整合初中英語(yǔ)聽(tīng)力材料，提高英語(yǔ)水平

聽(tīng)是人們進(jìn)行言語(yǔ)交際的重要手段，是學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的重要途徑之一。里弗斯（Rivers）的研究表明，聽(tīng)占整個(gè)言語(yǔ)交際活動(dòng)總量的45％。由此可見(jiàn)，訓(xùn)練聽(tīng)力有助于全面提高學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)交際能力。在英語(yǔ)教學(xué)中，向?qū)W生提供大量的聽(tīng)力材料、開(kāi)展聽(tīng)的活動(dòng)是擴(kuò)大學(xué)生語(yǔ)言輸入量的好途徑，反過(guò)來(lái)又有助于提高學(xué)生的聽(tīng)力理解水平，培養(yǎng)他們的語(yǔ)感。那么，該如何有效地上好英語(yǔ)課中的聽(tīng)力部分呢？ 經(jīng)過(guò)幾年的摸索，我認(rèn)為，教學(xué)中最為重要的就是教師要根據(jù)學(xué)生的學(xué)力，對(duì)英語(yǔ)教材中的聽(tīng)力材料進(jìn)行適時(shí)合理的調(diào)整或補(bǔ)充，或降低難度，或增大難度，貼近學(xué)生的生活，激發(fā)學(xué)生的興趣，使聽(tīng)力材料的作用得到最大程度的發(fā)揮。

一、調(diào)整聽(tīng)力材料難易度的原因

“Go for It”教材增加了聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練的內(nèi)容。聽(tīng)力練習(xí)由原來(lái)的每單元一次變成每單元兩次，分別安排在Section A和SectionB中。兩部分聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練都緊扣單元的主題，通過(guò)訪談、對(duì)話、獨(dú)白、打電話等多種多樣的真實(shí)語(yǔ)言材料來(lái)培養(yǎng)學(xué)生聽(tīng)的能力，促進(jìn)學(xué)生吸取語(yǔ)言和文化信息。在聽(tīng)力材料的使用過(guò)程中，教師可以根據(jù)實(shí)際情況和學(xué)生已有的聽(tīng)力水平，對(duì)聽(tīng)力材料進(jìn)行適當(dāng)調(diào)整。這主要基于以下兩個(gè)方面的考慮。

1.教學(xué)的一個(gè)重要原則就是因材施教，“創(chuàng)造適合學(xué)生的教育”已成為當(dāng)今推行素質(zhì)教育的共識(shí)。在英語(yǔ)聽(tīng)力教學(xué)中，如果教師不顧教學(xué)實(shí)際，盲目加大聽(tīng)力材料的難度，學(xué)生的聽(tīng)力學(xué)習(xí)就會(huì)受挫，英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的積極性會(huì)受到影響；而聽(tīng)力材料過(guò)于簡(jiǎn)單，又會(huì)使學(xué)生產(chǎn)生倦怠心理，也無(wú)法提高學(xué)生的聽(tīng)力水平。

2.統(tǒng)一的教材無(wú)法照顧到城鄉(xiāng)之間、重點(diǎn)中學(xué)與普通中學(xué)之間的種種差異。為此，《標(biāo)準(zhǔn)（實(shí)驗(yàn)稿）》指出，教師在使用教材的過(guò)程中，可以根據(jù)學(xué)生的實(shí)際情況對(duì)教材內(nèi)容進(jìn)行補(bǔ)充或刪減，靈活地和有創(chuàng)造性地使用教材；在不影響教材的完整性和系統(tǒng)性的前提下，對(duì)教材的內(nèi)容、編排順序和教學(xué)方法等方面進(jìn)行適當(dāng)?shù)娜∩峄蛘{(diào)整，以使教材的內(nèi)容更加符合學(xué)生的需要和貼近學(xué)生的實(shí)際生活。由此可見(jiàn)，聽(tīng)力材料的適當(dāng)調(diào)整是必要的，也應(yīng)該是可行的。

二、簡(jiǎn)化聽(tīng)力材料，降低難度

在日常教學(xué)中遇到難度大的聽(tīng)力材料時(shí)，教師可采用下面幾種方法簡(jiǎn)化聽(tīng)力材料，降低難度，提高教學(xué)效果。

1.利用插圖展開(kāi)討論，引出聽(tīng)力材料中的部分生詞，并簡(jiǎn)單解釋生詞的詞義。

“Go for It” 教材中的八年級(jí)下Unit 5 Section B部分的聽(tīng)力內(nèi)容是介紹Michael和代理人及父母之間對(duì)于是否加入足球隊(duì)的一些看法。材料的難點(diǎn)在于詞匯（包括單詞發(fā)音）和話題，因此教師首先應(yīng)該考慮如何幫學(xué)生掃除這些障礙。聽(tīng)力練習(xí)提供了兩幅插圖，教師可要求學(xué)生依據(jù)插圖，展開(kāi)討論，進(jìn)行“看圖說(shuō)話”。例如第一則對(duì)話是關(guān)于agent的意見(jiàn)。教師應(yīng)先解釋該生詞，說(shuō)明其身份，然后提出一些問(wèn)題，讓學(xué)生在熱身時(shí)就理解并學(xué)會(huì)“travel around the world”等生詞，這樣就降低了聽(tīng)力材料的難度。

