      ——以課本劇表演為依托的小學英語課堂實踐研究

      【摘要】

      英語課本劇,是教師依據(jù)英語教材,在研讀教材、整合教材的基礎(chǔ)上,充分挖掘教材中的活動因素,將課本改編成學生貼近日常生活、貼近時代要求的內(nèi)容健康的英文劇本。即把教材內(nèi)容編成一個個小短劇,有人物,有情節(jié),通過表演,形象直觀地演繹教材。

      英語課本劇是以教材為范本,以交際主題為中心,活用教材的語言材料,以表演的方式,展開交際情境的形式。在整個課本劇活動過程中,小組成員是合作伙伴,教師是導(dǎo)演,學生是演員,教室是舞臺。英語課本劇架起了一座鏈接“玩”與“學”的堅實橋梁。

      【前言】

      初涉教壇,聽校內(nèi)外公開課數(shù)十節(jié),其教學風格各異,或嚴肅謹慎、波瀾不驚、四平八穩(wěn);抑或風趣幽默、激情四射、新穎獨特。前者教師不厭其煩地、自我陶醉式地細致講解句型、語法,學生乖的像木頭人一樣認真地聆聽!不得不佩服老師的講述功底,結(jié)果導(dǎo)致學生課堂內(nèi)沒有足夠的時間去操練強化知識點;后者教師幾分鐘略帶講解后,便設(shè)計各種有趣精彩的互動活動,學生熱鬧的像無頭的螞蟻一般盡情地玩耍著!也不得不欣賞老師的奇思妙想,其結(jié)果造成學生被新穎的活動形式所吸引,忘記了在活動中操練運用英語。前者只顧學,不顧玩;后者只顧玩,不顧學。兩者教學效果、目標達成度均甚微。新教師容易走這兩種教學極端,如何架起一座鏈接“玩”與“學”的有效橋梁,是我們廣大一線小學英語教師需要潛心認真思考的問題。

      教育專家們研究出的理論和方法有很多,涉及方方面面,高度概括,但不能因地制宜,因人而變,我們不能教條主義﹑生搬硬套,應(yīng)當通過實踐和檢驗,將 1

      其理論和方法地方化和具體化。小學英語教學因小學生的年齡特征和心理認知特點有其特殊性,他們注意力不夠持久,活潑好動,對新鮮事物有好奇心。為此,小學英語教學既不能滿堂灌,也不能任其嬉戲,玩與學要比重適宜,應(yīng)提倡玩中學, 如何在快樂的玩耍中不忘記學習?如何在精彩的活動中滲透著學習?

      筆者立足本校英語教學現(xiàn)狀和農(nóng)村小學生的身心特點,有取舍地選擇了切入點小﹑易于操作的英語課本劇作為行動突破口和實踐途徑,進行深度研究和廣泛訓練,在此基礎(chǔ)上提煉出了適合我們當?shù)貙嶋H學情的理論和方法。

      英語課本劇,用英語來表演既是“玩”又是“學”,玩中演,演中學,“演” 是“玩” 與“學” 之間的有效鏈接與過度,“演” 是“玩” 與“學”之間的堅實橋梁,“演”使學生自由穿梭于“玩”與“學”之間,且不會迷失方向,既玩得快樂,也收獲滿滿!一﹑英語課本劇的理論依據(jù)

      根據(jù)教育心理學的研究,學生的遺忘曲線表明,單憑機械記憶的東西容易遺忘,眼、耳、口、腦、手并用,就會加深記憶痕跡,大腦皮層的興奮點就能保持得更為長久,而英語課本劇正好符合這一規(guī)律。

      英語課本劇與《英語課程標準(實驗稿)》要求的英語教學要“面向全體學生,突出學生主體,采用活動途徑,倡導(dǎo)體驗參與 ”基本理念是一致的,新課程標準特別強調(diào)通過學生“能夠用英語做事情”來體現(xiàn)學業(yè)成就感,倡導(dǎo)讓學生在教師的指導(dǎo)下,通過感知、體驗、實踐、參與和合作等方式,實現(xiàn)任務(wù)的目標,感受成功。在學習過程中進行情感和策略調(diào)整,以形成積極的學習態(tài)度,促進語言實際運用能力的提高。二﹑英語課本劇的活動安排 1.時間安排。

      一般情況下,課本劇可以在每一單元結(jié)束后,抽出課前或課后5-10分鐘時間讓學生就本單元相關(guān)主題進行自由表演。此外,每月可舉行一至兩次的集中表演。平時表演較好的小組可以在大型英語晚會等活動中進行創(chuàng)意表演。

