目前,絕大多數(shù)小學(xué)英語(yǔ)教師把大量的時(shí)間用于備課、課堂教學(xué)、作業(yè)的布置與批改、測(cè)驗(yàn)考試等方面,卻很少花時(shí)間用在學(xué)生的作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)上。大家處理學(xué)生作業(yè)的方法是:逢對(duì)必鉤,有錯(cuò)必叉;或打分?jǐn)?shù),或劃等級(jí)。這種只重結(jié)果,無(wú)法客觀描述學(xué)生知識(shí)掌握情況的做法不僅使學(xué)生對(duì)作業(yè)逐漸失去興趣,而且在很大程度上對(duì)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)積極性、主動(dòng)性、創(chuàng)造性以及學(xué)生的個(gè)性塑造產(chǎn)生了消極的影響。這樣,英語(yǔ)作業(yè)也就失去了課標(biāo)所倡導(dǎo)的意義和作用。
因此,小學(xué)英語(yǔ)作業(yè)除了要適合小學(xué)生心智健康發(fā)展外,還要求小學(xué)英語(yǔ)教師改變傳統(tǒng)的作業(yè)批改方式。我認(rèn)為那些充滿(mǎn)愛(ài)心的、鼓勵(lì)性的評(píng)語(yǔ)能對(duì)學(xué)生的作業(yè)給予恰如其分的評(píng)價(jià)。使他們?cè)诳吹阶约喝〉贸煽?jī)的同時(shí),意識(shí)到存在的缺點(diǎn)和需要努力的方向。
事實(shí)上,作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)與課堂用語(yǔ)一樣也是英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的重要因素,屬于英語(yǔ)教學(xué)中的一個(gè)重要環(huán)節(jié)。它對(duì)于促進(jìn)英語(yǔ)教學(xué),提高教學(xué)質(zhì)量有著積極的作用。奧斯丁(Austin)曾做過(guò)這樣的實(shí)驗(yàn):他把一個(gè)教學(xué)班的學(xué)生隨機(jī)分成兩組,并對(duì)其中一個(gè)組的學(xué)生的作業(yè)全部予以評(píng)分,而對(duì)另一個(gè)組的學(xué)生的作業(yè)只隨機(jī)地抽取一半給予評(píng)分。七周后他發(fā)現(xiàn)兩組學(xué)生的成績(jī)并沒(méi)有什么差別。后來(lái),奧斯丁拓展了這項(xiàng)研究,他把一個(gè)教學(xué)班的學(xué)生同樣隨機(jī)分成兩組,對(duì)其中一組學(xué)生的作業(yè)不加說(shuō)明地判出分?jǐn)?shù),而對(duì)另一組學(xué)生的作業(yè)不僅給出分?jǐn)?shù),而且還加寫(xiě)評(píng)語(yǔ),用以贊揚(yáng)或鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生。經(jīng)過(guò)檢測(cè),加寫(xiě)評(píng)語(yǔ)的學(xué)生的平均成績(jī)高于沒(méi)加評(píng)語(yǔ)的學(xué)生。這個(gè)實(shí)驗(yàn)充分地體現(xiàn)了作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)的重要性。
在我看來(lái),小學(xué)生作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)的重要性主要體現(xiàn)在以下三個(gè)方面:
1.作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)有助于小學(xué)生對(duì)所學(xué)知識(shí)的理解和記憶
語(yǔ)言的學(xué)習(xí)目的在于運(yùn)用。所以教師在寫(xiě)評(píng)語(yǔ)時(shí)應(yīng)盡可能運(yùn)用學(xué)生所學(xué)的英語(yǔ)知識(shí),以促進(jìn)學(xué)生對(duì)學(xué)過(guò)的內(nèi)容進(jìn)行理解和記憶。因此,教師在寫(xiě)評(píng)語(yǔ)時(shí)所使用的語(yǔ)言一方面要盡可能與學(xué)生的語(yǔ)言水平相當(dāng),另一方面要盡可能運(yùn)用學(xué)生所學(xué)過(guò)的表達(dá),以幫助學(xué)生鞏固和運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言。