而不是我，我想讓你們有家的感覺(jué)，想讓你們?cè)缟闲褋?lái)時(shí)積極地說(shuō)：“我想要回去（公司），（把作品)改得更好?！薄边@些不起眼的小事的積累起一個(gè)良好的團(tuán)隊(duì)。

很有啟發(fā)性，生活中總有些不可避免的起起伏伏，你是怎樣保持樂(lè)觀的？

額~保持樂(lè)觀。我自認(rèn)為是個(gè)幸運(yùn)的人，我們都應(yīng)該這樣想，你們所擁有的一切都是幸運(yùn)的，我每天都會(huì)提醒自己這一點(diǎn)，至少在做了那么瘋狂的動(dòng)作后，還活著，我心懷感激，我就是每天這樣告訴自己的，就這么簡(jiǎn)單。

雖然我剛才說(shuō)了最后一個(gè)問(wèn)題，但其實(shí)還有一個(gè)。你提到了很多（領(lǐng)袖的）品質(zhì)，怎樣更具魅力，怎樣領(lǐng)導(dǎo)團(tuán)隊(duì)，怎樣讓他們喜歡你，或者你無(wú)意讓他們喜歡你，但他們還是這么喜歡你。你剛才講到會(huì)帶他們?nèi)ジ鞯刂惖?，但是一個(gè)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者必須具有的品質(zhì)是什么呢？

我想說(shuō)的還有就是樹(shù)立榜樣，你可以想說(shuō)什么就說(shuō)什么，我想講我做的動(dòng)作就講，但當(dāng)你置身于聚光燈下時(shí)，你如果不了解你的員工，我不管你說(shuō)了多少話，你可以滔滔不絕，但是你能跳下去（做實(shí)事）嗎？如果你為此訓(xùn)練過(guò)了，你可以，那對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)才是最終的考驗(yàn)，我們可是在做生意，我可能會(huì)賠錢，我會(huì)失業(yè)，但是在那兒（做動(dòng)作），如果我不知道自己的能力范圍，我可能會(huì)斷手、斷腳、丟掉性命。了解你的員工，就像我之前說(shuō)過(guò)的，實(shí)踐，是永恒的。

Q: Working in creative media industry, I suppose there could be some divergent opinions amongst your work.When you actually face such type of situation, how would you settle those disagreements? NIC: Uh, well, you know, Post production is really a passive, sadly to say very passive business.We…for the past maybe few hundred years, I think post production is to do what we are ordered to do, by the producers or the directors of people who shoot these commercials.But we have managed somewhat to turn it around, to take the initiative… to actually go to the meeting with the directors, and say, is this what you are trying to achieve or what are you trying to achieve, why don?t we go this way? So now we are participating more into the pre-production to ensure that we?ll get good quality out of the post production.That is mainly what we do.Q: Has there ever been a time when other companies try to steal employees from you? Since I guess, there could be some intense competition to get the right talents.NIC: Yes, there has been and I think it was about five or six years ago.One of our competitors was willing to pay five times the payroll for 20 of my staff to walk away from my company.I?ll tell you the truth, I mean, 5 times the payroll…I myself will think twice.But out of twenty people, only one left.I don?t blame anybody for leaving;they must have their own reasons.But I am very proud to say that we kept 19 of them.And I did ask why.I said so, really, you know, why are you staying.What is it that makes you stay in my company? I am not paying you any more than other people? And they replied simply that, “We are happy when we?re here, we feel like home.We know how to bring a smile to our work”.That actually shocked me quite a bit on how the new generation values their life today.Not only do they wish for a high salary, but they need to be respected, loved, cared for and feel this is our home.There was once when we were moving to our new company.I called on a vacation.I said, “Guys, stop today, we are not gonna work”.They said, “what are we gonna do? I said,” we are gonna go look for our new office together”.And they were actually quite shocked.And the whole army of us just, you know, we were strolling through all these buildings.And they asked why are we looking at this? Because you are the ones who are gonna be sitting here 8 hours per day, not me, I want you to feel like you are at home.I want you to wake up and feel motivated to say, I want go back.And fix that, I think I can do better.These little things accumulate to a better crew.Q: That?s really inspiring.So it is inevitable that there are ups and downs in our life.So how do you stay positive? NIC: Uh, stay positive.I consider myself very lucky.And we all should.All this you have right now is really a privilege.I remind myself that every day, the fact that I am just alive, you know those crazy stunts…I am thankful.I just keep reminding myself that every day, as simple as that.Q: As a final question to wrap up from us three.What is the most important message you want us to take from this Asian Leadership Series? NIC: Well, another one I would say is to…Set as an example, you can talk all you want, I can talk about stunts as I want, and when you are really put under the spotlight, and you don?t know your stuff.I don?t care how much you talk, you can talk forever, but can you make that jump? 我從來(lái)沒(méi)這么想過(guò)，有時(shí)候工作的確很累，但是只要我們熱愛(ài)自己所做的事情。就從不會(huì)想······絕不會(huì)有哪怕一秒鐘想要放棄。因?yàn)槲蚁嘈艈?，我有信心，可以看出這是個(gè)非常有前途的行業(yè)，中國(guó)去年成為了世界上第三大電影生產(chǎn)國(guó)，第一位是印度，第二是美國(guó)，第三就是中國(guó)。我們?nèi)ツ晟a(chǎn)了716部電影，相當(dāng)于每天就有兩部電影產(chǎn)生，每天有這么多時(shí)長(zhǎng)的電影在拍攝，那后期制作的需求量又有多大呢？這是個(gè)很有前途的行業(yè)，有這么多的前期制作，就需要這么多的后期制作，所以我從來(lái)沒(méi)懷疑過(guò)，我知道這個(gè)行業(yè)的潛力。

你提到了你的公司以前面臨過(guò)的挑戰(zhàn)，講講你公司的成就吧。

運(yùn)行得還不錯(cuò)啦，我不敢說(shuō)它有多厲害，還不能和我心中的理想比如說(shuō)夢(mèng)工廠、皮克斯相比，但是我們正朝哪個(gè)方向努力，我也知道如果沒(méi)人需要就不會(huì)有人開(kāi)設(shè)，我們正在努力。

Thank you~ NIC: Like I mentioned before that little crisis I saw on set with the movie things with the hesitation, with the post production, I was quite upset and ultimately I do want to give something back to the society and, say you know, I hope in the near future.Well a lot of times when I was trying to sell a concept or an idea for my own music video back to the time, I was always banned.I was always given the answer saying “You can?t do that.—-why? ——that?s too expensive and we don?t have the technology, we got to go the Hollywood for that.” I said “Really? Korea just did one quite similar.I don?t think they went to Hollywood for it” I was you know I was pissed off that we are relying so much on the western technology.We have, to be honest, even today we have exact same machinery that they do.It?s just the culture that is different.What?s the difference between Brazilian soccer and China soccer? We got the same balls, right? But it?s the culture that they live it, they breath it, you know each kid is… all they have is a soccer ball and they play it every day, like our badminton.It?s the same, I mean, it?s different in culture but I wanted to make a difference, I wanted to make a statement.Q3: Was there ever a time you wanted to… like you felt yourself drifting away from the business, like when your company was doing well and as a start-up I guess it?s very tough looking for projects and clients.And how do you take time off your acting work to, you know;spend time to your company? And was there ever a time you felt like giving up or just very tired of this whole thing? NIC: No, I have not.And I do feel tired sometimes as do my stuff, but as much as we love our jobs… No we have never thought that you know… there?s not a second that has slipped by my mind that I would give up this business, because I believe simply I believe and I see it?s a very logical business.China last year became the third most movie-productive country in the world, first being India, second being the States, third is China.We made 716 movies last year, that?s almost 2 movies per day, how much post production is needed.That much of hours of movies are made each day.It?s a very logical business if so much pre-production is made then there must be space for post-production and I don?t doubt at all.I see a great future in this business.Q4: Hi, Nicholas~ You have mention about the challenges your company had before, how about the great success of your company? 我······我喜歡這個(gè)問(wèn)題，很難······我那時(shí)很急躁，就像所有22、23歲的孩子那樣，做事很急躁，開(kāi)始的時(shí)候，我沒(méi)有一步具體地學(xué)習(xí)要怎么經(jīng)營(yíng)這行，我看過(guò)照片，但是實(shí)際工作的時(shí)候，我要去購(gòu)買非常昂貴的設(shè)備，我在買二手的顏色矯正器的時(shí)候，買到的是壞掉的，花了很多的錢，我們要去修好它，又要花很多錢，幸運(yùn)的是，我們熬過(guò)了這些難關(guān)，我的確犯過(guò)這種錯(cuò)誤，我讓那些信任或不信任我的客戶、員工失望了，覺(jué)得他們不會(huì)再信任我了，當(dāng)然那是個(gè)騙局，但作為領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，你只能怪自己而不是別人，我的確買過(guò)壞掉的設(shè)備，做過(guò)錯(cuò)事。

我們不該在任何國(guó)家間劃出界限，尤其是我們是一個(gè)國(guó)家。我們的原則都是一樣的，無(wú)論是在香港、大陸、美國(guó)、非洲，沒(méi)有區(qū)別，我的工作室是在紅方工業(yè)區(qū)，所以······