      2.組織形式

      在組織形式上,最好在自愿組合的基礎(chǔ)上將班內(nèi)幾十名同學根據(jù)能力、愛好、特長、英語水平分成若干小組。每組設(shè)組長一名,組織負責具體事物,如劇本的 2

      課本劇形式完全符合人教版等英語教材的特點。課本中有大量的故事、對話,信息量大,牽涉面廣,非常適宜改編成課本劇進行表演。筆者在教授PEP8 Unit1How tall are you?時,單元重點要求學生學會詢問身高、年齡、體重、大小等,難點是這些形容詞的比較級,如何突出重點,突破難點,單靠教師講解語法,背誦課文,問幾個問題,造幾個句子,同學們似乎仍然難以消化,靈活運用。為此,我依據(jù)單元內(nèi)容,整合了主要單詞和重點句型,通過搜索,編纂了以“Mr.Giraffe and Miss Goat”為題的小劇本,長頸鹿個子高,能輕而易舉地吃到了公園圍墻外樹上的嫩葉,而小山羊雖個子矮卻能鉆進圍墻的小洞里吃園子里的嫩草,兩人互相嘲諷,比高矮的優(yōu)劣,爭得面紅耳赤之時,大象出面相勸,以一句“Every dog has its day.”糾正了兩人的錯誤認識,他們互相道歉認錯并彼此互換了食物,依舊是好朋友。(詳見附頁)

      該劇本道具簡單,操作方便,內(nèi)容豐富有趣,具有啟發(fā)性,詞匯﹑句型均來源于課本,難度適中,學生演得繪聲繪色,津津有味,教學重難點在同學們歡聲笑語的表演當中不知不覺地被攻克了。四﹑表演英語課本劇的意義

      第一,小學英語是入門教學,激發(fā)學生學習英語的興趣是首位的。小學生活潑好動,他們喜歡表演,愛看表演,課本劇把教材內(nèi)容以戲劇的形式表現(xiàn)出來,學生愛看、愛學、愛演,能夠激發(fā)學習英語的動機,使學生從羞于開口逐漸轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)楦矣陂_口﹑樂于開口。

      第二,語言的最大功能在于交際,學習英語的最終目的不是取得高分,而是會使用這種語言,具備良好的交際能力。教師應(yīng)當創(chuàng)設(shè)各種模擬的或真實的語言情景,讓學生在情景里練習各種交際活動。課本劇表演是訓練學生運用英語進行交際的良好方式之一,使學生在表演英語中學會使用英語,在交際中掌握語言。

      第三,教材的單元內(nèi)容往往只有簡單的幾句,以此為線索,學生在老師的幫助下,利用教材等課內(nèi)外資源,自由發(fā)揮想象力、創(chuàng)造力,編輯一個較完整的課本劇劇本,能夠充分挖掘?qū)W生的創(chuàng)造力,增強寫作創(chuàng)作能力,加強對課本知識的理解和運用,提高學生的英語閱讀水平,積累口語交際所需的詞匯量和句型等語 3

      第四,在排演英語課本劇的過程中,學生無論成績好壞,都可以找到適合自己的角色,在活動中互相切磋,互相幫助,取長補短,從而增強了學習的自信心,提高了表達能力、表演能力、合作能力和調(diào)控能力等綜合素質(zhì)。

      第五,編排英語課本劇對授課教師也是一個全新的挑戰(zhàn),以此提高英語教師的專業(yè)知識和教研能力,積累教學資源和校本英語課程,受益的不僅是學生,也有老師和學校,達到教學相長的目的?!窘Y(jié)束語】

      新課改,新課標,新教材,就如同一雙新鞋,我們不能穿著新鞋,走著老的套路,應(yīng)當穿新鞋,走新路,改變傳統(tǒng)觀念,敢于寓教于樂,敢于讓學生玩中演,演中學,敢于突破教材,創(chuàng)造性地有效使用和處理教材。

      摘要

      課本劇本身具有形象直觀、貼近生活、喜聞樂見等多種特征,在小學英語教學中采取課本劇的模式,是符合小學生的心理和生理特點的。課本劇以輕松愉悅語言環(huán)境為背景,以特定的主題為框架,通過生動形象的語言和動作,向?qū)W生呈現(xiàn)知識的同時,又能充分的鍛煉學生自信心、創(chuàng)造力和表現(xiàn)力,塑造他們樂觀、合作、積極向上的人格。本文旨在探討小學英語課本劇教學模式的優(yōu)勢及執(zhí)行過程中需要注意的問題。

