      語言是人類社會交際和思維的工具,它通常由文字語言、有聲語言和肢體語言組成。所謂肢體語言,是相對于文字語言和有聲語言的一種非符號、非聲波的動作,姿態(tài)語言是指人有意識或無意識地通過自己身體外部的各種器官的某種動作發(fā)射的信息,借以傳達(dá)訊號或表達(dá)情感的語言形態(tài)。肢體語言作為一種傳遞信息的工具,其產(chǎn)生和運(yùn)用要早于有聲語言。在有聲語言產(chǎn)生以后,它是傳遞信息,增加表達(dá)效果的一種重要輔助手段。它主要有面部表情語言和體態(tài)語言兩部分組成,其在交際中有著其他兩種語言無法替代的作用。在小學(xué)英語教學(xué)中,教師除用有聲語言來表述外,還可以運(yùn)用無聲的肢體語言來輔助教學(xué),由于它傳達(dá)意義既快又清楚,往往能起到其他教學(xué)方式達(dá)不到的效果,大大提高課堂教學(xué)的效果。小學(xué)階段是學(xué)習(xí)語言的極佳時期,也是英語學(xué)習(xí)的關(guān)鍵時期之一。由于現(xiàn)在英語已經(jīng)成為小學(xué)的一門主要課程,因此激發(fā)小學(xué)生對英語的初學(xué)興趣、為中學(xué)階段英語的學(xué)習(xí)打下基礎(chǔ)成為小學(xué)英語教師的重要任務(wù)。然而孩子年齡小,自制力相對較差,注意力不易集中,抽象思維不夠發(fā)達(dá),再加上英語對他們來說是一個非常陌生的學(xué)科,他們更多的是對英語的好奇:什么是英語?英語有意思嗎?這樣,如果教師在課堂上只是按部就班地把英語知識強(qiáng)行灌輸給這些小學(xué)生,他們就會感到厭煩,從而喪失對英語的興趣。那么,如何提高小學(xué)英語課堂教學(xué)效率呢?大量研究實踐證明,成功的課堂教學(xué),不僅需要教師用優(yōu)美的有聲語言來傳授知識而且必須伴隨自然得體的肢體語言,兩者在課堂上的作用是相輔相成、缺一不可的。尤其是對小學(xué)英語課堂而言,每一個英語教師除了要具有較好的英語知識,還要掌握如何在課堂上運(yùn)用肢體語言,以達(dá)到良好的教學(xué)效果。心理學(xué)家曾通過實驗得出這樣的結(jié)論:學(xué)生獲取信息的效果=7%的文字+38%的音調(diào)+55%的面部表情及動作。由此可知,肢體語言在英語教學(xué)中具有重要的作用。

      一、肢體語言的含義肢體語言(body language)是指在交際過程中人們?nèi)魏尾课惠o助語言交流的表情、行為和舉止。它是語言的一種,屬于非言語語言(non-verbal lan-guage),是用人的面部表情、身體姿勢、肢體動作和體位變化而構(gòu)成的種種圖像符號。肢體語言可以幫助教師學(xué)會如何吸引學(xué)生的注意力,調(diào)動學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)積極性,主動把握課堂進(jìn)度,使課堂的氣氛活躍起來。Grant Hennings(1971)認(rèn)為,課堂教學(xué)效果的82%都是通過教師的表情、舉止等人體動作實現(xiàn)的,而只有18%的信息是通過語言行為表達(dá)的??梢姺钦Z言交際,尤其是肢體語言對英語課堂教學(xué)有著重要的影響。

      二、肢體語言的重要性

      (一)吸引學(xué)生的注意力,激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣英語教學(xué)過程是學(xué)生有意注重與無意注重交替運(yùn)用、共同發(fā)揮作用以達(dá)到最好學(xué)習(xí)效果的過程。在學(xué)習(xí)過程中,單靠有意注重會使學(xué)生厭煩,注意力難以持久,而如果教師用生動有趣的語言加上不斷變換的肢體語言來吸引他們,其眼睛就會隨你而動,把注意力集中到你的身上。如:在講課過程中,教師可以用豐富的表情、語調(diào)、變換的節(jié)奏,加上各種手勢并自覺地變換身體姿態(tài)、視線等方法把學(xué)生的注意力吸引過來。Albert Einstein曾說過:“興趣是最好的老師?!庇⒄Z新課標(biāo)中也明確指出:要“激發(fā)和培養(yǎng)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語的興趣,使學(xué)生樹立自信心,養(yǎng)成良好的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣和形成有效的學(xué)習(xí)策略,發(fā)展自主學(xué)習(xí)的能力和合作精神”。課堂上,教師如果能把生動形象的肢體語言同富有感情的閱讀和生動的解釋結(jié)合在一起使用,必定能夠吸引學(xué)生的注意力,激發(fā)其學(xué)習(xí)的熱情,從而達(dá)到理想的教學(xué)效果。