事實(shí)上，這之間聯(lián)系很密切，更像是······這也不是什么商業(yè)機(jī)密，有些人會(huì)問(wèn)，你個(gè)演員為什么突然開(kāi)后期制作公司，這聽(tīng)起來(lái)很荒謬嗎？好像是我從演員跨行到廚師嗎？不是的，如果你深入地想一想，這其實(shí)很有關(guān)系，如果我和導(dǎo)演、出品人之間有很多接觸的機(jī)會(huì)，互相信任，我可以說(shuō)：“看，我的公司可以做到，不如我參演你的下部片，我的公司來(lái)做后期？”這不就是雙贏的方法？所以我有計(jì)劃嗎？當(dāng)然有拍電影的計(jì)劃，而且我希望能攬入后期制作的部分，就像你們看到的，我們上個(gè)巨大成功就是—《桃姐》，我們很榮幸可以處理電影的色彩校正，盡管我并沒(méi)參演，但是，看，我們拿到了威尼斯獎(jiǎng)。

Q6:(XD)Hi, Nicholas~ I?m called Nicholas as well and I hope I will be as successful as you one day.So we all know about you glory and success.And I would like… I?m curious about what mistakes you have done before for you as a leader.And what have you done to rectify your mistake as a leader? Thank you~ NIC: I……(I like that question.It?s hard… LOL).I have a tendency of rush.As to all kids should, actually, maybe when they?re 22 or 23 right? We kind of rush into things, and when I first started this business, I did not go all the way to know it each and every part or department of how they run the business or I had the picture of it.But then it came to the part where, I had to buy really expensive machinery.When I was buying the second-hand piece of a colour corrector, actually I brought a broken piece of machine, and that cost us quite, pay a heavy price.The maintenance for that machine cost us a lot and luckily we were able to survive out of the crisis, but yes I did make these mistake and I failed a lot of clients and a lot of staff to trust me or not, whether or not to trust me anymore.Of course I was cheated also, but you know, you can never really blame anybody but yourself as a leader.Yes I did fail in buying a wrong piece of equipment.Yes, I did.Q7: Hi, Nicho~ Actually I?m from Shanghai and I?m wondering where is your office.LOL~ Actually I was wondering Is there any difference between starting a new business in Hongkong and especially like in mainland China.NIC: I don?t think we should draw a line between any country, especially that we?re as one now.If you hold on to the same principles, may it be Hong Kong, or mainland China, or the states, or Africa, I think it should be the same.And my office is in the 紅坊工業(yè)區(qū)，所以….(Q: is it very luxurious? Q8: Hello? Hello? Can you hear me? Hi, Nicholas.Do you have any short term or long term plan on your company or on your personal life? I remember that you are like action movies, are you still going for that? Do you have any plan in the future to have you own film shot?(MC: sorry this is irrelevant to entrepreneurship, so… N: That?s all right~ MC: Is it OK?)

NIC: Actually you know it?s kind of related, and although it?s kind of a… it?s not a business secret, but a lot of people think why did you all a sudden open a post-production company when you?re an actor.Does it sound that ridiculous? Am I jumping from acting to cooking? I am not.Actually if you think about it deeply it?s quite linked together if I have enough bargaining power and trust between the directors and the producers, to say look my company can handle this now.What about I participate in your next movie, and I do the post.Now, isn?t that a win-win situation? President: You know some of us who sitting here are a little bit older than most of the people here.And some of us grew up with movies related to your family.So, no, but I wasn?t gonna ask about that, I was gonna ask that there must be a lot of family pressure, you know, maybe implicit, to live up to the family fame.You know, maybe founding a new company, finding your own place, making your own name.I just wonder how …your view on this, how you live through this? Must be a lot of expectation that a lot of our students also feel.Before you say you have to find your own passion, a lot of our students also feel the pressure from our family.A lot of family expectation.So for you with the particular family you have with the fame, you must feel that ten times more than the typical student, I want to hear what?s your view on this?

NIC: Uhh, it is a good question, really, but I used to hate that shadow that overpowered Nicholas Tse, because I am the son of whom and whom, but I have learned maybe because I started working at the age of 15 or 16, and now did my parents do anything wrong? Since last September, the world economy has run into the most serious challenges ever since the Great Depression of the last century.Countries around the world have taken steps to cope with the severe impact of the global crisis.In the face of the crisis, the Chinese Government

made swift and decisive adjustments to its macroeconomic policies.We adopted a proactive fiscal policy and a moderately easy monetary policy, and put in place a package plan to ensure steady and relatively fast economic growth.These measures have proved essential for easing major problems in the economy, shoring up and stabilizing expectations.The most immediate and important goal of our package plan is to reverse the economic downturn and maintain steady and relatively fast growth.It is also designed to address structural problems constraining China's economic development, speed up the transformation of growth pattern and raise the quality and performance of factors of production in order to lay a more solid foundation for China's economic growth in the long run.一是全面擴(kuò)大內(nèi)需，增強(qiáng)消費(fèi)需求對(duì)經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)的拉動(dòng)力，推動(dòng)中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)均衡發(fā)展。這場(chǎng)百年一遇的國(guó)際金融危機(jī)對(duì)中國(guó)的沖擊，主要是外部需求的急劇收縮，導(dǎo)致經(jīng)濟(jì)減速、企業(yè)生產(chǎn)經(jīng)營(yíng)困難、失業(yè)增加，結(jié)構(gòu)性矛盾進(jìn)一步凸顯。我們把政策的著力點(diǎn)放在全面擴(kuò)大國(guó)內(nèi)需求上，努力保持投資較快增長(zhǎng)和刺激消費(fèi)，著力調(diào)整內(nèi)需外需結(jié)構(gòu)，加快形成內(nèi)需為主和積極利用外需共同拉動(dòng)經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)的格局，使中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)向更加均衡的發(fā)展方式轉(zhuǎn)變。

First, boost domestic demand in a way and strengthen the role of consumer demand in driving economic growth to promote balanced economic development.The major impact of this once-in-a-century financial crisis on China is the sharp drop in external demand, which in turn has led to economic slowdown, difficulties for businesses and rising unemployment.Structural problems have also become more evident.Our policies are primarily aimed at boosting domestic demand.We have been working hard to maintain relatively fast growth in investment, stimulate consumption, and readjust the structure of domestic and external demand.We will mainly rely on domestic and at the same time make full use of external demand so that together, they will drive our economic growth.This will lead to the transformation towards a more balanced growth pattern of the Chinese economy.二是全面加強(qiáng)基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施建設(shè)，推動(dòng)中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展。城鄉(xiāng)、區(qū)域發(fā)展不平衡，既是中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)發(fā)展中的突出矛盾，也是經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)的巨大潛力所在。我們把應(yīng)對(duì)國(guó)際金融危機(jī)和解決這些矛盾有機(jī)結(jié)合起來(lái)，在新增投資計(jì)劃中，重點(diǎn)加強(qiáng)農(nóng)村建設(shè)和中西部基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施建設(shè)。著眼于鞏固農(nóng)業(yè)基礎(chǔ)地位，加快農(nóng)田水利重大工程建設(shè)，增強(qiáng)農(nóng)業(yè)穩(wěn)定增產(chǎn)、農(nóng)民持續(xù)增收的能力。加快修建農(nóng)村道路，改造農(nóng)村電網(wǎng)，推進(jìn)農(nóng)村中小學(xué)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化建設(shè)，改善農(nóng)民生活條件。著眼于促進(jìn)生產(chǎn)要素跨區(qū)域流動(dòng)，加快重大交通基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施建設(shè)，完善綜合運(yùn)輸體系，特別是圍繞發(fā)揮中西部地區(qū)優(yōu)勢(shì)，建設(shè)煤運(yùn)通道、西部干線鐵路和機(jī)場(chǎng)。著眼于扶持落后地區(qū)，幫助困難群眾，積極支持保障性安居工程建設(shè)，重點(diǎn)解決城市低收入家庭、林區(qū)、墾區(qū)、煤礦等棚戶區(qū)居民的住房問(wèn)題，擴(kuò)大農(nóng)村危房改造試點(diǎn)范圍，實(shí)施少數(shù)民族地區(qū)游牧民定居工程等。這些措施的逐步落實(shí)，必將使發(fā)展的薄弱環(huán)節(jié)得到加強(qiáng)，使廣大中西部地區(qū)和農(nóng)村發(fā)展環(huán)境得以改善，對(duì)我國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展產(chǎn)生巨大推動(dòng)力。

很高興參加博鰲亞洲論壇２０１２年年會(huì)，與來(lái)自世界各國(guó)的朋友們見(jiàn)面。我們開(kāi)會(huì)的地方——博鰲，十多年前還是一個(gè)鮮為人知的小漁村，現(xiàn)在已成為可以共商亞洲發(fā)展之計(jì)的大平臺(tái)。博鰲是在中國(guó)和亞洲開(kāi)放發(fā)展中快速成長(zhǎng)起來(lái)的，它的開(kāi)放與變化表明了中國(guó)與亞洲、亞洲與世界的聯(lián)系日益密切?？梢哉f(shuō)，身在博鰲能夠“博覽天下”、“博采眾長(zhǎng)”，博鰲論壇是一個(gè)立足亞洲、面向世界、開(kāi)放包容的大平臺(tái)。論壇本次年會(huì)以變革的世界為背景，謀求亞洲健康與可持續(xù)發(fā)展，很有意義。在此，我謹(jǐn)代表中國(guó)政府，對(duì)年會(huì)的召開(kāi)表示熱烈祝賀！對(duì)各位遠(yuǎn)道而來(lái)的嘉賓表示誠(chéng)摯歡迎！

