在世界各大洲以及各個國家，社會運動和非政府組織網(wǎng)絡都是聯(lián)合國不可或缺的合作伙伴。中國民間組織國際交流促進會和肯尼亞非政府組織協(xié)調(diào)委員會安排來自中國和非洲各國的非政府組織領(lǐng)導人走到一起，齊聚一堂。你們促進經(jīng)濟可持續(xù)發(fā)展、推進對話、交流成功經(jīng)驗以及在提供政策建議方面采取的創(chuàng)新舉措非?？少F，我對此表示感謝。

當今世界，相互關(guān)聯(lián)和相互依賴程度日益增加，我們面臨許多共同挑戰(zhàn)。有些挑戰(zhàn)是長期以來一直存在的，如極端貧困、性別不平等、艾滋病及踐踏人權(quán)等，有些是新的挑戰(zhàn)，如氣候變化、能源短缺等。

聯(lián)合國正在努力解決這些問題，但只有同合作伙伴緊密配合，我們才能取得成功。你們的工作，無論是宣傳教育還是動手實干，對于改善貧困和弱勢人口的生活都是至關(guān)重要的。你們的干勁和決心是一種催化劑，促使國際社會為實現(xiàn)積極和可持續(xù)的變革而努力。

我希望，此次論壇能夠在推動公民社會參與可持續(xù)發(fā)展方面形成新的理念、戰(zhàn)略和經(jīng)驗。通過支持公民社會提高它們的活動能力，你們不僅能夠影響所服務的對象，而且可以影響那些致力于改善人民生活的各個領(lǐng)域的機構(gòu)和個人。

我堅信，沒有社會方方面面的共同努力，我們根本無法實現(xiàn)任何目標。我們需要世界各地有良知、有抱負的人攜手努力，他們知道每個晚上都有很多孩子忍饑入眠，他們關(guān)注戰(zhàn)爭陰云仍在繼續(xù)蔓延，他們擔憂環(huán)境每天都遭到破壞，他們懂得只有團結(jié)行動起來才能早日實現(xiàn)我們的心愿。