      (二)創(chuàng)設(shè)和諧的課堂氣氛師生之間的情感交流是創(chuàng)設(shè)和諧課堂氣氛的重要因素。課堂上肢體語言的應(yīng)用可以使死氣沉沉、單調(diào)乏味的課堂氣氛變得生機(jī)勃勃,從而為學(xué)習(xí)創(chuàng)造一個舒適的環(huán)境。在這樣的環(huán)境里,學(xué)生更加自愿地模仿英語的聽說讀寫,逐漸掌握目標(biāo)語。這就是說,學(xué)生在課堂上情緒的變化是受教師肢體語言制約的,教師的表情、眼神、手勢、身勢無不影響著學(xué)生的心境和態(tài)度。教師積極的肢體語言會促進(jìn)學(xué)生的智力活動,使學(xué)生產(chǎn)生一種輕松愉快、自然明朗的情感。實踐證明,在課堂教學(xué)中,能夠適當(dāng)?shù)卦诮淌抑凶邉拥慕處熗戎徽驹谥v臺與黑板之間的教師產(chǎn)生更積極的教學(xué)效果,而面帶笑容的教師往往能營造出更加輕松、活躍的課堂氣氛。

      三、肢體語言在英語教學(xué)中的應(yīng)用許多研究表明,教師需要學(xué)會運(yùn)用肢體語言去提高課堂教學(xué)的質(zhì)量。事實上,教師如果能夠?qū)W會如何在課堂上更有效地運(yùn)用肢體語言,師生之間的關(guān)系就會得到改善,學(xué)生的認(rèn)知能力和學(xué)習(xí)效率也會得到提高。下面簡單介紹幾種英語課堂上常用的肢體語言:(一)眼神是最重要、最具表達(dá)力的肢體語言,通過一個人的眼神可以看到他內(nèi)心的迷惑、恐懼、焦慮等。作為小學(xué)英語教師,首先必須了解眼神不僅可以用來表達(dá)與所教內(nèi)容相關(guān)的情感,而且也能進(jìn)行師生間的情感交流。教師上課時的目光應(yīng)該是讓每個學(xué)生都覺得老師在看著自己,在和自己說話。這樣學(xué)生就不會輕易走神,肯定比教師眼睛看著天花板或后墻要好得多。另外,不同的眼神可以傳達(dá)出不同的語言。提問時,可向?qū)W生投以期望和信賴的目光,對答對的學(xué)生應(yīng)該給以贊許的目光,對答錯的學(xué)生應(yīng)該給予鼓勵的目光。總之,合理恰當(dāng)?shù)厥褂醚凵襁M(jìn)行師生交流有助于提高課堂教學(xué)效益,增進(jìn)師生間的情感。

      (二)面部表情也是一種重要而又便捷的傳遞信息、營造良好教學(xué)氛圍的肢體語言,有許多奇妙的功效。作為教師,我們要善于調(diào)節(jié)并用豐富的表情說話。這樣,既能讓學(xué)生接受到豐富的語言信息又能讓我們的工作變得更加有效和有趣。英語課堂上有一種非常重要的面部表情,那就是笑容。因為英語學(xué)習(xí)對小學(xué)生而言本身就是非常困難,這就要求教師在課堂上要用一種樂觀、自信和積極向上的情緒來影響學(xué)生,而笑容恰好能產(chǎn)生這種效果。因此,英語教師應(yīng)該面帶笑容走進(jìn)教室向?qū)W生打招呼:“Goodmorning.How are you,today?”當(dāng)學(xué)生回答問題正確時應(yīng)微笑著說:“Excellent”“Very good”“Great”,以示鼓勵。同樣,在學(xué)生犯錯時也要用笑容來鼓勵,而不是嚴(yán)厲的指責(zé)??傊?,面帶笑容的教師往往能營造輕松、活躍的課堂氣氛,讓學(xué)生感受到學(xué)習(xí)的樂趣。

      (三)手勢語的應(yīng)用也是小學(xué)英語教學(xué)過程中的重要部分。尤其針對小學(xué)生,適當(dāng)?shù)氖謩菡Z可以使得語言表達(dá)更具說服力和交際能力,使教師的課堂語言更生動形象。如:向?qū)W生問好,面帶笑容說:“hello”;在教“My name is…”時,可以指著自己,然后把名字寫在黑板上,再指著某個學(xué)生說:“Your name is…”;在教詞組“stand up,sit down,come here,go back”等時,教師可以一一地做站起來、坐下、到這兒來和回去的動作。這樣,學(xué)生自然就會理解其意思,而且會印象深刻。(四)身體姿勢英語課堂作為真實的語言環(huán)境進(jìn)行語言交流是有很大局限性的。因此,小學(xué)英語教師應(yīng)該知道如何藝術(shù)性地在課堂上講授句型與單詞,然后利用肢體語言尤其是身體姿勢語言啟發(fā)、引導(dǎo)學(xué)生去學(xué)習(xí)、使用它們。這就要求教師應(yīng)盡可能地為學(xué)生創(chuàng)設(shè)真實的課堂語言環(huán)境,學(xué)生就會在快樂的氣氛中不知不覺學(xué)到知識。