世界在關(guān)注亞洲，亞洲也在關(guān)注世界。當(dāng)今時(shí)代，國(guó)際形勢(shì)正在發(fā)生深刻復(fù)雜的調(diào)整和變化。我們看到，雖然全球經(jīng)濟(jì)顯露恢復(fù)的跡象，一些國(guó)家出現(xiàn)好的增長(zhǎng)兆頭，但國(guó)際金融危機(jī)深層次影響尚未消除，歐洲主權(quán)債務(wù)危機(jī)還在持續(xù)，實(shí)現(xiàn)世界經(jīng)濟(jì)全面復(fù)蘇仍然是一個(gè)長(zhǎng)期艱難曲折的過(guò)程。同時(shí)，世界經(jīng)濟(jì)結(jié)構(gòu)調(diào)整步伐加快，新一輪科技變革與產(chǎn)業(yè)創(chuàng)新正在孕育，經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化、區(qū)域一體化在曲折中推進(jìn)，國(guó)際政治經(jīng)濟(jì)秩序深刻調(diào)整，新興經(jīng)濟(jì)體的重要性日益顯現(xiàn)。

博鰲論壇誕生于亞洲金融危機(jī)之后。十多年來(lái)，亞洲國(guó)家在應(yīng)對(duì)風(fēng)險(xiǎn)中提高了自身免疫力，在調(diào)整變革中促進(jìn)了經(jīng)濟(jì)健康發(fā)展。這次國(guó)際金融危機(jī)中，亞洲經(jīng)濟(jì)率先復(fù)蘇，呈現(xiàn)出比較好的基本面。目前，亞洲經(jīng)濟(jì)總量已占世界的３０％以上，亞洲經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)對(duì)世界的貢獻(xiàn)率超過(guò)３０％。亞洲成為全球新興經(jīng)濟(jì)體最為集中的地區(qū)，后發(fā)優(yōu)勢(shì)和發(fā)展?jié)撃苓M(jìn)一步展現(xiàn)。

當(dāng)然，亞洲許多國(guó)家發(fā)展水平總體較低，區(qū)域內(nèi)各國(guó)發(fā)展差距仍然很大，資源環(huán)境制約日益加劇，地區(qū)安全穩(wěn)定存在挑戰(zhàn)，發(fā)展的道路并非平坦，成長(zhǎng)中的煩惱也不少。同時(shí)，一些國(guó)家和地區(qū)還面臨經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)下行、物價(jià)上漲、就業(yè)壓力加大等問(wèn)題。這些都需要認(rèn)真加以對(duì)待。

亞洲的發(fā)展，機(jī)遇和挑戰(zhàn)并存，希望和困難同在；但機(jī)遇多于挑戰(zhàn)，困難可以克服。回顧歷史，亞洲孕育了多個(gè)文明，創(chuàng)造過(guò)輝煌。近代以來(lái)，亞洲歷經(jīng)磨難和考驗(yàn)，在奮斗中不斷發(fā)展?，F(xiàn)在，亞洲已經(jīng)站在一個(gè)新的起點(diǎn)上，自強(qiáng)不息、開(kāi)拓進(jìn)取的亞洲人民正在攜手創(chuàng)造新的崛起，面向世界，走向未來(lái)，邁向現(xiàn)代化。在世界調(diào)整與變革的大勢(shì)下，我們?cè)概c亞洲各國(guó)一道，凝聚共識(shí)，攜手努力，應(yīng)對(duì)挑戰(zhàn)，戰(zhàn)勝困難，共同推動(dòng)亞洲健康與可持續(xù)發(fā)展。

一是立足內(nèi)生增長(zhǎng)。這是亞洲健康與可持續(xù)發(fā)展的獨(dú)特優(yōu)勢(shì)，也是亞洲開(kāi)放型經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展的新趨勢(shì)。亞洲人口約占全球的４５％，絕大多數(shù)國(guó)家是發(fā)展中國(guó)家，各國(guó)國(guó)內(nèi)和各國(guó)之間發(fā)展不平衡，內(nèi)需市場(chǎng)潛力巨大。亞洲還擁有世界上最多的勞動(dòng)人口，有最大的工程師與科研人員隊(duì)伍，人力資源優(yōu)勢(shì)明顯。在繼續(xù)發(fā)揮比較優(yōu)勢(shì)、參與全球競(jìng)爭(zhēng)的同時(shí)，著力開(kāi)拓內(nèi)需市場(chǎng)；在保持投資適度增長(zhǎng)、增加要素投入的同時(shí)，充分發(fā)揮消費(fèi)的作用，發(fā)揮科技進(jìn)步和勞動(dòng)者素質(zhì)提高的潛能，亞洲經(jīng)濟(jì)是能夠?qū)崿F(xiàn)強(qiáng)勁、可持續(xù)、平衡增長(zhǎng)的。

二是秉承開(kāi)放包容。這是亞洲健康與可持續(xù)發(fā)展的必然要求。過(guò)去亞洲經(jīng)濟(jì)的快速增長(zhǎng)是在開(kāi)放中實(shí)現(xiàn)的，今后亞洲進(jìn)一步發(fā)展仍需堅(jiān)持開(kāi)放，包括向世界開(kāi)放和各國(guó)相互開(kāi)放。實(shí)行開(kāi)放的地區(qū)政策，在開(kāi)放中相互促進(jìn)、取長(zhǎng)補(bǔ)短，對(duì)亞洲持久發(fā)展意義重大。各國(guó)應(yīng)增進(jìn)相互信任，加強(qiáng)學(xué)習(xí)借鑒，倡導(dǎo)包容性增長(zhǎng)，在重大國(guó)際和地區(qū)問(wèn)題上保持溝通協(xié)調(diào)，積極應(yīng)對(duì)氣候變化、糧食和能源資源安全等全球性挑戰(zhàn)，主動(dòng)參與全球治理結(jié)構(gòu)和國(guó)際金融體系調(diào)整改革。同時(shí)，我們歡迎地區(qū)外國(guó)家參與亞洲發(fā)展進(jìn)程并發(fā)揮建設(shè)性作用。這有利于促進(jìn)亞洲繁榮，有利于促進(jìn)新興經(jīng)濟(jì)體與發(fā)達(dá)經(jīng)濟(jì)體深化合作，有利于世界和平、穩(wěn)定和發(fā)展。參加本次年會(huì)的嘉賓有１/３來(lái)自歐美國(guó)家，這從一個(gè)側(cè)面反映了亞洲更加開(kāi)放。

三是實(shí)現(xiàn)互利共贏。這是亞洲健康與可持續(xù)發(fā)展的有效途徑。近年來(lái)，亞洲國(guó)家之間各種務(wù)實(shí)合作不斷加深，東南亞、中亞、東北亞、南亞等區(qū)域合作成果豐碩。目前，亞洲區(qū)域內(nèi)貿(mào)易占全部貿(mào)易的比重已超過(guò)５０％，彼此在合作中獲得了發(fā)展的紅利。新的形勢(shì)下，需要各國(guó)繼續(xù)加強(qiáng)磋商與合作，推動(dòng)全球貿(mào)易自由化、投資便利化，反對(duì)各種形式的保護(hù)主義，提升交通、通信、能源等基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施互聯(lián)互通和網(wǎng)絡(luò)化水平，深化區(qū)域及次區(qū)域合作，促進(jìn)亞洲和世界各國(guó)共同發(fā)展。開(kāi)放合作于人有利，于己有利，是互利共贏之路。

四是促進(jìn)團(tuán)結(jié)和諧。這是亞洲健康與可持續(xù)發(fā)展的有力保障。亞洲各國(guó)體制和模式多樣，民族和文化多元，團(tuán)結(jié)互助格外重要。建設(shè)一個(gè)和平、團(tuán)結(jié)、和諧的亞洲，需要繼續(xù)發(fā)揚(yáng)同舟共濟(jì)的精神，共同應(yīng)對(duì)金融危機(jī)沖擊和經(jīng)濟(jì)風(fēng)險(xiǎn)挑戰(zhàn)，共同克服重大自然災(zāi)害的影響，共同解決發(fā)展中遇到的階段性難題；需要在經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展中更加重視社會(huì)公平正義，更多幫助欠發(fā)達(dá)地區(qū)和困難群體，促進(jìn)各國(guó)人民共享發(fā)展的成果。

五是堅(jiān)持和平發(fā)展。這是亞洲健康與可持續(xù)發(fā)展的重要基石。亞洲之所以能夠取得今天的發(fā)展成就，很大程度上得益于長(zhǎng)期保持了總體和平穩(wěn)定的局面。在經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化和新的國(guó)際體系中，各國(guó)和亞洲的繁榮發(fā)展，應(yīng)當(dāng)也只能通過(guò)和平與合作來(lái)實(shí)現(xiàn)。從戰(zhàn)略高度考慮彼此關(guān)系，求同存異，尋求利益最大交匯點(diǎn)，是各方根本利益和長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)利益所在。無(wú)論是以往的遺留問(wèn)題，還是現(xiàn)實(shí)的分歧和爭(zhēng)端，只要有關(guān)各方從維護(hù)相互友好關(guān)系和發(fā)展大局出發(fā)，尊重歷史，遵循國(guó)際關(guān)系的基本準(zhǔn)則，是能夠通過(guò)對(duì)話協(xié)商與和平談判解決的。這是亞洲之福、世界之幸。

