翻譯證書管用嗎？

現(xiàn)在國內根本不缺少專業(yè)英語八級或擁有各種等級口筆譯證書的“準人才”，缺少的是能夠實戰(zhàn)的外語人才，即需要懂工程技術語言的外語人才。試想，如果中外雙方工程技術人員用專業(yè)語言進行交流，就是國內知名外語大學的畢業(yè)生或海歸也未必能夠完全聽懂中文，在這種情況下，你如何同別人進行技術交流或勝任更高層次的翻譯工作。

我們經常遇到很多前來面試的求職者，請他或她一坐下來，他們就會從包里拿出中英文簡歷，這個證書或那個證書，諸如CET-4,、CET-

6、TEM-

4、TEM-

8、上海市高級口譯/高級筆譯證書，還有什么會計證、報關證等等。掃一眼他們的英文簡歷，就會發(fā)現(xiàn)，英文簡歷中頓號、書名號（英文中有這兩個標點符號嗎？）都有，錯別字，語法錯誤一大堆，還需要什么證書來證明你的英文很好嗎？再說，我們專業(yè)化的翻譯公司還需要你拿著這個證那個證來幫助我們判斷你的水平或能力嗎？你口語不錯，那就跟你用英語交談一下吧。你說你筆譯不錯，那隨便找?guī)锥斡⑽幕蛑形慕o你翻譯一下看看。你一張嘴，一動筆，我們就能知道你的水平或能力如何。還需要任何機構頒發(fā)的證書來證明你有這個那個水平或能力嗎？你在我們面前展示的實際水平或能力不行，你就是拿著美國哈佛大學、斯坦福大學、麻省理工學院、加州伯克利分校、普林斯頓大學、耶魯大學等，英國牛津大學、劍橋大學等的畢業(yè)證書，拿著聯(lián)合國同傳證書，我們也不會錄用。

說實話，我認為只有那些不懂英文或翻譯，或者沒有能力鑒別應聘者是否真正具有這方面能力的公司或面試者才會在意你是否能夠出示這個證書、那個證書。還有一種可能就是某個機構很大，他們會有專門的人力資源專員或工作人員對應聘者的簡歷進行初步篩選，然 后會有懂行的人進行專業(yè)化的考核或面試。即便是這樣，如果你的實際能力不行或水平不夠，你擁有的證書或文憑只能有助于你進入第二輪，如果真是這樣一種情況的話，那只能說你浪費的時間更多或投入的成本更高。

本人不反對你去獲得任何證書，但是關鍵是你的實際能力是否達到那個證書要求你達到的水平或者是滿足用人單位的實際需要。設想一下，一個單位招聘會計，你從來沒有在任何單位做過賬，你即使通過考試獲得過一張會計證，你覺得那個單位會聘用你嗎？除非這家公司是想把你作為一個儲備人才進行培養(yǎng)。

本人讀MBA的時候，有一門課叫“現(xiàn)代財務管理”。給我們上這門課的那位老師是北京某個知名大學的財務會計方面的教授，結果我們所有同學對這門課都非常不滿意。他根本就沒有在任何企業(yè)或公司的實際經驗，只會照本宣科。當然他在財務會計方面的英文還不錯，我們倒是跟著學到了一些英文術語。有點可笑的是，我們班上有兩個當時在大型國企工作的財務科長，這豈不是外行給內行做指導嗎？如果不是后來本人開辦了公司，在實踐中了解和熟悉了一些財務知識，那本人在這一塊至今還是空白呢。也就是說，只有通過實踐才能增加你的實際能力，也才能增加你的文憑或證書的含金量。

翻譯是一份辛苦的職業(yè)

現(xiàn)在的年輕人中，有很多人夢想成為一名翻譯，希望有朝一日能夠成為一個在別人看來非常風光的職業(yè)。其實，翻譯這個職業(yè)是非常辛苦的。無論是兼職翻譯還是專職翻譯，都會感覺這個職業(yè)的艱辛。

做過翻譯的，尤其是現(xiàn)在做兼職的口譯人員或選擇翻譯作為自由職業(yè)的口譯員都知道，為了翻譯好每一場會議，他們都要提前對會議 的內容、洽談方雙方的文化背景進行深入地了解。臨場翻譯時，要集中精力，容不得一點分心，還要隨時做好準備，以應對突然出現(xiàn)的特殊場面。在中外雙方宴請時，翻譯尤其會處于一種非常尷尬的局面。當中方人員說話時，你得認真聽著并隨時完成翻譯，當外方人員說話時，翻譯又要接著進行翻譯，因此整個宴會下來，翻譯幾乎沒有吃到任何東西，等宴會結束時還餓著肚子。還有一種情況就是很多中國的企業(yè)領導人或工程師，他們不了解翻譯的苦衷，發(fā)表自己的意見或回答外方的問題時，長篇大論，中間沒有任何停頓，只顧把自己的話說完，翻譯根本記不住那么多。