對(duì)于小學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō),由于受到詞匯與表達(dá)的限制,要保證學(xué)生看得懂作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ),我們除了盡可能使用學(xué)生學(xué)過(guò)的語(yǔ)言進(jìn)行評(píng)價(jià)外,還可以采用鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生自覺(jué)使用字典、嘗試雙語(yǔ)評(píng)價(jià)等方法,甚至可以采用中英文混合的評(píng)語(yǔ)表述形式,以充分體現(xiàn)作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)的交際作用。
課堂上教師面對(duì)的是全班同學(xué),有限的教學(xué)時(shí)間內(nèi)不可能逐一對(duì)學(xué)生進(jìn)行評(píng)價(jià);而教師在批改作業(yè)時(shí)所面對(duì)的是每一位學(xué)生的作業(yè),便于因材施教,個(gè)別指導(dǎo)。可以說(shuō),作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)可彌補(bǔ)課堂教學(xué)的不足,是教學(xué)活動(dòng)的延續(xù)。學(xué)生閱讀作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)的過(guò)程就是在真實(shí)語(yǔ)境中理解語(yǔ)言的過(guò)程。教師在評(píng)語(yǔ)中使用學(xué)生學(xué)過(guò)的語(yǔ)言,對(duì)某個(gè)學(xué)生及其作業(yè)的具體情況進(jìn)行的分析或評(píng)價(jià),往往很容易被學(xué)生理解、接受和效仿。事實(shí)證明,在入門(mén)階段,一個(gè)“Good!”或是“Great!”都能讓小學(xué)生模仿老半天。
2.評(píng)語(yǔ)有利于激發(fā)小學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)熱情
美國(guó)人本主義心理學(xué)家馬斯洛曾將人類(lèi)的需要分為五個(gè)層次:生理需要、安全需要、社交需要、尊重需要、自我實(shí)現(xiàn)需要。這表明人類(lèi)除了最基本的生理和安全需要外,最重要的需求就是被尊重的需要。希望得到他人的尊重和認(rèn)可,得到別人肯定性評(píng)價(jià),可以說(shuō)是人的社會(huì)性這一特征的具體表現(xiàn)。被尊重是人性中最本質(zhì)的渴望。因此每個(gè)小學(xué)生都有被尊重、被表?yè)P(yáng)、被認(rèn)可的需要。
需要是學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)行為的動(dòng)力之一,需要的滿(mǎn)足會(huì)直接影響學(xué)生積極性的發(fā)揮。對(duì)于感性認(rèn)識(shí)比較強(qiáng)烈的小學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō)更加如此。如果學(xué)生的作業(yè)得到了老師的表?yè)P(yáng)和鼓勵(lì),他們精神上的需要就得到滿(mǎn)足,他們的學(xué)習(xí)熱情和學(xué)習(xí)積極性就能得到充分的發(fā)揮。教師的評(píng)語(yǔ)恰恰就是實(shí)現(xiàn)這一目的的重要手段之一。優(yōu)秀的評(píng)語(yǔ),就像久旱之后的甘霖,“隨風(fēng)潛入夜,潤(rùn)物細(xì)無(wú)聲”。它能撫慰學(xué)生的心靈,激發(fā)其向上的熱情;優(yōu)秀的評(píng)語(yǔ),就如同漫漫冬日之后的第一聲春雷,它能震撼學(xué)生的靈魂,激發(fā)其內(nèi)在動(dòng)力。反之,不得體的評(píng)語(yǔ)不但對(duì)學(xué)生起不到促進(jìn)和教育作用,反而會(huì)在學(xué)生的內(nèi)心深處投下黑色的陰影,引起學(xué)生的反感和抵觸,從而帶來(lái)不可估量的負(fù)面效應(yīng)。
3.作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)是師生溝通的橋梁