女士們、先生們！

中國(guó)是亞洲大家庭的一員，中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)與亞洲經(jīng)濟(jì)密不可分。中國(guó)堅(jiān)持走經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)全面協(xié)調(diào)可持續(xù)的科學(xué)發(fā)展之路，也將為亞洲健康與可持續(xù)發(fā)展貢獻(xiàn)力量。近年來(lái)，中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)繼續(xù)朝著宏觀調(diào)控的預(yù)期方向發(fā)展，實(shí)現(xiàn)了經(jīng)濟(jì)平穩(wěn)較快增長(zhǎng)和民生不斷改善。中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)的基本面是好的，發(fā)展的態(tài)勢(shì)沒(méi)有改變，有條件保持經(jīng)濟(jì)長(zhǎng)期平穩(wěn)較快發(fā)展。

我們也認(rèn)識(shí)到，中國(guó)仍然是世界上最大的發(fā)展中國(guó)家，發(fā)展中不平衡、不協(xié)調(diào)、不可持續(xù)問(wèn)題依然突出，一些結(jié)構(gòu)性矛盾凸顯，需要逐步解決。當(dāng)前，我們將按照推動(dòng)科學(xué)發(fā)展、加快轉(zhuǎn)變經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展方式的要求，把握穩(wěn)中求進(jìn)的總基調(diào)，既立足當(dāng)前，穩(wěn)增長(zhǎng)、控物價(jià)、促和諧；又著眼長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)，在調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu)、惠民生、抓改革等方面取得新進(jìn)展，繼續(xù)促進(jìn)中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)全面協(xié)調(diào)可持續(xù)發(fā)展。

繼續(xù)促進(jìn)中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)發(fā)展，加快轉(zhuǎn)型是關(guān)鍵。加快轉(zhuǎn)變經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展方式是中國(guó)“十二五”發(fā)展的主線，經(jīng)濟(jì)結(jié)構(gòu)戰(zhàn)略性調(diào)整是轉(zhuǎn)方式的主攻方向，擴(kuò)大內(nèi)需是結(jié)構(gòu)調(diào)整的首要任務(wù)，城鎮(zhèn)化是中國(guó)內(nèi)需最大的潛力所在。中國(guó)人口多，地域遼闊，正處于工業(yè)化、城鎮(zhèn)化持續(xù)發(fā)展的階段。去年城鎮(zhèn)人口比率剛剛超過(guò)５０％，每提高１個(gè)百分點(diǎn)就會(huì)有１０００多萬(wàn)人口從農(nóng)村轉(zhuǎn)入城鎮(zhèn)，能夠釋放巨大的消費(fèi)和投資需求。同時(shí)，提升工業(yè)發(fā)展水平，促進(jìn)服務(wù)業(yè)加快發(fā)展并提升其比重，可以為擴(kuò)大內(nèi)需、增加就業(yè)提供強(qiáng)有力的產(chǎn)業(yè)支撐；保障糧食安全、保護(hù)生態(tài)環(huán)境、發(fā)展現(xiàn)代農(nóng)業(yè)，可以為擴(kuò)大內(nèi)需奠定堅(jiān)實(shí)的物質(zhì)基礎(chǔ)?？傊瑓f(xié)調(diào)推進(jìn)工業(yè)化、城鎮(zhèn)化和農(nóng)業(yè)現(xiàn)代化，實(shí)行“三化”并舉，是中國(guó)現(xiàn)代化的必由路徑，也是轉(zhuǎn)方式、調(diào)結(jié)構(gòu)、擴(kuò)內(nèi)需的戰(zhàn)略舉措，可以助推中國(guó)在“十二五”期間乃至更長(zhǎng)時(shí)期保持經(jīng)濟(jì)適度較快增長(zhǎng)，不斷提高發(fā)展的質(zhì)量和效益。

繼續(xù)促進(jìn)中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)發(fā)展，改善民生是根本。我們加快轉(zhuǎn)型、調(diào)整結(jié)構(gòu)，根本目的是保障和改善民生。而保障和改善民生又有利于增加收入、刺激消費(fèi)、開(kāi)拓市場(chǎng)，發(fā)展經(jīng)濟(jì)與改善民生相輔相成，可以形成良性互動(dòng)。中國(guó)正在進(jìn)行的就業(yè)扶持、保障性安居工程建設(shè)、全民醫(yī)保等醫(yī)改重點(diǎn)工作的推進(jìn)、集中連片扶貧攻堅(jiān)等都是重大民生工程，也是重大發(fā)展工程。實(shí)施這些工程，致力于保障群眾基本生活，同時(shí)增加中低收入者收入，都是調(diào)節(jié)收入分配的重大措施。我們將著眼于提高人民生活水平和質(zhì)量，構(gòu)建社會(huì)保障的安全網(wǎng)，推進(jìn)基本公共服務(wù)均等化，鼓勵(lì)就業(yè)創(chuàng)業(yè)，努力實(shí)現(xiàn)居民收入增長(zhǎng)和經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展同步，提高居民消費(fèi)能力，擴(kuò)大國(guó)內(nèi)需求，使現(xiàn)代化建設(shè)不斷向前推進(jìn)，使全體人民共享成果、切實(shí)受益。

I am delighted to be here at the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2009.Let me begin by extending, on behalf of the Chinese Government, warm congratulations on the opening of the conference and a hearty welcome to all the guests present.This conference, with “Asia: Managing Beyond Crisis” as its theme, is a highly important one.It will contribute to our efforts to build consensus, strengthen confidence, deepen cooperation and overcome the crisis.I wish the conference a great success.2008年9月以來(lái)，世界經(jīng)濟(jì)遭受了上世紀(jì)大蕭條以來(lái)最為嚴(yán)峻的挑戰(zhàn)。各國(guó)紛紛采取措施，應(yīng)對(duì)國(guó)際金融危機(jī)的嚴(yán)重沖擊。中國(guó)政府及時(shí)果斷調(diào)整宏觀經(jīng)濟(jì)政策，實(shí)施積極的財(cái)政政策和適度寬松的貨幣政策，迅速出臺(tái)促進(jìn)經(jīng)濟(jì)平穩(wěn)較快發(fā)展的一攬子計(jì)劃，對(duì)緩解經(jīng)濟(jì)運(yùn)行中的突出矛盾、增強(qiáng)信心、穩(wěn)定預(yù)期，發(fā)揮了重要作用。這個(gè)一攬子計(jì)劃最直接、最重要的目標(biāo)，是扭轉(zhuǎn)經(jīng)濟(jì)增速下滑趨勢(shì)、保持經(jīng)濟(jì)平穩(wěn)較快增長(zhǎng)，并力求解決制約中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展的結(jié)構(gòu)性問(wèn)題，加快轉(zhuǎn)變發(fā)展方式，全面提升各種生產(chǎn)要素的質(zhì)量和水平，為中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)發(fā)展打下更加牢固的基礎(chǔ)。Since last September, the world economy has run into the most serious challenges ever since the Great Depression of the last century.Countries around the world have taken steps to cope with the severe impact of the global financial crisis.In the face of the crisis, the Chinese Government made swift and decisive adjustments to its macroeconomic policies.We adopted a proactive fiscal policy and a moderately easy monetary policy, and put in place a package plan to ensure steady and relatively fast economic growth.These measures have proved essential for easing major problems in the economy, shoring up confidence and stabilizing expectations.The most immediate and important goal of our package plan is to reverse the economic downturn and maintain steady and relatively fast growth.It is also designed to address structural problems constraining China's economic development, speed up the transformation of growth pattern and raise the quality and performance of factors of production in order to lay a more solid foundation for China's economic growth in the long run.一是全面擴(kuò)大內(nèi)需，增強(qiáng)消費(fèi)需求對(duì)經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)的拉動(dòng)力，推動(dòng)中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)均衡發(fā)展。這場(chǎng)百年一遇的國(guó)際金融危機(jī)對(duì)中國(guó)的沖擊，主要是外部需求的急劇收縮，導(dǎo)致經(jīng)濟(jì)減速、企業(yè)生產(chǎn)經(jīng)營(yíng)困難、失業(yè)增加，結(jié)構(gòu)性矛盾進(jìn)一步凸顯。我們把政策的著力點(diǎn)放在全面擴(kuò)大國(guó)內(nèi)需求上，努力保持投資較快增長(zhǎng)和刺激消費(fèi)，著力調(diào)整內(nèi)需外需結(jié)構(gòu)，加快形成內(nèi)需為主和積極利用外需共同拉動(dòng)經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)的格局，使中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)向更加均衡的發(fā)展方式轉(zhuǎn)變。

