例如,他們會說“I do not”而不是“I don’t”,他們會說“did not you”而不是“didn’t you”。
L: I wonder who discovered the power of poetry in driving away love.D: I thought poetry was the food of love.L: Of a fine, stout love. But if it is only a vague inclination. One poor sonnet will kill it.D: So, what do you recommend to encourage affection? …
D: You were dancing with the only handsome girl.B: She is the most beautiful creature I have ever beheld. But her sister Elizabeth is agreeable.D: Perfectly tolerable, not handsome enough to tempt me.
D: Is this your reply? L: Yes, sir.D: Are you laughing at me? L: No.D: Are you rejecting me ? L:I am sure the feeling which hindered your regard will help you ovecome it.D: Might I ask why with so little cilivity I am such repulsed? L: I might enquire why you told me you like me against you beeter judgement.D: If I was uncivil, then that is some excuse L: It was uncivil, but it was some excuse. But you know I have another reason.D: What reason? L: Do you think anything might tempt me to accept the man who has ruined the happiness of a most beloved sister? do you deny that you have separated a young couple who loved each other? do you deny, Mr.Darcy? Exxposing you friend to censure for caprice.and my sister should derision for disppointed hopes and involing them both in acute misery? …
另外,本片最初伊麗莎白于鄉(xiāng)村舞會上不停重復(fù)說:“It’s not the same! It’s not the same!”,這里運(yùn)用重復(fù)句式是為表現(xiàn)伊麗莎白活潑開朗的性格,體現(xiàn)出她的自信,然而,接下來她對她姐姐說:“If every man does not end the evening in love with you, then I’m no judging of beauty”。
片中伊麗莎白在鄉(xiāng)村舞會上曾問她的姐姐:“Which of the painted peacocks is our Mr.Bindley?”

Mr and Mrs Collins have gone to the village. This is a charming house.
I believe my aunt did a great deal to it when Mr Collins first arrived.
I believe so.
She could not have bestowed her kindness on a more grateful subject.-Shall I call for some tea? As long as Darcy chooses.-你打算住多久?
-I am at his disposal.
-She would be a lucky woman.

-Is this your reply?不
-Are you laughing at me?
-But you know I have other reasons.
-I do not deny it.
-You suggested it.What was? 什么?
It was clear an advantageous marriage... No!
Our want of connection?
How, sir?

had not your pride been hurt by my scruples about our relationship.
I am to rejoice in the inferiority of your circumstances?

He then wrote, demanding more money, which I refused. After which, he severed all acquaintance.
He came back to see us last summer, and declared passionate love for my sister, whom he tried to persuade to elope with him.
She is to inherit £30, 000.
When it was made clear he would never receive a penny of it, he disappeared.
I will not attempt to convey the depth of Georgiana's despair.
She was 15 years old.As to the other matter, of your sister and Mr Bingley,至于另外一件事 關(guān)于你的姐姐和彬格萊先生