評(píng)語(yǔ)不僅是教學(xué)信息的單向反饋,而且是聯(lián)系和溝通師生感情的橋梁。我們要充分利用作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)增進(jìn)師生間情感的交流。在教師的評(píng)語(yǔ)中學(xué)生能領(lǐng)悟出教師對(duì)他的關(guān)心、信心和責(zé)任心。對(duì)于學(xué)生的作業(yè),教師要真誠(chéng)地寫(xiě)上評(píng)語(yǔ),話(huà)不在多,能引起共鳴就行。評(píng)語(yǔ)可以是教師的贊賞,教師的感受,教師的鼓勵(lì),教師的教誨??同時(shí),還可以讓學(xué)生對(duì)教師也寫(xiě)一些看過(guò)評(píng)語(yǔ)后的反饋信息。這種作業(yè)本就成了師生溝通思想、交流感情、探討生活、教學(xué)相長(zhǎng)的工具。在這樣的氛圍中,師生的情感得到了升華,達(dá)到教與學(xué)兩者的和諧統(tǒng)一。

有些教師認(rèn)為作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)只是對(duì)作業(yè)本身進(jìn)行評(píng)價(jià),其實(shí)這是一種狹隘的觀點(diǎn)。我認(rèn)為作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)不僅僅是對(duì)作業(yè)本身進(jìn)行評(píng)價(jià),也可以包括學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)和生活的各個(gè)方面,它的語(yǔ)言形式更是豐富多彩,千變?nèi)f化,既可以是一個(gè)詞或一個(gè)短語(yǔ),也可以是一句話(huà)、一個(gè)段落或一則格言。根據(jù)不同年級(jí)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)實(shí)際,我認(rèn)為對(duì)于低年級(jí)學(xué)生的評(píng)語(yǔ)可以使用詞或簡(jiǎn)單的短語(yǔ),中年級(jí)的學(xué)生評(píng)語(yǔ)可以選用相對(duì)復(fù)雜的短語(yǔ)、段落,高年級(jí)學(xué)生的評(píng)語(yǔ)可以運(yùn)用段落格言等。例如:

Well done!/Neat and tidy!

Practice makes perfect.Where there is a will, there is a way.當(dāng)然寫(xiě)好評(píng)語(yǔ)的方式和要求還有許多,教師要深入研究學(xué)生的心理特點(diǎn)、思想情緒、個(gè)人愛(ài)好、學(xué)生習(xí)慣及英語(yǔ)水平等,以便言之有理、以理服人。這樣才能寫(xiě)出激勵(lì)人的好評(píng)語(yǔ),不斷促進(jìn)學(xué)生作業(yè)質(zhì)量的提高。通過(guò)作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)真實(shí)地對(duì)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)效果進(jìn)行描述性的評(píng)價(jià),使學(xué)生作業(yè)情況在步入良性循環(huán)的同時(shí),進(jìn)一步加強(qiáng)師生間的交流,促進(jìn)學(xué)生各方面協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展。
同時(shí),教師給學(xué)生的作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ),是對(duì)學(xué)生在校表現(xiàn)以及學(xué)生學(xué)業(yè)情況的科學(xué)評(píng)價(jià)。這就要求評(píng)語(yǔ)科學(xué),切合實(shí)際,起到積極的導(dǎo)向作用。我認(rèn)為,教師給學(xué)生的作業(yè)寫(xiě)評(píng)語(yǔ),應(yīng)注重下面幾個(gè)原則:
1.針對(duì)性原則
所謂“針對(duì)性”,就是教師針對(duì)學(xué)生的階段性差異與個(gè)別差異,進(jìn)行不同的作業(yè)評(píng)價(jià)。針對(duì)不同年級(jí)段的小學(xué)生,使用符合其年齡特點(diǎn)的評(píng)語(yǔ),例如:
(1)對(duì)起始階段的學(xué)生,使用簡(jiǎn)單的表達(dá),如:
Good!
Great!
Super!
Try hard!