First, boost domestic demand in a comprehensive way and strengthen the role of consumer demand in driving economic growth to promote balanced economic development.The major impact of this once-in-a-century financial crisis on China is the sharp drop in external demand, which in turn has led to economic slowdown, difficulties for businesses and rising unemployment.Structural problems have also become more evident.Our policies are primarily aimed at boosting domestic demand.We have been working hard to maintain relatively fast growth in investment, stimulate consumption, and readjust the structure of domestic and external demand.We will mainly rely on domestic demand and at the same time make full use of external demand so that together, they will drive our economic growth.This will lead to the transformation towards a more balanced growth pattern of the Chinese economy.二是全面加強(qiáng)基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施建設(shè)，推動(dòng)中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展。城鄉(xiāng)、區(qū)域發(fā)展不平衡，既是中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)發(fā)展中的突出矛盾，也是經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)的巨大潛力所在。我們把應(yīng)對(duì)國(guó)際金融危機(jī)和解決這些矛盾有機(jī)結(jié)合起來(lái)，在新增投資計(jì)劃中，重點(diǎn)加強(qiáng)農(nóng)村建設(shè)和中西部基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施建設(shè)。著眼于鞏固農(nóng)業(yè)基礎(chǔ)地位，加快農(nóng)田水利重大工程建設(shè)，增強(qiáng)農(nóng)業(yè)穩(wěn)定增產(chǎn)、農(nóng)民持續(xù)增收的能力。加快修建農(nóng)村道路，改造農(nóng)村電網(wǎng)，推進(jìn)農(nóng)村中小學(xué)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化建設(shè)，改善農(nóng)民生活條件。著眼于促進(jìn)生產(chǎn)要素跨區(qū)域流動(dòng)，加快重大交通基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施建設(shè)，完善綜合運(yùn)輸體系，特別是圍繞發(fā)揮中西部地區(qū)優(yōu)勢(shì)，建設(shè)煤運(yùn)通道、西部干線鐵路和機(jī)場(chǎng)。著眼于扶持落后地區(qū)，幫助困難群眾，積極支持保障性安居工程建設(shè)，重點(diǎn)解決城市低收入家庭、林區(qū)、墾區(qū)、煤礦等棚戶區(qū)居民的住房問(wèn)題，擴(kuò)大農(nóng)村危房改造試點(diǎn)范圍，實(shí)施少數(shù)民族地區(qū)游牧民定居工程等。這些措施的逐步落實(shí)，必將使發(fā)展的薄弱環(huán)節(jié)得到加強(qiáng)，使廣大中西部地區(qū)和農(nóng)村發(fā)展環(huán)境得以改善，對(duì)我國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展產(chǎn)生巨大推動(dòng)力。

Second, improve infrastructure across the country and promote coordinated economic development.Uneven development between urban and rural areas and among regions is an acute problem in China's economic and social development, but it also means tremendous potential for further economic growth.We seek to address this problem in the course of tackling the global financial crisis.In our new investment program, priority will be given to rural development and infrastructure projects in central and western China.We will consolidate the position of agriculture as the foundation of the economy and speed up the construction of key projects for farmland improvement and water conservancy in order to create more enabling conditions for steady increase in agricultural production and farmers' income.We will pick up pace in building roads, upgrading power grids, promoting standardization in the construction of primary and secondary schools in rural areas, and improving farmers' living conditions.We will promote cross-region mobility of factors of production, speed up the development of major transportation infrastructure, and improve the integrated transportation system.It is particularly important to build coal transport routes, trunk railway lines and airports in western China so that the advantages of central and western China can be fully brought out.We will support less developed regions and help people in difficulties.We will vigorously support government-subsidized housing projects, with priorities on addressing housing difficulties of low-income urban families and families living in shantytowns in forests, on reclaimed land and around coal mines, expanding the pilot program for renovating dilapidated houses in rural areas and building permanent housing for the nomadic population in ethnic minority areas.The implementation of these measures will, over time, help strengthen weak links in development, improve the development environment for central and western regions and the rural areas, and give a strong boost to coordinated economic development of the country.三是全面提升產(chǎn)業(yè)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力和自主創(chuàng)新能力，推動(dòng)中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)可持續(xù)發(fā)展。推動(dòng)產(chǎn)業(yè)結(jié)構(gòu)優(yōu)化升級(jí)，是關(guān)系經(jīng)濟(jì)全局緊迫而重大的戰(zhàn)略任務(wù)。我們制定實(shí)施十大重點(diǎn)產(chǎn)業(yè)調(diào)整振興規(guī)劃，推動(dòng)企業(yè)兼并重組，積極支持企業(yè)加快技術(shù)改造，淘汰落后產(chǎn)能，發(fā)展先進(jìn)生產(chǎn)力，努力提高產(chǎn)業(yè)集中度和資源配置效率。我們加快實(shí)施國(guó)家中長(zhǎng)期科學(xué)和技術(shù)發(fā)展規(guī)劃綱要，選擇那些帶動(dòng)力強(qiáng)、影響面大、見(jiàn)效快的項(xiàng)目，集中力量攻關(guān)，突破一批核心技術(shù)和關(guān)鍵共性技術(shù)，為經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展提供科技支撐，推動(dòng)我國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)盡快走上創(chuàng)新驅(qū)動(dòng)的軌道。我們把投資的重點(diǎn)放在節(jié)能環(huán)保和生態(tài)建設(shè)上，加大對(duì)重點(diǎn)防護(hù)林和天然林資源保護(hù)工程、城鎮(zhèn)污水、垃圾處理設(shè)施、重點(diǎn)節(jié)能減排工程建設(shè)的投入，推動(dòng)中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)的可持續(xù)發(fā)展。

Third, enhance industries' competitiveness and capacity for independent innovation and promote sustainable economic development.To upgrade industrial structure is a pressing strategic task crucial to the overall economy.We have adopted plans for the restructuring and rejuvenation of ten key industries.They include measures to facilitate merger and reorganization of enterprises, support accelerated technological innovation by businesses, phase out backward production facilities, promote advanced productive forces, raise the level of industrial concentration and improve the efficiency of resources allocation.We are speeding up the implementation of the Outline of the National Program for Medium-and Long-Term Scientific and Technological Development with a special focus on those projects that will give a strong boost to scientific and technological advancement, have a widespread impact and yield quick results.We are endeavoring to make breakthroughs in a number of core technologies and key generic technologies in order to provide scientific and technological support for economic growth and make the Chinese economy an innovation-driven one.Energy conservation, environmental protection and ecological enhancement are the priority areas of our investment.We will increase input in the development of key forest shelterbelts and the protection of natural forests, urban sewage and garbage treatment facilities and major energy-conservation and pollution-reduction projects to promote sustainable development of the economy.四是全面提高人的素質(zhì)，推動(dòng)中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)集約發(fā)展。全面提高人的素質(zhì)是中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)的優(yōu)勢(shì)和活力源泉，是長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)發(fā)展的戰(zhàn)略重點(diǎn)。在實(shí)施擴(kuò)大內(nèi)需的計(jì)劃中，我們把公共資源配置向教育、醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生和社會(huì)保障領(lǐng)域傾斜。制定實(shí)施國(guó)家中長(zhǎng)期教育規(guī)劃，大幅度增加教育投入，加強(qiáng)基礎(chǔ)教育，發(fā)展職業(yè)教育，提高高等教育，增強(qiáng)全民族的文化素質(zhì)。我們積極推進(jìn)醫(yī)藥衛(wèi)生體制改革，建設(shè)基本醫(yī)療保障制度，建立國(guó)家基本藥物制度，健全基層醫(yī)療衛(wèi)生服務(wù)體系，推進(jìn)公立醫(yī)院改革試點(diǎn)，促進(jìn)基本公共衛(wèi)生服務(wù)逐步均等化。我們加快完善社會(huì)保障體系，擴(kuò)大社會(huì)保障覆蓋范圍，提高社會(huì)保障水平。我們千方百計(jì)擴(kuò)大就業(yè)，特別是大學(xué)生和農(nóng)民工就業(yè)。所有這些都有利于擴(kuò)大國(guó)內(nèi)即期需求，增強(qiáng)消費(fèi)者信心，同時(shí)也有力推動(dòng)經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)由主要依靠物質(zhì)資源消耗的粗放型增長(zhǎng)，向主要依靠科技進(jìn)步、勞動(dòng)者素質(zhì)提高、體制創(chuàng)新的集約型增長(zhǎng)轉(zhuǎn)變。

Fourth, work for all-round development of the people and promote intensive economic development.Human resources are an advantage and source of vitality in China's economic growth.It is a strategic priority in China's long-term development to achieve the all-round development of the people.In the course of boosting domestic demand, we have prioritized education, health care and social security in allocating public resources.We are in the process of formulating a National Medium-and Long-Term Program for Education.We will substantially increase input in education, strengthen basic education and develop vocational education, improve higher education and raise the cultural and educational level of the whole society.We are pressing ahead with medical and health care reform.We will put in place a basic medical care system and a basic drugs system, improve the community-level medical and health service system, push forward the pilot reforms in public hospitals, and promote equal access for all to basic public health services.We are improving the social safety net at a faster pace by expanding coverage of social security programs and increasing social security benefits.We are doing everything in our power to create jobs, especially for college graduates and rural migrant workers.All the aforementioned measures will help expand immediate domestic demand and bolster consumer confidence.They will also give a big push to the shift from extensive economic growth driven by high consumption of material resources to intensive growth driven by scientific and technological advancement, improved quality of the workforce and institutional innovation.總之，我們制定實(shí)施一攬子計(jì)劃，是標(biāo)本兼治、遠(yuǎn)近結(jié)合的，既是保增長(zhǎng)、保民生、保穩(wěn)定的應(yīng)急之舉，也是推動(dòng)中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)實(shí)現(xiàn)科學(xué)發(fā)展、和諧發(fā)展的長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)之策。我國(guó)正處在工業(yè)化和城鎮(zhèn)化快速推進(jìn)階段，蘊(yùn)藏著巨大需求和增長(zhǎng)潛力，有改革開(kāi)放30年建立的物質(zhì)、科技和體制基礎(chǔ)，有充裕的資金、豐富的勞動(dòng)力等要素支撐，有集中力量辦大事的制度優(yōu)勢(shì)、和諧安定的社會(huì)環(huán)境。只要我們不懈努力，在戰(zhàn)勝危機(jī)的同時(shí)，一定能夠使我國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展的體制性、結(jié)構(gòu)性矛盾明顯緩解，國(guó)民經(jīng)濟(jì)的整體素質(zhì)和競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力明顯提升。中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展的潛力必將進(jìn)一步釋放，在改善本國(guó)人民福祉的同時(shí)，為世界各國(guó)提供更多的貿(mào)易投資機(jī)會(huì)。