      關(guān)鍵詞:小學英語教學 課本劇模式 創(chuàng)造力 合作

      義務(wù)階段英語課程的目的是:激發(fā)學生學習英語的興趣,培養(yǎng)他們的英語學習的積極態(tài)度,是他們建立初步的學習英語的自信心,培養(yǎng)一定的語感和良好的語音、語調(diào)基礎(chǔ),使他們形成初步用英語進行簡單的日常交流的能力,為進一步的學習打下基礎(chǔ)。結(jié)合《標準》的要求,筆者提出了在小學英語教學中進行課本劇模式的研究。誠然,課本劇模式應(yīng)用于英語教學已不是被首次提出。筆者認為,所謂英語課本劇,即英語學習者,在英語教師的指導(dǎo)下,以教室為劇場,以課本劇表演為依托,圍繞課文內(nèi)容,形成主題鮮明、重點突出、言行風趣的表演的教學模式。把課本劇表演在英語學科教學中推廣開來,定能收到不同凡響的結(jié)果。

      一、英語課本劇表演模式在小學生英語課堂推廣的可行性 1.《標準》為英語課本劇模式教學提供了充分的理論基礎(chǔ)。新《標準》要求英語課程要面向全體學生,注重素質(zhì)教育,其中特別強調(diào)英語興趣課的開設(shè)和利用,以此更好地激發(fā)學生學習英語的興趣,幫助他們建立學習的成就感和自信心,使他們在學習過程中發(fā)展綜合語言運用能力,提高人文素質(zhì),增強實踐能力,培養(yǎng)創(chuàng)新精神。英語課本劇從主題設(shè)和語境設(shè)定,劇本編排,演員的表演等多個方面都能激發(fā)學生的想象力和興趣,啟迪學生的智慧和發(fā)散思維的能力。

      2.小學生的心理和生理特點課本劇模式教學提供了充分的實踐基礎(chǔ)。

      小學生的生理和生理特點決定了其學習知識的內(nèi)在邏輯性。因此這一階段他們主要還是依靠“眼觀”、“耳聽”和行為訓練的方式學習的。心理學的研究也表明:小學生的思維在很大程度上還主要是依靠直觀的、具體的內(nèi)容。長期的教學實踐證明,越是教學手段豐富,課堂活動靈活多樣,學生的積極性就越高,學習的效果也就最明顯,記憶的效果也最好。因此老師們進行教學設(shè)計時,要從保護學生的學習興趣、自尊心、自信心、想象力和創(chuàng)造力出發(fā),激發(fā)集體榮譽感來帶動學校效率的提高。

      “興趣是最好的老師”,是開啟知識寶庫的鑰匙,“哪里沒有興趣,哪里就沒有記憶”,“未見意趣,樂不必學”??課本劇的參與者(主要指演員)是英語學習者(小學生)和教授者(英語學科教師),他們年齡主要集中于8-11歲。該年齡段的學生處于活潑好動,模仿力高,表演欲強的時期。將所學的知識以課本劇的形式呈現(xiàn)出來,符合他們年齡結(jié)構(gòu)和心理特點,學生們也易于理解和接受。有了如此充分的實踐空間,課本劇才有可能在小學英語學習者中有效的開展。

      3.課本劇的內(nèi)在屬性為其在小學英語教學領(lǐng)域的生存提供了有效保證。

      課本劇就其自身而言,從編排、組織到演出,都具有理論基礎(chǔ)深、創(chuàng)造空間廣實踐性高、針對性強、操作靈活、易于評價等特點。而英語作為一門語言,從其語音、語調(diào)和書寫上都會讓學生充滿好奇心和模仿心理。將課本劇的直觀性和英語的“神秘性”結(jié)合起來,讓學生在輕松愉悅的語境里學習好知識,并順勢表達出來是一種高效率、充滿智慧的教與學的方法。任何一種事物只有找到了允許其生長的空間,才能盡情的施展其“才華”,將學習搞得有聲有色,淋漓盡致!

      二、英語課本劇教學模式對角色轉(zhuǎn)變的要求

      1、教師角色“導(dǎo)演化”和學生角色“演員化”的轉(zhuǎn)變 課本劇單從劇本人物的角度來看,少不了導(dǎo)演和演員,而英語課本劇中的導(dǎo)演和演員自然而然就是英語教師和學生了。