(2)對(duì)有一定英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ)的學(xué)生,除了鞏固原有知識(shí)構(gòu)架外,可以適度拓展,鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生自主學(xué)習(xí),培養(yǎng)學(xué)生運(yùn)用工具書(shū)自發(fā)學(xué)習(xí)新知的能力,例如:
Fabulous!Both of your handwriting and spellings are very good.You should do more listening work after class.(3)針對(duì)不同的個(gè)體,我們也要做出恰如其分的評(píng)語(yǔ)。讓優(yōu)等生更上一層樓,使中等生改正缺點(diǎn)、發(fā)揚(yáng)優(yōu)點(diǎn),使暫時(shí)落后的學(xué)生能克服畏懼心理,樹(shù)立信心。對(duì)優(yōu)等生的作業(yè)表?yè)P(yáng)中要有指正,教師可通過(guò)評(píng)語(yǔ)向他們提出更高的要求,例如:
It's good to be correct.It's also important to be creative.Excellent.You haven't made any mistakes, but do try to make your handwriting neater(better).對(duì)中等生的作業(yè)要慎重評(píng)價(jià),在評(píng)語(yǔ)中要多督促,例如:
You had better be more careful!Pay more attention to your handwriting.Your work is quite good except for a few spelling mistakes.對(duì)于學(xué)困生的作業(yè)要多點(diǎn)激勵(lì),在溫和地指出錯(cuò)誤的同時(shí),也要表?yè)P(yáng)他的優(yōu)點(diǎn)進(jìn)行激勵(lì),例如:
I like your handwriting very much, but there are some mistakes here.I am sure you can correct them.You have done your work better this time.I think that nothing is impossible if you work hard.Practice makes perfect.2.客觀性原則
尺有所短,寸有所長(zhǎng),教師評(píng)語(yǔ)要客觀公正。只有真正說(shuō)到學(xué)生心坎上的評(píng)語(yǔ),才會(huì)受到學(xué)生的歡迎,起到積極的教育作用。如果評(píng)語(yǔ)不切實(shí)際,就會(huì)導(dǎo)致一葉障目,不見(jiàn)泰山。不但無(wú)法起到積極的教育作用,相反還會(huì)影響學(xué)生的情緒,給學(xué)生帶來(lái)不必要的心理負(fù)擔(dān)。這樣的評(píng)語(yǔ)就失去了積極的意義。學(xué)困生的作業(yè)如果有進(jìn)步,就應(yīng)得到表?yè)P(yáng)和認(rèn)可,教師可以寫(xiě)上 Your work is much better now.等等之類(lèi)的話(huà)。反之那些優(yōu)等生的作業(yè)如有不足之處,則應(yīng)該提出婉轉(zhuǎn)的批評(píng)。如:I am afraid this time your work isn't good enough.Be more careful next time.總之,我們不能總是用一成不變的眼光去看待學(xué)生的作業(yè)。如果教師對(duì)于學(xué)生的作業(yè)不進(jìn)行客觀的評(píng)價(jià)必將傷害學(xué)生的自尊心,挫傷其學(xué)習(xí)積極性,這樣的情形是任何教師都不希望看到的。
3.鼓勵(lì)性原則
教師的評(píng)語(yǔ)要多鼓勵(lì)、少批評(píng),給學(xué)生以溫馨的開(kāi)導(dǎo)、安慰,帶給學(xué)生以潛移默化的影響,學(xué)生就會(huì)受到教育。諸如“Good!”“Well done!”“You've made some progress.”之類(lèi)的評(píng)語(yǔ),往往最具有鼓勵(lì)性。如果我們純粹因?yàn)橐粋€(gè)學(xué)生的作業(yè)中有各種各樣的錯(cuò)誤就把它一棍子打死,那必然會(huì)挫傷學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)積極性。因此,學(xué)生的作業(yè)即使做得再差,哪怕較之前次只要有一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)進(jìn)步,評(píng)語(yǔ)也應(yīng)該給以肯定。