In a nutshell, the package plan we have introduced is aimed at addressing both symptoms and root causes and serving both current needs and long-term goals.It is an emergency-response plan to ensure economic growth, improve people's livelihood and maintain social stability.It also represents a long-term policy to promote scientific and harmonious development of the Chinese economy.China is experiencing accelerated industrialization and urbanization, a period with tremendous demand and growth potential.Thanks to 30 years of reform and opening-up, we have laid a sound material, scientific, technological and institutional foundation for development.We have sufficient capital and rich labor resources.We have institutional advantages that enable us to mobilize resources for big undertakings.And we enjoy a harmonious and stable social environment.I am convinced that so long as we persevere in our efforts, we will overcome the crisis and at the same time ease structural and institutional problems in the economic development, and enhance the overall efficiency and competitiveness of the economy.We will further unleash our economic potential to improve the well-being of the Chinese people and create more trade and investment opportunities for other countries.女士們，先生們，朋友們： Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Friends，中國(guó)實(shí)施的一攬子計(jì)劃已初見(jiàn)成效，經(jīng)濟(jì)運(yùn)行出現(xiàn)積極變化，形勢(shì)比預(yù)料的好。主要表現(xiàn)：一是投資增速加快，消費(fèi)較快增長(zhǎng)，國(guó)內(nèi)需求持續(xù)提高。一季度國(guó)內(nèi)生產(chǎn)總值增長(zhǎng)6.1％。全社會(huì)固定資產(chǎn)投資增長(zhǎng)28.8％，比去年同期和四季度分別提高4.2和6.4個(gè)百分點(diǎn)；城鎮(zhèn)新開(kāi)工項(xiàng)目計(jì)劃總投資增長(zhǎng) 87.7％。社會(huì)消費(fèi)品零售總額實(shí)際增長(zhǎng)15.9％，增幅同比提高3.6個(gè)百分點(diǎn)。在“家電下鄉(xiāng)”和小排量汽車減稅等政策帶動(dòng)下，家電、農(nóng)機(jī)等行業(yè)產(chǎn)銷大幅增長(zhǎng)，汽車銷售創(chuàng)歷史新高。商品房銷售面積增長(zhǎng)8.2％，初步扭轉(zhuǎn)一年多來(lái)的下降局面。二是工業(yè)生產(chǎn)逐步企穩(wěn)，農(nóng)業(yè)形勢(shì)總體穩(wěn)定。3月份，規(guī)模以上工業(yè)增加值同比增長(zhǎng)8.3％，增幅比前兩個(gè)月提高4.5個(gè)百分點(diǎn)；消費(fèi)品工業(yè)呈現(xiàn)回升態(tài)勢(shì)，裝備制造業(yè)和部分原材料工業(yè)出現(xiàn)轉(zhuǎn)機(jī)。強(qiáng)農(nóng)惠農(nóng)政策加快落實(shí)，產(chǎn)生積極效果。糧食播種面積增加，夏糧長(zhǎng)勢(shì)較好；農(nóng)資供應(yīng)充足，春耘備耕進(jìn)展順利。三是結(jié)構(gòu)調(diào)整積極推進(jìn)，區(qū)域發(fā)展協(xié)調(diào)性強(qiáng)，產(chǎn)業(yè)升級(jí)加快。中西部地區(qū)固定資產(chǎn)投資、工業(yè)增加值、社會(huì)消費(fèi)品零售總額增長(zhǎng)，都明顯高于全國(guó)平均水平。沿海地區(qū)工業(yè)總體增速雖然較低，但恢復(fù)加快。高新技術(shù)產(chǎn)業(yè)增勢(shì)較強(qiáng)，生物生化制品、通信交換設(shè)備、醫(yī)療設(shè)備及器械制造業(yè)等增速明顯超過(guò)工業(yè)平均增速。四是城鎮(zhèn)就業(yè)增加，居民收入提高。一季度城鎮(zhèn)新增就業(yè)268萬(wàn)人，城鎮(zhèn)居民人均可支配收入和農(nóng)民人均現(xiàn)金收入同比實(shí)際分別增長(zhǎng)11.2％和8.6％。五是銀行體系流動(dòng)性充裕，金融市場(chǎng)平穩(wěn)運(yùn)行，社會(huì)信心提振，市場(chǎng)預(yù)期改善。

China's package plan is already paying off, and positive changes have taken place in the economy.The situation is better than expected.First, investment growth is gaining speed, consumption is growing fairly fast, and domestic demand has been on the rise.The country's GDP grew by 6.1% in the first quarter of this year.Total fixed assets investment rose by 28.8%, up by 4.2 percentage points and 6.4 percentage points over the first and fourth quarters of last year respectively.Total planned investment in new urban construction projects jumped by 87.7%.Retail sales of consumer goods increased by 15.9% in real terms, registering a year-on-year growth of 3.6 percentage points.Thanks to the “Home Appliance to the Countryside Program” and lower taxes for small-engine cars, production and sales of household appliances and agro-machinery grew by a large margin and auto sales reached a record high.The total floor space of commercial housing sold expanded by 8.2%, a preliminary reversal of the year-long downward trend.Second, industrial output has gradually stabilized, and agricultural production is on the whole stable.In March, the added value of industries above a designated scale increased by 8.3% year-on-year, 4.5 percentage points higher than the previous two months.Consumer goods industry looked up, while equipment manufacturing and some raw material industries turned for the better.We have speeded up the implementation of the policies to strengthen agriculture and benefit farmers with good results.Grain acreage has increased and summer crops are growing well.With ample supply of agricultural means of production, preparations for spring plowing are well underway.Third, economic restructuring has made encouraging progress, regional development has become more coordinated and industrial upgrading is picking up speed.The fixed assets investment, industrial added value and total retail sales of consumer goods in central and western China are growing at a markedly higher pace than the national average.Though the overall growth rate of industries in the coastal areas remains low, these industries are nevertheless recovering at a faster speed.High-tech industries have registered robust growth.Manufacturing industries in biological and biochemical products, communication switch equipment, medical equipment and machinery are growing faster than the overall industrial growth of the country.Fourth, urban employment and people's income have risen.Figures of the first quarter show that 2.68 million jobs were created in urban areas, and per capita urban disposable income and per capita rural cash income grew by 11.2% and 8.6% year-on-year in real terms.Fifth, there is sufficient liquidity in the banking system and financial markets have been performing smoothly.Public confidence has become stronger and market expectations have improved.應(yīng)該看到，國(guó)際金融危機(jī)還在擴(kuò)散蔓延，世界經(jīng)濟(jì)衰退的基本態(tài)勢(shì)沒(méi)有改變，金融體系存在的問(wèn)題沒(méi)有解決，實(shí)體經(jīng)濟(jì)惡化超出預(yù)期，全球經(jīng)濟(jì)復(fù)蘇可能經(jīng)歷較長(zhǎng)和曲折的過(guò)程。受國(guó)際金融危機(jī)的影響，我國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)發(fā)展面臨的困難很大，主要是：外部需求持續(xù)萎縮，出口下降幅度較大；農(nóng)業(yè)穩(wěn)定生產(chǎn)、農(nóng)民持續(xù)增收難度加大；一些行業(yè)產(chǎn)能過(guò)剩，工業(yè)增長(zhǎng)回升乏力，經(jīng)濟(jì)效益繼續(xù)下滑，財(cái)政收入減少，就業(yè)形勢(shì)十分嚴(yán)峻。