      任何一個好的劇本都少不了一個好的導(dǎo)演。在課本劇模式里,教師“傳道授業(yè)”的角色以“導(dǎo)演’身份體現(xiàn)出來。在任何一個課本劇表演之前都要匯聚多方的力量,英語老師則要發(fā)揮其領(lǐng)導(dǎo)作用,設(shè)定課本劇的主題、規(guī)范表演的語境和表演的主要內(nèi)容,然后“演員們”才能自由的發(fā)揮和創(chuàng)造。期間老師應(yīng)該避免犯了“統(tǒng)一化”和“格式化”的錯誤,要充分尊重學生在主題規(guī)定的范圍內(nèi)創(chuàng)造性思維的能力,體現(xiàn)以生為本的教育教學理念和素質(zhì)教育的,充分挖掘?qū)W生的潛力。必要的時候老師可以參與進來課本劇的表演過程,與學生打成一片,縮小距離感,讓每一位學生樂在其中,學在其中。

      演員是直接面向觀眾,將成果呈現(xiàn)給觀眾的人,所以在演員的安排上要充分的體現(xiàn)公平合理和全民參與性。每一個孩子都有優(yōu)點,要爭取全體同學的意見,讓每個同學都能發(fā)揮能力,展現(xiàn)自我,實現(xiàn)超越。這就需要老師在教學構(gòu)成中善于觀察、分析、引導(dǎo)和鼓勵學生了。老師把課本劇的主題告訴學生小組,小組根據(jù)自己寫的課本劇進行排練。能力好的同學既要當導(dǎo)演,還要當演員,這是對學生能力的一個全方位的鍛煉。在排練期間,每一個成員都要用英語來說臺詞,而且做到語言流利、準確。這樣以來每個學生的英語口語能在真實的語言環(huán)境中得到運用、實踐。同時學生們還根據(jù)本組的需要,自做一些簡易、直觀的道具,這也能很大程度的提高學生的動手操作能力,空間想象能力,創(chuàng)新能力。

      2、語言知識與課本劇之間的均衡性把握-評委角色的轉(zhuǎn)變 課本劇之所以被稱為課本劇,是因為它是圍繞課本開展的,是以課本內(nèi)容為活動中心,以課文語境為主線的。它作為一種學生們喜聞樂見的學習模式,在深入學生們喜愛的同時,也會不自覺的走進一個誤區(qū)---為了表演而表演。小學生的表演欲和爭強好勝的心理固然能促使課本劇活動迅速的在課堂中開展,但是時間一長,他們就會產(chǎn)生為了表演而表演的心理,而忽視了對語言知識的掌握。小學生的自制力畢竟是有限的,這就需要老師把握住這個平衡點。那么如何才能把握這個平衡點,一舉兩得-玩好、學好呢?筆者認為這需要有一個好的評價體系。每一個課本劇的表演都要有語言上的要求,形成可供參考的標準。此外,這樣的評價體系需要老師和學生的共同參與,在操作該評價體系的過程中,要充分尊重學生的意見,形成生生互評、師生參評的評價模式。這也就是說教師和學生在扮演好“導(dǎo)演”和“演員”角色的同時,還要承擔起“評委”的角色。

      三、英語課本劇模式操作需要注意的幾點問題 1.教師個人理論素養(yǎng)

      課本劇作為一種較為新穎的教學模式,對教師的專業(yè)素質(zhì)提出了更為高的要求。教師做為課本劇模式操作的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者,除了具有更高的“傳道授業(yè)解惑”本領(lǐng)以外,還要有較高的理論素質(zhì),只有這樣才能將理論用于實踐。因此,英語教師要積極學習先進的教育教學理論和教育教學管理理論,研讀相關(guān)的理論研究成果,分析學生實際,提高個人的專業(yè)素質(zhì)。2.尊重創(chuàng)造、張揚個性

      《標準》指出小學英語課程的基本理念之二是:英語課程要面向全體學生,注重素質(zhì)教育。激發(fā)他們學習英語的興趣,幫助他們建立學習的成就感和自信心,使他們在學習過程中發(fā)展綜合語言運用能力,提高人文素養(yǎng),增強實踐能力,培養(yǎng)創(chuàng)新精神。英語課程在目標設(shè)定、教學過程、課程評價和教學資源的開發(fā)等方面都突出以學生為主體的思想。課程實施應(yīng)成為學生在教師指導(dǎo)下構(gòu)建知識、提高技能、磨礪意志、活躍思維、展現(xiàn)個性、發(fā)展心智和拓展視野的過程。

      課本劇從編寫劇本、編排劇情到劇本表演的過程是學生全線參與的,“仁者見仁,智者見智”的情況肯定是不足為奇的。對于學生提出的不同的觀點老師要用寬容的心理聽取,適當?shù)臅r候要接納他們。通過此過程學生會產(chǎn)生一種被尊重的心理,這種心理更能激發(fā)他們的創(chuàng)造,挖掘他們的個性,使課本劇的達到更好的效果。3.學生的層次劃分

