Dear teachers and classmates，It’s ,my honor to speak here,and share some feelings and thoughts with you.My name is kassia, a student from Class Two.in this summer vacation,I’m very glad to take part in the English Summer Camp where we can have a chance to know the foreign teachers and experience their different teaching styles.I think it’s a helpful activitity,so I feel very happy.From the classes,I have learned a lot about how to improve my spoken English.First, listening is very important.For the first few days,some classmates including me ,can’t understand what all the teachers said.When you don’t know the sentences they said, don’t feel upset,but just insist on listening.You will get the meaning from their gestures or expressions,also you can guess the meaning by the words you have learned in the setences.If you stick to listening to them carefully and try your best to understand what they said,you will find that,you can understand them well gradually.Second,interest is helpful.Knowing about the America culture is especially effective in fostering our interest.The teachers told us their families,the music,the school and geography about America.After that,many classmates become interested in America and want to have a visit there , so we will spend more in learning English.Third, vocabulary is necessary.The more words we memorize,The more we express exactly.But some classmates will say “It’s too difficult to memorize so many words!”,so we should learn words in some useful and interesting ways.For example,we have played a game called “Vocabulary Relay Race”, during the race, everyone searches the words in mind and run to blackboard to write,we are all excited and the game help us learn lots of words to enlarge our vocabulary.Also,we can keep words with the help of pictures.Kim let us write down a new word and draw a picture simply about it.By drawing, I find it’s easier to remember a new word.So if you find a good way to learn words,you have made a small success.Finally,speaking is the most important.It’s normal for us to feel nervous when speaking in public, but if we speak more, we will feel relaxed gradually.To me, one class is very impressive,that is “Speech Class”,and the most difficult is that it’s improvised.This is a challenge to us,we should have a quick thought,an exact expression and must overcome the feeling of nervous,Though we are afraid of this kind of activities,it’s really a good way to make progress.So try your best to find the proper way of learning English, I think if you make great efforts, you will succeed!

關(guān)于舉辦華中師范大學(xué)2012年暑期英語夏令營的通知

為推進學(xué)校國際化工作，提高本科生的英語聽、說、讀、寫綜合運用能力、跨文化交流能力和綜合競爭力，教務(wù)處和公共外語系擬共同主辦暑期英語夏令營。

一、培訓(xùn)對象：

具備一定英語口語基礎(chǔ)的2010、2011級博雅計劃班、基地班、交叉實驗班、化學(xué)英才班及師范專業(yè)優(yōu)秀學(xué)生。

二、課程開設(shè)時間：

2012年7月1日至2012年7月17日，周六休息。

三、授課教師：

來自美國擁有豐富教學(xué)經(jīng)驗的外籍教師和公共外語系教學(xué)骨干教師共同授課。

四、授課內(nèi)容：

英語聽力、英語口語

五、授課形式及人數(shù)：

附：音節(jié)小議

英語的音素分為元音和輔音兩大類，由一個元音或一個元音加一個或幾個輔音結(jié)合構(gòu)成的語音單位叫做音節(jié)。例如：

由一個元音構(gòu)成的音節(jié)：I /aI/“我”、oh / u/“哦”、a/eI，/“一個”、ear/I /“耳朵”等；

由一個元音加一個輔音構(gòu)成的音節(jié)： bee/bi:/“蜜蜂”、ill /il/“生病”、my/mai/“我的”、see /si:/“看見”等；由一個元音加幾個輔音構(gòu)成的音節(jié)：bed /bed/“床”、bag/b g/“袋子”、clock /kl k/等。

英語的詞有一個音節(jié)的，也有兩個音節(jié)或三個音節(jié)以上的。顧名思義，一個音節(jié)叫做單音節(jié)，兩個音節(jié)叫做雙音節(jié)，三個或三個以上的音節(jié)叫做多音節(jié)。例如good /gud/只有一個音節(jié)，所以叫做單音節(jié)詞；morning/`m :nI /分別有/m :n/和/I /兩個音節(jié)，所以叫做雙音節(jié)詞；而afternoon /`a:ft `nu:n/有/a:f/、/t /、/nu:n/三個音節(jié)，所以，叫做多音節(jié)詞。

在英語中，雙音節(jié)或多音節(jié)的單詞，每一個詞都有一個讀得特別響亮的音節(jié)，叫做重讀音節(jié)，重讀音節(jié)以重讀符號“`”來表示。例如在evening /`i:vni /一詞中，/i:/是重讀音節(jié)。一般來說，只有一個音節(jié)的單詞往往重讀，但通常不標重讀符號；雙音節(jié)詞和多音節(jié)詞至少有一個音節(jié)重讀，并在重讀的音節(jié)左上方標出重讀符號。

音節(jié)分為開音節(jié)和閉音節(jié)。以元音字母a 或 e, i, o, u結(jié)尾的音節(jié)叫做開音節(jié)，如nice, hi, hello, fine等都是以開音節(jié)結(jié)尾的單詞；以輔音字母結(jié)尾的音節(jié)叫做閉音節(jié)，如meet, bed, what, wall, mom等都是以閉音節(jié)結(jié)尾的單詞。

1.記單詞的最好辦法是什么？ 把一個單詞造出多個句子，訓(xùn)練把這多個句子在場景下脫口說出。句子記住了，單詞也當然得到了充分理解和長期記憶。

2.學(xué)習(xí)英語忌過分講究速度和效率，不愿花時間經(jīng)常重復(fù)（復(fù)習(xí)）已學(xué)過的內(nèi)容。語言運用是一種技能，技能則只有靠熟能生巧，要不斷重復(fù)才會熟練，只有熟練了才會形成一種不假思索的技能。

3.語言是有聲的，我們對語言的感受首先是語言的聲音作用于我們的大腦。如果不練習(xí)聽力，只是默默地閱讀和背單詞，其結(jié)果不僅聽不懂別人講外語，而且閱讀水平也難以提高。

4.語言的實踐性很強，如果只學(xué)而不用，就永遠也學(xué)不好。我們學(xué)語言的目的就是為了應(yīng)用，要學(xué)會在用中學(xué)習(xí)，這樣才能提高興趣，達到好的學(xué)習(xí)效果。