記得有一次我在批改一個(gè)平時(shí)不喜歡記單詞的學(xué)生的作業(yè)時(shí),發(fā)現(xiàn)他的字跡很清晰,便在他的作業(yè)本上寫(xiě)道:“Your handwriting greatly interested me.Well done!”作業(yè)本發(fā)下后,我觀察到他馬上拿出字典翻閱,急切想知道我在他的本子上寫(xiě)了些什么。后來(lái),大伙兒發(fā)現(xiàn)他漸漸地開(kāi)始主動(dòng)記起單詞來(lái)了,雖然速度相對(duì)還是比較慢的,但比原來(lái)要用心得多??梢?jiàn)學(xué)生的每一個(gè)閃光點(diǎn)都可能成為其進(jìn)步的動(dòng)力,老師的鼓勵(lì)就是學(xué)生心田里的陽(yáng)光雨露,它能給學(xué)生的成長(zhǎng)帶去巨大的動(dòng)力。作為小學(xué)英語(yǔ)教師,我們要找到學(xué)困生最希望得到鼓勵(lì)的地方并進(jìn)行放大。“良言一句三冬暖,惡語(yǔ)傷人六月寒。”我們必須要注意多給學(xué)生以鼓勵(lì),但是,鼓勵(lì)也要注意適時(shí),并不是任何情況都能給學(xué)生鼓勵(lì)。特別是錯(cuò)的東西千萬(wàn)不要盲目鼓勵(lì),否則勢(shì)必讓學(xué)生在錯(cuò)誤的鼓勵(lì)中迷失自我,摸不到前進(jìn)的方向。
4.明確性原則
評(píng)語(yǔ)是寫(xiě)給學(xué)生看的,因此評(píng)語(yǔ)的表達(dá)應(yīng)該是清楚明白的。只有這樣的評(píng)語(yǔ),才能讓學(xué)生一看就知道老師期望他干什么,進(jìn)而依照老師的要求去做。有一次我在批改一個(gè)學(xué)生的作業(yè)時(shí)發(fā)現(xiàn)很多地方存在書(shū)寫(xiě)錯(cuò)誤,就寫(xiě)下了如下評(píng)語(yǔ):Your work is not so good.Please rewrite it.第二天該學(xué)生把他自己認(rèn)為已經(jīng)訂正好的作業(yè)本交了上來(lái),我發(fā)現(xiàn)除了通篇作業(yè)重寫(xiě)過(guò),筆記較之以前工整之外,一些拼寫(xiě)錯(cuò)誤基本保持不變。原因就在于該生作業(yè)真正的問(wèn)題并沒(méi)有在評(píng)語(yǔ)中體現(xiàn)出來(lái)。于是我重新寫(xiě)下了這樣的評(píng)語(yǔ):Your handwriting is quite good now, but would you please correct your wrong spellings? 這下學(xué)生從評(píng)語(yǔ)中得到了明確的信息:原來(lái)是一些拼寫(xiě)錯(cuò)誤需要更正!
由此可見(jiàn),教師平時(shí)在批改學(xué)生的作業(yè)時(shí),一定要把其不足之處寫(xiě)清楚,如字跡不夠工整、書(shū)寫(xiě)不夠規(guī)范、拼寫(xiě)錯(cuò)誤過(guò)多等等,對(duì)小學(xué)生出現(xiàn)的錯(cuò)誤,教師還可以提出協(xié)助訂正錯(cuò)誤的方案,如:Please read the dialogue in Page...first.等等。這樣學(xué)生在訂正作業(yè)時(shí)就會(huì)取得事倍功半的結(jié)果,久而久之,還能培養(yǎng)小學(xué)生自主發(fā)現(xiàn)問(wèn)題與解決問(wèn)題的能力。因此,作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)一定要遵循明確性原則。
“高談闊論終覺(jué)淺,情至深處方感人”。教師給學(xué)生作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)寫(xiě)得恰當(dāng),可以鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生積極向上,引導(dǎo)更多的學(xué)生朝著教育教學(xué)目標(biāo)所希望的方向發(fā)展,從而取得較好的教育教學(xué)效果。因此,小學(xué)英語(yǔ)教師要不斷鑄煉書(shū)寫(xiě)作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)的能力水平,把它作為小學(xué)英語(yǔ)形成性評(píng)價(jià)中重要的環(huán)節(jié)、小學(xué)英語(yǔ)教師基本素質(zhì)之一進(jìn)行關(guān)注與訓(xùn)練。http:// 文章來(lái)源:青年教師網(wǎng)
一、研究背景
由于我們的考試制度的關(guān)系,廣大英語(yǔ)教師要花大量的時(shí)間去批改學(xué)生的作業(yè)和試卷。但往往是學(xué)生對(duì)老師的批改幾乎看都不看一眼,只看一下自己的等級(jí)或分?jǐn)?shù)了事,至于自己哪兒出了錯(cuò),卻不去深究。其實(shí),學(xué)生做作業(yè)的過(guò)程就是一個(gè)學(xué)習(xí)的過(guò)程,做作業(yè)的“報(bào)酬”就是學(xué)到一些東西。如果我們不能使學(xué)生在作業(yè)中得到教益的話(huà),那么就失去了做作業(yè)的意義。
