一、教學要求

二、單元教材分析

本單元的核心內(nèi)容是萬圣節(jié)晚會的準備工作，重點學習Do you like …? Yes.I do./No, I don't.I like ….等句子。教學中教師應(yīng)采用以舊引新的方法，用已學過的句型如：Can I help you? What would you like? I'd like ….等引出本部分的內(nèi)容。

本單元第一次出現(xiàn)a chicken, a duck, a horse, a pig。其他已學過的動物類單詞包括a dog, a car, a monkey, a tiger, a panda, a zebra, a bird, an elephant等，在本單元以復數(shù)形式再次出現(xiàn)。在教學中，要提醒學生注意其在詞形和讀音上的變化。

本單元所出現(xiàn)的動物類單詞，緊密結(jié)合的是商店里的購物用語，在教學中教師要注意創(chuàng)設(shè)購物情景，讓學生熟練自如地運用這些購物的交際用語。

(3)Students try to say something about Halloween.學生介紹時教師可板書一些與萬圣節(jié)有關(guān)的單詞，如：chocolate，sweets，black，orange，pumpkin 等，為后面的學習做鋪墊。

Step 2.Presentation and Practise.1.老師總結(jié)學生搜集的材料并說：

2.Teach some new words and the sentences

引導學生操練本課的對話，請小組同學上來分角色表演課文內(nèi)容。教師進行反饋。

1.教師先介紹自己的大致情況。

(2)In the evenings I like watching TV with my parents.Teach“evening，with”，學生Read and spell them one by one。

Teach“I like watching TV.”引導學生理解“I like doing sth.” 這種句式，教師詢問學生：What do you like? 給學生一些詞組卡片，試著引導學生用I like doing sth.的句式回答。

2.出示p35的圖片，引導學生理解圖意，組內(nèi)合作，看圖說一說。學生先說，教師總結(jié)：

Next to Christmas, Halloween is the most commercialized celebration in the United States and Canada.This ancient festival originated far from North America however, and centuries before the first European set foot on the continent.The ancient Druids 督伊德教(古代高盧人與不列顛人的一種宗教)的教徒 who inhabited what we now call Great Britain placed great importance on the passing of one season to the next, holding “Fire Festivals” which were celebrated for three days(two days on either side of the day itself).One of these festivals was called Samhain(pronounced Sha-Von)and it took place on October 31 through to November 1.During this period, it was believed that the boundaries between our world and the world of the dead were weakened, allowing spirits of the recently dead to cross over and possess the living.In order to make themselves and their homes less inviting to these wayward spirits, the ancient Celts（凱爾特人）would douse（插入水中, 把弄熄, 弄濕）all their fires.There was also a secondary purpose to this, after extinguishing all their fires, they would re-light them from a common source, the Druidic fire that was kept burning at Usinach, in the Middle of Ireland.Samhain was considered to be a gateway not only from the land of the dead to the land of the living, but also between Summer and Fall/Winter.For the Druids, this was the last gasp（喘息, 氣喘）of summer(it was also the Celtic New Year), so therefore they made sure it went out with a bang before they had to button down（把...弄清楚）for the winter ahead.They would dress up in bizarre costumes and parade through their villages causing destruction in order to scare off any recently departed souls who might be prowling（巡游）for bodies to inhabit, in addition to burning animals and other offerings to the Druidic deities（神, 神性）.It is also a popular belief that they would burn people who they believed to be possessed, but this has largely been debunked（揭穿, 拆穿假面具, 暴露）as myth.This yearly festival was adopted by the Roman invaders, who helped to propagate（傳播, 宣傳）it throughout the rest of the world(and at that time, the Roman Empire was the world).The word “Halloween” itself actually comes from a contraction of All Hallows Eve, or All Saint's Day(November 1), which is a Catholic day of observance in honor of saints.This tradition was later brought to the North American continent by Irish immigrants who were escaping the Potato Famine in their homeland.In addition to the festival itself, the immigrants brought several customs with them, including one of the symbols most commonly associated with Halloween--the Jack 'O Lantern.According to Irish folklore, there once lived a man named Jack who was known for being a drunk and a prankster（頑皮的人, 愛開玩笑的人）.One night Jack tricked the devil into climbing a tree, and quickly carved an image of a cross on the trunk, trapping the devil.Jack then made him promise that, in exchange for letting him out of the tree, the Devil would never tempt him to sin again.He reluctantly agreed, but was able to exact his revenge upon Jack's death.Because of his mischievous ways in life, Jack was barred from entering heaven and because of his earlier trick, he was also barred from hell.So he was doomed to wander the earth until the end of time, with only a single ember（灰燼, 余燼）(carried in a hollowed out turnip.[植]蕪箐, 蕪箐甘藍)to warm him and light his way.In Ireland, they originally also used turnips for their “Jack Lanterns”, but upon arriving in the new world, they discovered that pumpkins were abundant and easier to carve out.

三、教學策略及教學設(shè)計

教學策略：多媒體輔助教學能集文字、圖像、影像、聲音及動畫和信息為一體，可產(chǎn)生最佳的教學效果。我設(shè)計的一個第一課時內(nèi)容的課件，要求學生利用我提供的參考資料，積極為自已提供更多的學習資源。

教學設(shè)計：多媒體輔助教學有利于調(diào)動學生學習的積極性，激發(fā)學生的興趣，使教材和媒體的目的優(yōu)勢互補。課件中的模仿、問答練習、角色扮演等相互訓練。

四、教學媒體設(shè)計： 在制作第一課時課件時，我通過文字和圖片的展示，向?qū)W生介紹萬圣節(jié)前夕西方人活動的場面，使學生對國外的節(jié)日有個初步的了解。而由萬圣節(jié)孩子們佩帶的各種動物面具，轉(zhuǎn)接到本課時學習的動物類單詞。這里，我注重發(fā)揮媒體的優(yōu)勢，讓學生聽動物的聲音辨認所學的動物名稱。既增強了趣味性，又使學生身臨其境。通過媒體模擬動物園，學生們定能將英語脫口而出。

一、教材分析

本節(jié)課是牛津小學英語5AUnit4 Halloween的A板塊。這是一節(jié)情景對話課，核心內(nèi)容是萬圣節(jié)晚會的準備工作，圍繞“需要物品、購買物品”這一日常用語展開。由于篇幅較長，容量較大，所以，將此部分作為第二課時。在第一課時中，學生已經(jīng)能用“Do you like..? Yes，I do./No, I don’t.What do you like? I like…”進行問答, 掌握了mask，pumpkin lantern, vase，chicken，duck, horse, pig這些單詞。