      課本劇不僅對老師提出了新的要求,對學生也提出了更高的要求。畢竟小學生的自我調(diào)控能力是有限的,課本劇的開展也不可能起到一蹴而就的效果。一開始可以有目的性和示范性的開展活動,以層次相對較高的學生做示范、當榜樣。由個人到小組,由高層次到低層次,最后形成全班都參與的課本劇的氛圍。這就需要教師有利的分析學生和學情,分層次,分級別,合理搭配小組成員。當然,這種層次性分配也要在公平、合理、合作、全員的原則指導(dǎo)下展開。只有這些基礎(chǔ)性的工作在遵循教育教學規(guī)律的指導(dǎo)下,才能保證課本劇實施的有效性。4.有效性評價

      課本劇作為一種靈活的教與學的方式,重在使學生掌握知識,而非爭取高低,但是對學生的表現(xiàn)有較合理的評價還是很有必要的,只有這樣才能真正的發(fā)揮評價的有效性和激勵作用。從教學實踐中,筆者總會遇到由于評價不公引起的矛盾。事實上,任何一個評價都應(yīng)該綜合客觀和主觀的因素??陀^因素體現(xiàn)客觀性,平等性;主觀因素則能起到自我反思的作用。因此,筆者認為課本劇課堂應(yīng)該采取生生互評、學生自評和教師評價體系相結(jié)合的評價方式。這樣有了一個好的開始,再有一個好的評價結(jié)尾,有始有終,才能把課本劇的表演搞得完美有成效??偨Y(jié)

      英語課本劇引入教學是一種相對新穎的教學模式,它能夠激發(fā)學生的學習熱情,保持學習興趣,挖掘創(chuàng)造力和想象力,培養(yǎng)合作、互助的意識,鍛煉自信、形成靈活、樂觀開朗樂觀的性格,滿足學生情感的需求。相信課本劇表演對學生的的綜合素質(zhì)和實踐能力的訓練定能影響學生一生,為他們今后的學習打下堅實的基礎(chǔ)。參考文獻

      老虎:(得意極了,做出各種健美展示姿勢)Of course.I’m a great animal.I’m proud of myself.狐貍:(試探地)I heard there was a Chinese called 劉翔.He can cover 110 meters in 10 seconds.Can you?

      狐貍:(打噴嚏)a ti!a ti!(煞有介事地)I admit I’v cheat you for 3 times.But, you know, it’s all for your sake.老虎:(疑惑地)For my sake?

      狐貍:(可憐巴巴地)Yes.To tell the truth, I’m not a normal fox!

      狐貍大搖大擺地走在前面,后面有兩個小嘍羅在敲背。一個小嘍羅敲得重了。狐貍把手一揮。Go!Go!Go!將其趕走。

      狐貍走在臺中,大笑起來:Ah ha ha ha ha!Ah ha ha ha ha!

      期間,夾雜著老虎的哭聲。

      龜 兔 賽 跑

      編情境如下:兔子在路上興高采烈而目無旁人地飛跑(夸張地),踢翻了路中慢爬的烏龜。兔子嘲笑烏龜腿短腳慢,根本沒有資格上路,自吹自己速度無人能比,于是二人打賭比賽。途中兔子洋洋得意,自信打盹也能贏,而烏龜咬牙堅持,最終取得勝利!

      Moral(寓意):Slow but steady win the race!(慢而穩(wěn)獲勝)。The tortoise and the hare Hare(高興地邊跑邊向觀眾打招呼): Hi, I’m Hare!(突然被什么地上東西絆了一下): What’s it?(啥子東西?。浚?/p>

      兩人一起一前一后地跑幾圈,距離越拉越大。(烏龜爬跑時四腿舒展、夸張而緩慢,左前腳向前一劃的同時右后腳向后一曲抬,反之亦然)H:(回頭看,連搖頭)How slow he is!(他好慢?。。?打哈欠)I’m a little tired.(我有點困了)I want to have a nap.(想打下瞌睡)But I’ll still win.(但是我照樣要贏)兔子倚物(樹)而睡了(作鼾聲)。

      (所睡地最好在戲臺一側(cè)的中間,便于后面往回看)

      T:(仍舊吃力而穩(wěn)定地勾腰“爬”著)How tired!(好累啊?。ㄉ蠚獠唤酉職獾兀㊣ must insist!(我一定要堅持!)I can’t give up!(我決不能放棄!)幾圈之后,烏龜已快到終點。

      【旁白:Everyone gabble noisy.】大家七嘴八舌,鬧哄哄的。