隨著教學(xué)理念的更新,英語(yǔ)作業(yè)的批改不應(yīng)該再是簡(jiǎn)單的等級(jí)和對(duì)或錯(cuò)了,對(duì)學(xué)生的作業(yè)應(yīng)當(dāng)進(jìn)行科學(xué)的評(píng)價(jià)。為此進(jìn)行英語(yǔ)作業(yè)評(píng)價(jià)的課題方案。
二、理論依據(jù)和研究原則
“發(fā)現(xiàn)教學(xué)理論”,“暗示教學(xué)理論”,“發(fā)展性教學(xué)理論”,“創(chuàng)新教育理論”等教育學(xué)心理學(xué)和現(xiàn)代教學(xué)論的一般原理是該課題研究的教育學(xué)心理學(xué)理論。
1、循序漸進(jìn)的原則
無(wú)論做什么事情都不可能一蹴而就,因此教師在評(píng)價(jià)學(xué)生作業(yè)時(shí),開(kāi)始不能要求過(guò)高,而要由易到難,循序漸進(jìn),使學(xué)生意識(shí)到在做作業(yè)的過(guò)程中,自己有收獲,在不斷進(jìn)步,以此激發(fā)學(xué)生的求知欲和學(xué)習(xí)興趣。
2、因人而異的原則
在先進(jìn)的教學(xué)理念的推動(dòng)下,“分層次教學(xué)”已經(jīng)得到了廣泛推廣,對(duì)學(xué)生作業(yè)的評(píng)價(jià)也應(yīng)該要體現(xiàn)“層次”;堅(jiān)持“因人而異”的原則。有的學(xué)生基礎(chǔ)好,教師應(yīng)要求這樣的學(xué)生做作業(yè)時(shí)積極探索、努力思考,在作業(yè)中培養(yǎng)自己的創(chuàng)新精神和實(shí)踐能力;而對(duì)另一部分基礎(chǔ)較差的學(xué)生,評(píng)價(jià)時(shí)要求就要與基礎(chǔ)好的學(xué)生區(qū)分開(kāi),要求只能逐步提高,一次比一次上一個(gè)臺(tái)階。
3、多表?yè)P(yáng)、少批評(píng)的原則
周弘教授的“賞識(shí)教育”已經(jīng)深入千家萬(wàn)戶(hù),得到了廣泛的運(yùn)用。教師在評(píng)價(jià)作業(yè)時(shí),要充分肯定學(xué)生的閃光點(diǎn)和進(jìn)步,及時(shí)的給予正面的鼓勵(lì)和表?yè)P(yáng),從而使學(xué)生認(rèn)識(shí)到自己的長(zhǎng)處,看到自己的進(jìn)步,獲得成就感,增強(qiáng)自信心。對(duì)于學(xué)生作業(yè)的評(píng)價(jià),要以激勵(lì)為主,少用批評(píng)性語(yǔ)言。
三、方法和措施
1、多用“A”,少用“B、C”
只要學(xué)生的作業(yè)認(rèn)真做了,只要學(xué)生的作業(yè)有了進(jìn)步,哪怕是一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)的進(jìn)步,老師都不能忽略,要批上一個(gè)“A”,并且寫(xiě)明為什么作業(yè)會(huì)得到“A”,并鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生朝這個(gè)方向發(fā)展。學(xué)生需要鼓勵(lì),更需要表?yè)P(yáng)。當(dāng)老師表?yè)P(yáng)了他,他的心中會(huì)非常愉快和自豪,他會(huì)把老師的表?yè)P(yáng)高興地告訴家長(zhǎng),讓他們也享受自己成功的喜悅,同時(shí),學(xué)生也會(huì)以此為起點(diǎn),逐漸對(duì)英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)產(chǎn)生興趣。
2、妙用符號(hào),學(xué)生糾錯(cuò)
教師批改作業(yè)不應(yīng)該僅僅只是一個(gè)評(píng)判手段,在大多數(shù)情況下,更應(yīng)該是一種教學(xué)手段。通常教師習(xí)慣于采用“√”“×”符號(hào),或采用“A”“B”“C”等級(jí)制對(duì)作業(yè)情況做出簡(jiǎn)單的評(píng)價(jià),但這樣做并不能給學(xué)生傳遞準(zhǔn)確的、廣泛的信息。如果學(xué)生獲得“×”的信息反饋,往往只知道錯(cuò)了,但不知道為什么錯(cuò)?錯(cuò)在哪里?這就不利于他們改正作業(yè)的錯(cuò)誤。因此,我們將J.A.布賴(lài)特和G..P.麥格萊葛提出的“符號(hào)”引入英語(yǔ)作業(yè)的批改中。

3、使用激勵(lì)性評(píng)語(yǔ)
1976年奧斯丁的實(shí)驗(yàn)告訴我們中小教育中普遍存在的單純的等級(jí)評(píng)價(jià)已不太適合評(píng)價(jià)的需要,而對(duì)學(xué)生作業(yè)進(jìn)行激勵(lì)性的評(píng)價(jià)更加有效果。教師在寫(xiě)作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)時(shí)應(yīng)做到豐富多彩,避免單調(diào)枯燥,使學(xué)生日久生厭。