      在小學(xué)英語的課堂教學(xué)中,肢體語言占到了很大的一個比重。我們都知道,小學(xué)生的注意力集中時間短,運(yùn)用肢體語言可以提高學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,活躍課堂氣氛。另外,小學(xué)生的模仿能力強(qiáng),聽說能力優(yōu)于讀寫能力,在課堂教學(xué)中運(yùn)用肢體語言,邊學(xué)邊說邊做,有利于學(xué)生對所學(xué)知識的理解和記憶。

      在暑假期間的英語教師培訓(xùn)中,外校的陶老師給我們新教師做了一個關(guān)于肢體語言的專題講座,向我們介紹了一個關(guān)于肢體語言的新概念:physical total response。在這個講座中,陶老師將理論與實踐結(jié)合起來,詳細(xì)闡述了肢體語言在英語課堂教學(xué)中的重要性。就此,我思考了自己在教學(xué)中的肢體語言的運(yùn)用。

      一.肢體語言在單詞教學(xué)中的運(yùn)用。

      在一年級的教材中,有一個單元是教授run, jump, sing, dance四個單詞的。在這個單元的教學(xué)中,讓學(xué)生邊做動作邊說單詞,收到了很好的效果。根據(jù)肢體語言,還可以開展形式多樣的游戲來鞏固單詞。比如“比誰反應(yīng)快”,教師說指令,學(xué)生聽到指令后邊做動作邊復(fù)述單詞。又比如“Simon says”,當(dāng)教師在指令前加“Simon says”時,學(xué)生邊做動作邊復(fù)述單詞;當(dāng)教師沒有在指令前加“Simon says”時,學(xué)生則不必做動作。這些游戲可以通過小組比賽的形式進(jìn)行,在鞏固單詞的同時也訓(xùn)練了學(xué)生的反應(yīng)能力和團(tuán)隊協(xié)作能力。

      二.肢體語言在詞組中的運(yùn)用。

      在三年級的教材中,有一個單元是教授get up, go to school, go home, go to bed四個詞組的。在課堂教學(xué)中,教師可以分別給四個詞組設(shè)計相應(yīng)的動作,讓學(xué)生邊聽邊看,邊說邊做。比如說get up的時候,可以伸個懶腰,go to school就是做背書包的動作,等等。在四年級的教材中,有個單元是教授動物單詞的,教師可以根據(jù)這些動物的特性分別給它們設(shè)計相應(yīng)的動作。在新授時,教師可以做動作來讓學(xué)生猜,將這些單詞一一導(dǎo)出;或者在開展鞏固活動時,可以讓學(xué)生到講臺前來模仿這些動物,讓全班一起來猜一猜。這樣可以大大調(diào)動學(xué)生的積極性與參與性,同時提升課堂的趣味性。

      三.肢體語言在句子中的運(yùn)用。

      在五年級的教材中,有一個單元的重點(diǎn)句型是“What can you do? I can …”在課堂教學(xué)中,教師提問,可以讓學(xué)生邊做動作邊回答,讓課堂氛圍充分“動”起來。在新授的句型中,如“Listen to me.”“Now follow me, please.”等,也可以加入動作,加深學(xué)生的理解。

      一節(jié)課40分鐘,要讓小學(xué)生乖乖坐著聽老師講課是非常困難的。但如果在英語課堂教學(xué)中加入肢體語言,讓學(xué)生在課堂上能夠“松一松、動一動”,不僅能提高學(xué)習(xí)的效率,而且能讓學(xué)生愛上英語課

      1928年7月29日,李嘉誠先生誕生于廣東省潮州潮安縣。1940年,隨父母到香港定居。1943年冬其父辭世,至此少年李嘉誠開始了學(xué)徒、工人、塑膠廠推銷員的生活。1948年,20歲的他就開始在新蒲崗擔(dān)任了一家塑膠廠的業(yè)務(wù)經(jīng)理、總經(jīng)理。1950年,在筲箕灣創(chuàng)立了長江塑膠廠。1957年,在北角創(chuàng)立了長江工業(yè)有限公司,發(fā)展塑膠花、玩具生產(chǎn)等。1958年,1960年先后在北角、柴灣建造了兩座工業(yè)大廈。1972年9月31日,李嘉誠創(chuàng)建了長江實業(yè)有限公司,11月1日,“長實”股票在香港證券交易所、遠(yuǎn)東交易所、金銀證券交易所掛牌上市,并相繼在倫敦(1973年)、加拿大的溫哥華(1974年6月)掛牌上市。1974年5月,與加拿大帝國商業(yè)銀行聯(lián)組恰東財務(wù)有限公司。

      1985年5月15日,李嘉誠出任匯豐銀行董事局非執(zhí)行副董事長。1986年,長實集團(tuán)名列香港十大財團(tuán)首富,李嘉誠旗下四大公司上市值占香港上市總值13.57%。1990年4月7日,李嘉誠旗下的“和黃”與“中信”、英國大東電報局合作投資的“亞洲衛(wèi)星一號”,由中國“長征3號”運(yùn)載火箭,成功地送入東南亞上空的同步軌道。到1991年間,“長實”系財團(tuán)已發(fā)展成為有重要國際地位和重大影響的跨國多元化企業(yè)集團(tuán),擁有1200多億港元資產(chǎn),比1986年增加兩倍半。
