坂田新城學校是龍崗推進教育事業(yè)均衡發(fā)展，解決坂田片區(qū)上學難問題的重點民心工程。學校開辦于2010年9月，規(guī)劃54個教學班，可提供近2700個學位，是目前布吉坂田片區(qū)規(guī)模最大的一所九年一貫制學?！，F(xiàn)有53個教學班，在校學生總數(shù)2174人，其中小學653人，初中1521人。

學校總占地面積4.2萬㎡，建筑面積2.8萬㎡，運動場面積1.5萬㎡。生均校舍面積、生均使用面積、生均運動場地面積均高于義務教育規(guī)范化學校標準。