A.一個(gè)詞:Great!/ Perfect!/Good!/Wonderful!/Correct!/Excellent!/ Nice!B.短語(yǔ):Quite right!/Very good!/Well done!/ Neat and tidy!C.句子:That's OK!/What a good job you have done!/Now you can do better than before./ Your handwriting is excellent!/Keep it up./Your English will become better if you work harder.D.段落:Although you have not been successful, you have done better than ever.Success belongs to the diligent learners.I am sure you will make more and more progress if you keep on practicing your spoken English.E.格言:Practice makes perfect./Where there is a will, there is a way./ A willful man will have his way./ Failure is the only highroad to success./ Diligence is the mother of good fortune./ He who does not advance falls backward./ The water wears away stones.作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)要符合學(xué)生的實(shí)際水平,教師應(yīng)使用學(xué)生能看得懂的英語(yǔ)來(lái)寫(xiě),運(yùn)用的詞匯和語(yǔ)法不能過(guò)高或過(guò)低于學(xué)生的現(xiàn)有水平,能夠起到“跳一跳,摘到桃子”的作用,也就是說(shuō)學(xué)生通過(guò)上下文的猜測(cè)或借助于詞典就能理解。
四、預(yù)期目標(biāo)
評(píng)價(jià)作業(yè)的目的是為了得到反饋信息,以便調(diào)節(jié)教學(xué)活動(dòng),做到教學(xué)互動(dòng)、教學(xué)相長(zhǎng),因此,教師應(yīng)通過(guò)英語(yǔ)作業(yè)評(píng)價(jià)方式和方法的改變,提高學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的興趣,使學(xué)生從被動(dòng)的學(xué)習(xí)局面下走出來(lái),積極思考,主動(dòng)的完成作業(yè),并感受作業(yè)所帶來(lái)的成功與喜悅,在富有個(gè)性的學(xué)習(xí)中快樂(lè)的成長(zhǎng)。
五、研究對(duì)象 以南郊中學(xué)初一(4)班為實(shí)驗(yàn)班,初一(6)班為對(duì)照班。
六、研究步驟
1.準(zhǔn)備階段(2004年9月到2004年10月)
① 成立課題級(jí),制定方案和計(jì)劃。
② 宣傳新課題思想,學(xué)習(xí)理論依據(jù)。
2.實(shí)驗(yàn)研究階段(2004年10月到2006年7月)
按照方案和計(jì)劃開(kāi)展實(shí)驗(yàn)教學(xué)研究,加強(qiáng)集體備課,統(tǒng)一教師備課過(guò)程對(duì)作業(yè)的評(píng)價(jià)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。在研究過(guò)程中要及時(shí)總結(jié),積累資料,寫(xiě)出階段性總結(jié)及召開(kāi)階段總結(jié)交流會(huì)。
3.總結(jié)階段(2006年8月到2006年10月)
系統(tǒng)分析整理資料,總結(jié)、鑒定實(shí)驗(yàn)成果,撰寫(xiě)課題研究總結(jié)及有關(guān)論文。

Well done!It’s excellent you haven't made any mistakes, but it’s much better to be creative.而對(duì)那些中等程度的學(xué)生,就要抓住優(yōu)點(diǎn),用略為夸張的感嘆句進(jìn)行肯定和贊揚(yáng),順帶提出希望,這樣效果較好。例如,對(duì)字跡工整、認(rèn)真但作業(yè)卻有錯(cuò),或是作業(yè)基本正確但書(shū)寫(xiě)不夠工整、認(rèn)真的學(xué)生,筆者的批語(yǔ)是What a beautiful handwriting!If only be more careful!Well done!But would you please improve your handwriting?
