Tonight, the grand opening of the 26th Summer Universiade will be held here in Shenzhen.I wish to extend, on behalf of the Chinese government and people, a very warm welcome to all the distinguished guests.世界大學(xué)生運(yùn)動(dòng)會(huì)自1959年創(chuàng)辦以來，秉承“發(fā)展大學(xué)生體育運(yùn)動(dòng)、促進(jìn)國際團(tuán)結(jié)合作”的宗旨，為各國各地區(qū)大學(xué)生運(yùn)動(dòng)員同場競技、展示英姿搭建了平臺(tái)，為世界各國各地區(qū)青年加深互相了解、增進(jìn)友好感情架起了橋梁，有力推動(dòng)了國際青年體育事業(yè)發(fā)展。

Since its birth in 1959, guided by the principle of developing university sports and promoting unity and cooperation across the world, the Universiade has offered university athletes around the world a platform to compete with each other and showcase their sportsmanship.It has served as a bridge that brings young people in the world together to deepen their mutual understanding and friendship, thus giving a strong boost to the cause of international youth sports.半個(gè)世紀(jì)以來，各國各地區(qū)大學(xué)生運(yùn)動(dòng)員在賽場上奮力拼搏、勇創(chuàng)佳績，展現(xiàn)了朝氣蓬勃、昂揚(yáng)向上的青春風(fēng)采。不同國家、不同民族、不同宗教信仰的青年學(xué)子在大運(yùn)會(huì)上友好交流、積極互動(dòng)，多彩文化在這里交融，友誼種子在這里播撒，合作信念在這里凝聚。這是大運(yùn)會(huì)的魅力和真諦所在。

Over the past 50 years and more, university athletes all over the world have been actively engaged in sports competition to bring out their best and displayed youthful vigor.University students from different countries, ethnic groups and religious backgrounds have forged a bond of friendship through exchanges and interactions at the Universiade.Here, diverse cultures mingle, the seed of friendship is sown and the spirit of cooperation is fostered.This is where the appeal of the Universiade lies and this is what the Universiade is all about.女士們、先生們！

尊敬的胡錦濤主席和夫人，女士們、先生們：

我非常高興地歡迎各位來到中國深圳，在此參加接下來11天的深圳第26屆世界大學(xué)生夏季運(yùn)動(dòng)會(huì)。今晚，國際大學(xué)生體育聯(lián)合會(huì)大家庭成員、運(yùn)動(dòng)員、教練員和官員們十分榮幸和驕傲能與大家一起相聚深圳。他們期待著在國際大體聯(lián)史上規(guī)模最大的一屆大運(yùn)會(huì)上向大家展示出自己的最佳風(fēng)采。感謝諸位今晚在此與我們共享這一歷史時(shí)刻。

親愛的參賽者們，感謝你們從世界各地前來參加本屆大運(yùn)會(huì)，希望你們對(duì)為你們精心準(zhǔn)備的場館感到滿意。我要特別感謝深圳市政府和廣東省政府為大家準(zhǔn)備了如此高質(zhì)量的場館。其中有些場館是新建的，我們相信，這作為大運(yùn)會(huì)留下的遺產(chǎn)，對(duì)這座城市和今后使用這些場館的學(xué)生們而言都是非常重要的。

今晚，我們相聚在中國，相聚在美麗的深圳灣。此時(shí)此刻，請(qǐng)?jiān)试S我表達(dá)深圳市民的共同心聲——深圳歡迎來自世界各地的朋友們！

深圳作為一座年輕的城市，也許會(huì)讓青年朋友感到陌生。而正是這座青春城市對(duì)青春盛會(huì)的邀約，讓國際大學(xué)生體育聯(lián)合會(huì)在4年多前選擇了深圳。這是一份前所未有的信任和期待。2009年7月13日，當(dāng)我在貝爾格萊德，從國際大體聯(lián)主席喬治·基里安先生手上接過會(huì)旗，我們就開始用倒計(jì)時(shí)的方式為履行申辦承諾而不懈努力。

年輕的深圳舉辦大運(yùn)會(huì)，給了我們一個(gè)寶貴的機(jī)會(huì)，能夠在籌辦過程中充分展示創(chuàng)新和創(chuàng)意，履行承諾、共襄盛會(huì)。在中國中央政府的卓越領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下，為實(shí)現(xiàn)“從這里開始，不一樣的精彩”的辦會(huì)理念，我們精心修建比賽場館，訓(xùn)練運(yùn)作團(tuán)隊(duì)，尋求科技支持，創(chuàng)造安全條件，也不斷使這座城市的功能與形象得到提升。