2.引導(dǎo)學(xué)生在聽(tīng)之前對(duì)聽(tīng)力材料做預(yù)測(cè)。

在聽(tīng)力教學(xué)中，教師可以利用標(biāo)題、插圖或某一情節(jié)，創(chuàng)設(shè)一些懸念，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生對(duì)將要聽(tīng)到的內(nèi)容進(jìn)行預(yù)測(cè)，并在隨后的教學(xué)活動(dòng)中予以驗(yàn)證。例如，八年級(jí)上Unit 2 “What’s the Matter?”Section A中的聽(tīng)力材料描述了幾種不同的病情和相應(yīng)的建議。教師可先讓學(xué)生根據(jù)插圖預(yù)測(cè)該人物的病情并提出自己的建議，讓學(xué)生先自由想象、體驗(yàn)，再通過(guò)聽(tīng)相關(guān)材料，找出答案。這些預(yù)測(cè)活動(dòng)使學(xué)生始終處于積極的思維狀態(tài)，有利于聽(tīng)力練習(xí)的順利完成。

3.設(shè)計(jì)由淺入深的練習(xí)。

八年級(jí)上Unit 6 Section B中的聽(tīng)力部分是一段Holly 和Maria的對(duì)話，講述了他們和各自朋友的共同點(diǎn)和不同點(diǎn)。教材里設(shè)計(jì)了兩個(gè)練習(xí)：（1）根據(jù)對(duì)話內(nèi)容寫(xiě)出他們分別喜歡怎么樣的朋友；（2）根據(jù)內(nèi)容細(xì)節(jié)寫(xiě)出他們和各自朋友的共同點(diǎn)及不同點(diǎn)。這樣的要求，我的學(xué)生顯然是達(dá)不到的。于是，我把第二部分的問(wèn)答題重新設(shè)計(jì)，改編成填空題，以這種方式把聽(tīng)力材料提供給學(xué)生，既降低了題目的難度，又培養(yǎng)了學(xué)生捕捉細(xì)節(jié)的能力。而后，讓學(xué)生在大致掌握材料內(nèi)容的基礎(chǔ)上回答問(wèn)題。

4.抓要點(diǎn)，舍細(xì)節(jié)。

“Go for It”教材的每單元有兩個(gè)甚至三個(gè)聽(tīng)力練習(xí)。如果將每個(gè)練習(xí)都作為精聽(tīng)內(nèi)容，勢(shì)必會(huì)加重教師教和學(xué)學(xué)的負(fù)擔(dān)。因此，教師可以采用泛聽(tīng)來(lái)處理部分聽(tīng)力材料，側(cè)重訓(xùn)練學(xué)生對(duì)整篇材料，或?qū)φ麄€(gè)句子意思的理解，而不拘泥于某個(gè)細(xì)節(jié)。例如七年級(jí)下Unit 4 Section B中聽(tīng)力材料是關(guān)于Betty，Jenny和Sam的理想職業(yè)及原因。具體內(nèi)容涉及到了以后的工作場(chǎng)所等其它方面并有個(gè)別生詞在其中。所以，在實(shí)際教學(xué)中，我對(duì)聽(tīng)力要求作了調(diào)整，只要求學(xué)生填出關(guān)鍵詞即可。

三、由易到難，增加聽(tīng)力材料的難度

在日常教學(xué)中遇到較淺顯的聽(tīng)力材料時(shí)，教師可以采用下面的方法增加聽(tīng)力的難度，以激發(fā)學(xué)生求知的欲望，增添學(xué)習(xí)的興趣。

1.有選擇地精聽(tīng)。

教師可讓學(xué)生復(fù)述所聽(tīng)到的重要段落的大意，也可讓學(xué)生逐詞逐句地復(fù)述，或者把聽(tīng)到的句子完整地記錄下來(lái)。通過(guò)精聽(tīng)，學(xué)生對(duì)于語(yǔ)音、語(yǔ)調(diào)、單詞發(fā)音在句子中的變化，如連讀、同化、弱化、失去爆破等，以及重音、口語(yǔ)習(xí)慣表達(dá)方法、語(yǔ)法結(jié)構(gòu)等有更好的把握，聽(tīng)的技能也能不斷提高。因?yàn)槿绻麑W(xué)生能較好地掌握語(yǔ)調(diào)和語(yǔ)氣的變化，就能較好地理解對(duì)話的內(nèi)容，猜測(cè)出對(duì)話中人物之間的關(guān)系等。

2.聽(tīng)說(shuō)結(jié)合。八年級(jí)上Unit 4 Section B部分的聽(tīng)力內(nèi)容是關(guān)于“How does Nina get to school?”。此部分聽(tīng)力題目只是從兩幅圖中選擇其中一條路線，對(duì)于程度好的學(xué)生而言過(guò)于簡(jiǎn)單，因此在回答此題時(shí)，要求學(xué)生看圖口述Nina的上學(xué)路線，這樣就加大了聽(tīng)力的難度，并且可以檢測(cè)學(xué)生是否真正聽(tīng)懂了。