We should not, however, lose sight of the fact that the international financial crisis is still spreading, the basic trend of world economic recession is not reversed, problems in the financial system remain unresolved and the worsening of the real economy has been more serious than expected.The global economic recovery may be a long and tortuous process.The international financial crisis has presented China with great challenges in economic and social development, including a sharp decline in exports due to continuous contraction of external demand, greater difficulties in stabilizing agricultural production and increasing farmers' income, overcapacity in some industries, slow recovery in industrial growth, continued drop of economic returns, reduction in fiscal revenue and severe pressure of employment.在錯(cuò)綜復(fù)雜的國(guó)內(nèi)外形勢(shì)下，我們既要看到經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)發(fā)展的有利條件和積極因素，堅(jiān)定戰(zhàn)勝困難的決心和信心；又要充分估計(jì)形勢(shì)的不確定性、不穩(wěn)定性，保持清醒頭腦，增強(qiáng)憂患意識(shí)，寧可把形勢(shì)估計(jì)得嚴(yán)峻一些，把困難考慮得充分一些，做好應(yīng)對(duì)更大困難的長(zhǎng)期準(zhǔn)備。我們要堅(jiān)定不移地貫徹執(zhí)行積極的財(cái)政政策和適度寬松的貨幣政策，毫不放松地全面實(shí)施應(yīng)對(duì)危機(jī)的一攬子計(jì)劃，努力把金融危機(jī)的影響降到最低限度，促進(jìn)中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)平穩(wěn)較快發(fā)展。Confronted with the complicated domestic and international situation, we should recognize the favorable conditions and positive factors in economic and social development, and strengthen our resolve and confidence in overcoming difficulties.On the other hand, we should be fully mindful of the uncertainties and instabilities of the situation, remain level-headed and be more vigilant against possible adversity in the future.It is advisable to have a more sober assessment of the situation and take into consideration all possible difficulties that we may encounter.This way, we can better prepare ourselves for greater and protracted challenges.We will resolutely enforce the proactive fiscal policy and the moderately easy monetary policy, spare no effort to implement our package plan, strive to minimize the impact of the financial crisis and promote steady and relatively fast growth of the Chinese economy.女士們，先生們，朋友們： Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Friends，在經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化條件下，世界各國(guó)的命運(yùn)已緊緊聯(lián)系在一起，沒(méi)有一個(gè)國(guó)家可以在國(guó)際金融危機(jī)中獨(dú)善其身，沒(méi)有一個(gè)國(guó)家能夠以一己之力戰(zhàn)勝這場(chǎng)危機(jī)。亞洲是全球經(jīng)濟(jì)最具活力和潛力的地區(qū)之一。人口約占全球總?cè)丝诘?0％，經(jīng)濟(jì)總量、貿(mào)易總額約占全球的1／4和1／3。雖然各國(guó)國(guó)情不同，但維護(hù)國(guó)家主權(quán)、加快經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展、弘揚(yáng)公平正義、增進(jìn)國(guó)民福祉的目標(biāo)是相同的；應(yīng)對(duì)國(guó)際金融危機(jī)，打擊恐怖主義和跨國(guó)犯罪，遏制疫病蔓延、環(huán)境惡化等方面面臨的挑戰(zhàn)是相似的；深化雙邊多邊合作、實(shí)現(xiàn)互利共贏的意愿是一致的。目前亞洲地區(qū)各種合作機(jī)制相繼建立并取得積極成效，經(jīng)濟(jì)、科技、人文等領(lǐng)域交流與合作不斷深化，合作的基礎(chǔ)日益牢固。有效應(yīng)對(duì)這場(chǎng)金融危機(jī)，亞洲各國(guó)不僅要把本國(guó)的事情辦好，而且要進(jìn)一步加強(qiáng)合作，攜手努力，同舟共濟(jì)，推動(dòng)亞洲共贏發(fā)展，成為世界經(jīng)濟(jì)復(fù)蘇的重要引擎。Economic globalization has linked us closely together.No country can stay immune from the international financial crisis or overcome its impact on one's own.Asia is one of the most dynamic and promising regions in the world economy.Together, we take up 60% of the world's population, a quarter of the global economy and a third of global trade.Countries in this region have different national conditions, but we share the common goal of safeguarding sovereignty, accelerating economic growth, upholding equity and justice, and improving people's livelihood.We face similar challenges in tackling the international financial crisis, fighting terrorism and transnational crimes and curbing the spread of diseases and environmental degradation.And we have the same commitment to bilateral and multilateral cooperation for mutual benefit and win-win progress.We have put in place a variety of regional cooperation mechanisms, which have carried out effective work.Exchanges and cooperation among us in economy, science and technology, culture and other fields are deepening and the foundation of our cooperation is getting stronger.To counter the financial crisis, Asian countries should not only each run their own affairs well, but also step up cooperation and pull together like passengers in the same boat to promote win-win development and make Asia a key engine in reigniting world economic growth.中國(guó)是亞洲合作的積極參與者與建設(shè)者，堅(jiān)定不移地奉行與鄰為善、以鄰為伴的周邊外交方針和睦鄰、安鄰、富鄰的周邊外交政策。特別是近些年來(lái)，我們與亞洲多個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)簽署了雙多邊自貿(mào)協(xié)定，推進(jìn)了貿(mào)易和投資的發(fā)展。我們還與一些國(guó)家和地區(qū)簽署了6份總額為235億美元雙邊貨幣互換協(xié)議，6 份總額為6500億元人民幣的雙邊本幣貨幣互換協(xié)議，豐富了區(qū)域金融合作的內(nèi)容和形式，增強(qiáng)了地區(qū)資金救助機(jī)制的作用。擁有19億人口、GDP近6萬(wàn)億美元的中國(guó)－東盟自貿(mào)區(qū)將于2010年全面建成。我很高興地看到，2003年10月我在第七次東盟與中日韓領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人會(huì)議上提出的“推動(dòng)清邁倡議多邊化”的設(shè)想，正在成為區(qū)域財(cái)金合作的重點(diǎn)，已經(jīng)邁出實(shí)質(zhì)性步伐。

China has taken an active part in building Asian cooperation.We follow a policy of making friends and partners in the surrounding areas and fostering an amicable, stable and prosperous neighborhood.In recent years in particular, we have concluded several bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements with other countries and regions in Asia, which have served to promote trade and investment.We have signed six bilateral currency swap agreements totaling US$23.5 billion and six bilateral currency swap agreements in local currencies worth RMB650 billion.These arrangements have enriched the content and form of regional financial cooperation and strengthened the role of regional liquidity assistance mechanisms.A China-ASEAN free trade area with a combined population of 1.9 billion and an aggregate GDP of nearly US$6 trillion will be fully established by 2010.In October 2003, I made a proposal at the 7th ASEAN plus China, Japan and the ROK Summit to advance the Chiang Mai Initiative Multilateralization.I am very pleased to see that this is now becoming a priority in regional financial cooperation and substantive steps have been taken in this regard.面對(duì)國(guó)際金融危機(jī)肆虐，中國(guó)愿意繼續(xù)同亞洲國(guó)家一道，積極應(yīng)對(duì)挑戰(zhàn)，全面加強(qiáng)合作，使各領(lǐng)域合作更加充實(shí)和富有活力，促進(jìn)地區(qū)和平與繁榮。為此，我提出如下主張： In the face of the spreading financial crisis, China will continue to work with other Asian countries to actively tackle challenges and advance all-round cooperation with a view to enriching and energizing our cooperation and promoting peace and prosperity in the region.To achieve this, I wish to propose the following:

一是密切經(jīng)貿(mào)合作，堅(jiān)決反對(duì)貿(mào)易保護(hù)主義。更加重視促進(jìn)自由貿(mào)易，擴(kuò)大區(qū)內(nèi)貿(mào)易規(guī)模。在海關(guān)、檢驗(yàn)檢疫、物流和商務(wù)人員流動(dòng)等方面采取有效措施，以實(shí)際行動(dòng)降低貿(mào)易壁壘，避免設(shè)置新的貿(mào)易障礙。積極推進(jìn)自由貿(mào)易區(qū)建設(shè)，充分利用多雙邊自由貿(mào)易安排，發(fā)揮各國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)互補(bǔ)優(yōu)勢(shì)。中國(guó)決定在上海市和廣東省4 個(gè)城市開(kāi)展跨境貿(mào)易人民幣結(jié)算試點(diǎn)，這一舉措對(duì)促進(jìn)與周邊國(guó)家和地區(qū)的經(jīng)貿(mào)關(guān)系必將產(chǎn)生積極作用。

First, engage in closer economic cooperation and trade, and firmly oppose trade protectionism.We should make greater efforts to promote free trade and expand intra-regional trade.We should adopt effective measures concerning customs, quarantine, logistics and interflow of business people, take concrete steps to lower trade barriers and refrain from setting up new obstacles to trade.We should vigorously advance the building of free trade areas, make full use of multilateral and bilateral free trade arrangements and bring into play our economic complementarities.The Chinese Government has decided to introduce a pilot program of using RMB in the settlement of cross-border trade in Shanghai and four cities in Guangdong province.This will boost our economic cooperation and trade with neighboring countries and regions.二是加強(qiáng)財(cái)金合作，努力維護(hù)區(qū)域金融穩(wěn)定。充分發(fā)揮雙邊貨幣互換協(xié)議作用，研究擴(kuò)大互換額度和簽約國(guó)范圍。去年10＋3國(guó)家決定建立800 億美元外匯儲(chǔ)備庫(kù)，最近又將其規(guī)模擴(kuò)大到1200億美元，顯示了本地區(qū)加強(qiáng)金融合作的迫切需要和強(qiáng)烈意愿。希望加快清邁倡議多邊化進(jìn)程，最大限度照顧彼此關(guān)切，盡早達(dá)成共識(shí)，建成區(qū)域外匯儲(chǔ)備庫(kù)，增強(qiáng)本地區(qū)抵御金融風(fēng)險(xiǎn)能力。推進(jìn)亞洲債券市場(chǎng)建設(shè)，更好地利用區(qū)內(nèi)資金，促進(jìn)亞洲經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展。Second, strengthen financial cooperation and maintain regional financial stability.We should take full advantage of the bilateral currency swap agreements and study the possibility of expanding the swap size and number of participating countries.The 10+3 countries decided to set up a US$80 billion foreign exchange reserve pool last year and recently agreed to expand it to US$120 billion.This underlines the urgent need and our strong desire to strengthen regional financial cooperation.We hope the multilateralization process of the Chiang Mai Initiative will speed up.We should accommodate each other's concerns to the greatest extent possible, build consensus and establish a regional reserve pool as early as possible so as to better protect our region from financial risks.We should promote development of the Asian Bond Market and better utilize available regional funds to promote economic growth in Asia.三是深化投資合作，發(fā)揮投資在區(qū)域經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)中的拉動(dòng)作用。加快區(qū)域和次區(qū)域交通、電力、通訊領(lǐng)域建設(shè)步伐，逐步實(shí)現(xiàn)基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施的互聯(lián)互通和網(wǎng)絡(luò)化。中國(guó)決定設(shè)立總規(guī)模為100億美元的“中國(guó)－東盟投資合作基金”，支持區(qū)域基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施建設(shè)。各國(guó)擴(kuò)大投資都要秉承開(kāi)放精神，允許其他國(guó)家企業(yè)公平參與。鼓勵(lì)各國(guó)企業(yè)在區(qū)域內(nèi)相互投資，加強(qiáng)勞務(wù)合作，避免大規(guī)模遣返外國(guó)勞工。