而筆譯人員，要坐得住，耐得住寂寞，尤其是翻譯幾萬字的專業(yè)稿件時，不僅要先廣泛查閱大量的相關專業(yè)知識，而且要頻繁地查字典或上網搜索一些地名、公司名或專業(yè)詞匯。遇到任務比較急的工作時，還要挑燈夜戰(zhàn)幾個通宵。一位翻譯網友稱：“翻譯是一個很孤獨的職業(yè)。由于有時候客戶要求交稿的時間很緊，翻譯必須在客戶規(guī)定的時間內完成稿件，那么只能挑燈夜戰(zhàn)，有時候甚至是連續(xù)通宵達旦的加班趕稿?？蛻綦m然對時間要求緊，但對質量要求卻并不放松”。

因此，如果你是一個不能吃苦、耐不住寂寞、坐不住的人，在選擇這個職業(yè)之前，你就要三思而行。由于當今的科技發(fā)展日新月異，網絡的飛速發(fā)展，新的詞匯和術語不斷涌現(xiàn)，要能夠在這個行業(yè)求生存、立住腳，你需要不斷地學習進步。選定了這個職業(yè)，就意味著你將痛并快樂著。

第四篇：翻譯證書

現(xiàn)在市面上有三張證書：A，北外和聯(lián)合國同聲傳譯處聯(lián)合舉辦的，受訓完畢派往聯(lián)合國工作。因為難度頗大，受訓人員通常比較少?；驹诒蓖庑冗x拔，具有公務員性質 B，人事部的翻譯資格證書，全國通用，分為口譯和筆譯兩種。難度分別為3級，2級，1級。1級證書不公開考試，也帶有某種內部評定的性質，且市面上只有3級和2級的學習資料。C，上?？谧g資格證書考試。該證書在三張證書中最先推廣，比較好地適應了中國經濟的發(fā)展，在華東地區(qū)尤其是長三角地區(qū)影響力最大。

考慮到杭州的情況和大學生畢業(yè)就業(yè)之需，提供參考觀點如下：

第一，北外的證書和人事部一級證書不需要去追逐，任何努力在可以預見的未來都是沒有結果的，因此這樣的努力也是不必要的。

第二，上?？谧g證書考試和人事部證書考試的難度關系：上海中級口譯證書考試比人事部的3級證書簡單些，上海高級口譯證書介于人事部的3級證書和2級證書之間。第三，考慮到絕大部分學員的英語能力，建議學員從上海的口譯證書開始學起。一來起步不是太難，學習過程中不會太受打擊。二來只要將上海高級口譯證書考試拿下，那么通過自己的能力就可以較輕松地攻克人事部的2級證書。這樣并不等于說上海口譯證書考試難度不大。根據(jù)我的主考經驗和以往數(shù)據(jù)統(tǒng)計，上?？谧g證書考試(筆試+口試)總體通過率均不超過12%。筆試階段中級口譯的通過率大概為40%，高級口譯的通過率不到30%。但到了口試階段，通過率更加悲壯----約為30%。因此這張證書的含金量相當?shù)母?，所涉及的知識面和信息量也相當?shù)膹V，是就業(yè)競爭中超越諸多英語證書的利器。

要想很好的攻克上?？谧g證書，需要從如下幾點認真做起：

第一，確定發(fā)展道路。如果考生有意向沖擊口譯或者翻譯能力，并且依靠該能力贏得競爭優(yōu)勢，那么按照如下做法會比較省時，高效。中級口譯筆試—〉中級口譯口試—〉高級口譯—〉高級口譯口試---〉人事部2級。在這個過程中，需要注意幾點：A，高級口譯不能包括中級口譯。雖然當年本人直接越過中級口譯獲得了高級口譯證書。但事后看來，中級口譯所涉及的東西是高級口譯不具備的。中級口譯涉及的面比較微觀實用，高級口譯涉及的面抽象玄乎。B，中級口譯筆試結束后只需要沖擊口試一次，不管通過與否都無所謂。需要立刻調整狀態(tài)沖擊高級口譯，而在高級口譯階段，則需要想盡任何辦法通過口試，此處沒有后退的余地。C,高級口譯通過之后，參看人事部的3級資料，同時不要松懈對高級口譯知識點的理解和鞏固。這個過程大概需要一年，有了這一年的鞏固，憑借高級口譯的證書和能力，市面上已經鮮有競爭對手，同時大小會議都能從容應付。D，在經過一年的鞏固和提高之后，可以沖擊人事部的2級證書，不管是筆譯證書還是口譯證書。這個時候不需要參加任何課程，自己可以比較輕松的攻克。因為到了這個階段，考生實際上已經有了2級證書的能力，所缺乏的就是2級的證書。