Third, deepen investment cooperation to drive regional economic growth.We should accelerate the development of regional and sub-regional transportation, power and communication infrastructure to gradually achieve interconnectivity and form a network.China has decided to set up a US$10 billion “China-ASEAN Fund on Investment Cooperation” to support infrastructural development in the region.All countries should follow an open approach when expanding investment and allow equal participation of enterprises from other countries.We should encourage mutual investment among businesses within the region, strengthen labor services cooperation and avoid large-scale repatriation of foreign workers.四是推動(dòng)“綠色”合作，促進(jìn)亞洲經(jīng)濟(jì)可持續(xù)發(fā)展。積極有效地協(xié)調(diào)政策和行動(dòng)，加強(qiáng)亞洲國(guó)家在節(jié)能環(huán)保、開(kāi)發(fā)利用新能源和可再生能源等領(lǐng)域的合作，培育亞洲經(jīng)濟(jì)新的增長(zhǎng)點(diǎn)。堅(jiān)持“共同但有區(qū)別的責(zé)任”和公平原則，在《聯(lián)合國(guó)氣候變化框架公約》下，深化對(duì)話與交流，積極開(kāi)展務(wù)實(shí)合作，為全球應(yīng)對(duì)氣候變化做出力所能及的貢獻(xiàn)。Fourth, advance “green” cooperation and promote sustainable economic growth in Asia.We should actively and effectively coordinate policies and actions to enhance cooperation in energy conservation, environmental protection and development and utilization of new and renewable energies, and foster new growth areas in the Asian economy.We should adhere to the principles of “common but differentiated responsibilities” and equity, intensify dialogue and exchanges and pursue practical cooperation in the context of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change so as to contribute our share to the global endeavor to fight climate change.五是加強(qiáng)在國(guó)際事務(wù)中的配合與協(xié)調(diào)，促進(jìn)世界和平穩(wěn)定繁榮。通過(guò)APEC、亞歐會(huì)議和東亞－拉美合作論壇、亞洲－中東對(duì)話等平臺(tái)，加強(qiáng)與其他地區(qū)的合作，提高合作效率和質(zhì)量。落實(shí)二十國(guó)集團(tuán)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人倫敦金融峰會(huì)共識(shí)，加強(qiáng)宏觀經(jīng)濟(jì)政策協(xié)調(diào)；推進(jìn)國(guó)際金融體系改革，提高新興市場(chǎng)和發(fā)展中國(guó)家的代表性和發(fā)言權(quán)，加強(qiáng)對(duì)主要儲(chǔ)備貨幣發(fā)行經(jīng)濟(jì)體宏觀經(jīng)濟(jì)政策的監(jiān)督，推進(jìn)多元化國(guó)際貨幣體系建設(shè)；推動(dòng)多哈回合談判取得全面、平衡的結(jié)果，特別要加強(qiáng)對(duì)發(fā)展中國(guó)家的貿(mào)易支持；認(rèn)真落實(shí)聯(lián)合國(guó)千年發(fā)展目標(biāo)，推進(jìn)國(guó)際減貧進(jìn)程，避免因金融危機(jī)減少對(duì)發(fā)展中國(guó)家的援助。

Fifth, enhance collaboration and coordination in international affairs and promote world peace, stability and prosperity.We in Asia should strengthen cooperation with other regions through such platforms as Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC), Asia-Europe Meeting(ASEM), Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation(FEALAC)and Asia-Middle East Dialogue(AMED), and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of such cooperation.We should implement the consensus reached at the G20 Financial Summit in London and strengthen macroeconomic policy coordination.We should advance reform of the international financial system, increase the representation and voice of emerging markets and developing countries, strengthen surveillance of the macroeconomic policies of major reserve currency issuing economies, and develop a more diversified international monetary system.We should work for comprehensive and balanced outcomes in the Doha Round negotiations and give, in particular, more trade support to developing countries.We should work earnestly to meet the UN Millennium Development Goals, push forward the global poverty reduction process, and prevent a cutback in the assistance to developing countries as a result of the financial crisis.這里，我還想強(qiáng)調(diào)一點(diǎn)，工商界要在應(yīng)對(duì)國(guó)際金融危機(jī)、促進(jìn)亞洲地區(qū)發(fā)展方面發(fā)揮積極作用。企業(yè)家要注重社會(huì)責(zé)任，妥善處理各種風(fēng)險(xiǎn)和隱患，要善于把握世界經(jīng)濟(jì)調(diào)整時(shí)機(jī)，不斷開(kāi)拓創(chuàng)新，尋找新的發(fā)展機(jī)遇。亞洲發(fā)展?jié)摿薮螅瑓^(qū)內(nèi)各類企業(yè)特別是跨國(guó)企業(yè)，只要堅(jiān)守在這塊土地上，盡量少關(guān)閉工廠、少裁員，加強(qiáng)各國(guó)企業(yè)在生產(chǎn)經(jīng)營(yíng)、技術(shù)研發(fā)等方面合作，一定能夠在應(yīng)對(duì)危機(jī)中實(shí)現(xiàn)新的跨越。

Vice Chancellor R?sler has just delivered a warm address.He mentioned the German government’s official reply to the Commission this morning, in which Germany voiced its opposition to the launch of anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations against Chinese wireless telecommunication equipment.Germany could have replied three days ago.Yet it did not do so until this morning in order to hear the position of the Chinese government.This is a common position between our two countries, which I highly appreciate.The AD&CVD investigations launched by the European Union against Chinese photovoltaic products and wireless telecommunication equipment will cause severe adverse impact on Chinese industries, businesses and employment and hurt European consumers, companies and employment.China hopes to work with the EU to fight against trade protectionism, oppose the abuse of trade remedies and address trade frictions through dialogue and consultation.The world economy is slowly recovering.Europe still faces challenges in overcoming its own difficulties, and China is undergoing economic adjustment.Against this backdrop, opposing trade protectionism is crucial to overcoming these difficulties and meeting challenges.勒斯勒爾副總理在致辭中還希望中國(guó)企業(yè)更多到德國(guó)投資。我可以告訴大家，與中德雙邊貿(mào)易額、德國(guó)企業(yè)對(duì)華投資相比，中國(guó)企業(yè)對(duì)德投資相對(duì)較少，我們將鼓勵(lì)更多有實(shí)力的中國(guó)企業(yè)到德國(guó)投資。今天上午我會(huì)見(jiàn)了在德中國(guó)商會(huì)負(fù)責(zé)人，設(shè)立這個(gè)商會(huì)有助于中國(guó)企業(yè)更多地投資德國(guó)。羅旭德主席也希望中國(guó)進(jìn)一步擴(kuò)大開(kāi)放。我此行就是為開(kāi)放而來(lái)、為合作而來(lái)，特別是為擴(kuò)大對(duì)德對(duì)歐的開(kāi)放與合作而來(lái)。

During my visit, I have had cordial and friendly meetings with German leaders.I had meeting lasting seven hours with Chancellor Merkel and we reached new agreement on boosting China-Germany strategic partnership.I also had a dialogue with German business leaders.China and Germany will continue governmental consultation and annual meeting between heads of government, and make more progress in several dozen mechanisms on cooperation.I have just met with representatives of the China Advisory Council, whose chairman and vice chairmen are heads of well-established and influential financial and industrial corporations of both countries.The founding of this Council not only shows the importance both governments attach to bilateral business relations, but also opens a new channel for conducting business cooperation.This is the first council of its kind set up between China and Germany, an EU country and a major global economy, and it has become a second track for boosting China-Germany business relations.A train can only run fast on two tracks.When governments and businesses work together, both tracks will be able to play their roles and both wheels will turn.In short, China-Germany relations, driven by a powerful hybrid engine, are speeding up along the fast track.女士們，先生們！Ladies and Gentlemen, 在座的朋友們都十分關(guān)心中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)形勢(shì)和前景，我愿在這里作簡(jiǎn)要介紹。Since you are quite interested in the Chinese economy and its growth prospect, I will give you a brief update on them.中國(guó)始終堅(jiān)持走和平發(fā)展道路，正朝著建設(shè)富強(qiáng)民主文明和諧的社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化國(guó)家、實(shí)現(xiàn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興的中國(guó)夢(mèng)而不懈努力。到2020年要全面建成小康社會(huì)，就必須堅(jiān)定不移地推進(jìn)改革開(kāi)放，推進(jìn)工業(yè)化、信息化、城鎮(zhèn)化和農(nóng)業(yè)現(xiàn)代化同步發(fā)展?！靶滤幕币矊榈聡?guó)和歐洲對(duì)華合作提供巨大的空間。

China’s total economic output is increasing, and it has maintained a proper rate of growth.Its GDP grew by 7.7% during the first quarter, higher than the 7.5% annual target set at the beginning of the year.At the same time, 4.32 million new jobs were created in urban areas, slightly more than the same period last year.To achieve the goal of doubling China’s GDP and per capita income of 2012 by 2020, we need to maintain an annual growth rate of around 7%.This is not easy for such a large economy as China’s.But we have the condition and the ability to meet this goal.We also need to redouble our efforts.China is a big country with 1.3 billion people, and its accelerating industrialization and urbanization drive will unleash huge development potential.With a per capita GDP of 6,000 US dollars, China has reached the level of a middle income country and there is huge space for upgrading consumption.China’s reform will generate huge dividends, which will further boost market vitality and the internal growth momentum of the economy.China’s economy has reached 52 trillion yuan in size.Each 7.5% growth means an increase of 3.9 trillion yuan in GDP, which is much bigger in size than in the past.We need to maintain sustained, stable and sound growth of China’s economy.The market will thus have a clear and long-term expectation of China’s economic trend.