第二，端正好態(tài)度。口譯證書考試是能力和實力的體現(xiàn)，沒有多少考試技巧可言。唯有扎實的功底方能助考生勝出。建議感興趣的學員首先要好好鞏固詞匯。鑒于口譯沒有專門的詞匯，學員只要能將六級詞匯好好掌握，那么問題就不大了。通常為了中級口譯順利過關，需要將六級詞匯掌握至少5遍。為了沖擊高級口譯，需要將六級詞匯掌握20遍以上?？谧g考試不同于四六級以及考研。后者有很多的消極詞匯(passive vocabulary),即只要在考試時

認得，不需要主動記憶和運用。前者需要考生記住的任何一個單詞都能為你隨心所欲的使用，因此對于詞匯要相當?shù)氖炀殹?/p>

第三，針對上?？谧g證書考試，學員可以參考如下學習方法：重視四本書：聽力，口譯，筆譯，閱讀理解。

1，口語書的內容可以自己參看，對于考試沒有多大的幫助。

2，聽力在筆試時占到90分，分值相當大，不容忽視;并且聽力部分的兩個聽譯段落中有一個段落出自聽力教材。在鍛煉聽力的時候希望能夠做到如下幾點：A，如果聽不懂，那么參看后面的script,這樣再聽時則會發(fā)現(xiàn)原來聽不懂的東西就可以聽懂了，并且聽不懂的地方就是你的問題所在。這樣一本書聽下來，可以糾正很多的錯誤，做到真正的提高。B，建議在聽的時候準備一“材”多用，首先將它視為聽力教材，在完成這個目的之后，好好的研究內容。它是一套不錯的口語教材。當然要做到這一點，必須在閱讀的時候從中英兩個方面來考慮，即，看著英文思考中文的意思。這樣一本書下來，不但積累了口語表達信息，也鍛煉了“譯”的能力。

3，重視口譯與筆譯的原因也很簡單。第一，分值。不管是中級還是高級，譯的成份都占到100分。其次，在口譯筆試中，尤其是高級口譯比試中，由于閱讀理解量大題難，大部分人在規(guī)定的時間內都看不完，做題時更不用說正確率了。所以這一塊的唯一解決方法就是想辦法爭取時間。這部分時間唯有從翻譯那里擠出來。如果一開始就重視翻譯和口譯，那么理想的話可以為閱讀理解多爭取一倍的時間。第二，在筆試完后大概一個月的樣子就可以知道是否有資格參加口試。如果到那個時候再準備，那么已經晚了。所以建議在筆試開始的時候就應該看完筆譯，口譯的第一遍。在口試前的一個月內再將這兩本書看完兩遍。第一遍看著文章推測譯文，第二遍看著譯文推測原文。第三遍和第一遍一樣。這樣三遍下來便可盡收考試要點，做到無招勝有招。當然不是背下來，因為所有試題都是似曾相識，但又不是出自書本。

4，閱讀理解是大部分人比較忽視的一塊。但是由于口譯這個東西融入了太多的中國成份，那么久而久之，口譯學習者的語言感覺會被毒害。因此仔細閱讀《閱讀理解》這本書有助于定期解毒。同時閱讀理解提供的信息很多，值得收集。在閱讀這本書的時候不應太快，按照自己的速度慢慢看。不要把它看作閱讀理解題目來做。重在欣賞和積累英語人士的優(yōu)美、地道表達。

至于口試部分，其實沒有多少好擔心的。出現(xiàn)一個考場16個考生不過的情況本來可以避免。關鍵是考生在筆試的時候就有投機的成份，沒有真正提高自己的英語能力。并且在口譯的時候有了太多無謂的心理壓力。通常能夠通過第一階段的考生沒有理由通不過第二階段。主要是自己嚇死自己，并且把過多的精力放到了口語表達上面。要想很好的處理這個問題，需要考生在第一階段時就端正態(tài)度，不要將口譯考試當作一門有很多考試技巧的考試，而是要扎扎實實提高自己的英語能力。否則即使第一階段能夠通過，在第二階段也要栽跟頭。其次，平時練習口譯時要注意“筆記”和“聽”的比例。最好的狀態(tài)是將70%的精力放在聽上，30%的精力放在隨意筆記上。保證筆記的速度和磁帶朗讀速度一致，即篩選最重要的中心詞記錄。

第四，個人認為口譯人人能做，不分專業(yè)和天賦。關鍵看功夫能不能花到家。在這個競爭越發(fā)激烈的社會上，和翻譯相關的行業(yè)依然保持了比較高的競爭力和工資水平;同時翻譯不是一個狹隘的概念，只要具備了高級口譯的扎實能力，那么任何考試輕松拿下;因此是值得有志青年努力追求。雖然在諸多的比試和選擇中，我們可能在某些環(huán)節(jié)處于劣勢，但是扎扎實實的高級口譯能力必將還你一個“英雄不問出處”。