這類(lèi)評(píng)語(yǔ)富有感情,能打動(dòng)學(xué)生的心,而且他們認(rèn)為老師已看到且承認(rèn)了他們的努力進(jìn)步,為獲得更多表?yè)P(yáng),通常會(huì)努力做得更好。
2.真誠(chéng)的鼓勵(lì)性的評(píng)語(yǔ)
心理學(xué)認(rèn)為,每個(gè)人都有被賞識(shí)的欲望。通過(guò)賞識(shí)、鼓勵(lì),一旦潛在的積極向上的心理動(dòng)機(jī)被激發(fā)出來(lái),他們具有的潛能將如火山噴發(fā)一樣,淋漓盡致地發(fā)揮出他們的本色。學(xué)生更是如此,他們更需要受到不斷地鼓勵(lì),以展開(kāi)奮飛的翅膀,增加前進(jìn)的信心。筆者經(jīng)常會(huì)在學(xué)生的作業(yè)本上寫(xiě)這樣的評(píng)語(yǔ):
You have made great progress!Good job!
Congratulations!I wish you success in the coming examination.等等。
尤其是學(xué)習(xí)后進(jìn)生,經(jīng)常得到老師真誠(chéng)的關(guān)愛(ài),學(xué)生會(huì)產(chǎn)生一種積極向上的情感動(dòng)力,促其奮進(jìn)。因此寫(xiě)評(píng)語(yǔ)時(shí),要客觀、公正地對(duì)待每個(gè)學(xué)生,更應(yīng)該注意他們的點(diǎn)滴進(jìn)步,及時(shí)給予鼓勵(lì),并保持一定的連續(xù)性。例如:
I have found your handwriting is better than before.Thank you!
Don't lose heart!Failure is the mother of success.Where there is a will, there is a way.No pains, no gains.I hope you will make more
progress in the future.I’m so glad to see your work has improved!You will catch up with others soon!
3.靈活的啟發(fā)型的評(píng)語(yǔ)。
對(duì)于一些重要問(wèn)題和學(xué)生經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)的錯(cuò)誤,我們也可以加一些提示型的評(píng)語(yǔ)。筆者經(jīng)常利用作業(yè)批語(yǔ),為學(xué)生搭建“梯子”,點(diǎn)燃他們的創(chuàng)新火花,誘發(fā)他們的創(chuàng)新思維: You are different from the others, excellent!I don’t know the way you put forward, I should from you.You are so clever, your answer is better than mine.等等,這樣能充分調(diào)動(dòng)學(xué)生主動(dòng)自覺(jué)學(xué)習(xí)的積極性,引導(dǎo)他們自主增強(qiáng)探索學(xué)習(xí)的能力。
4.運(yùn)用格言(諺語(yǔ))警句,拓展學(xué)生語(yǔ)言實(shí)踐
恰當(dāng)給學(xué)生的作業(yè)寫(xiě)評(píng)語(yǔ),會(huì)使學(xué)生的內(nèi)心油然而生一種希望, 進(jìn)而產(chǎn)生一種動(dòng)力,從而感到自身的價(jià)值所在。如:
Where there is a will,there is a way.(有志者事竟成。)Actions speak louder than words.(說(shuō)到不如做到。)
Today must borrow nothing of tomorrow.(今日事今日畢。)Never put off what must be done today till tomorrow.(不把今天的事拖到明天。)Knowledge is power.(知識(shí)就是力量。)With time and practice the leaf the mulberry becomes satin.(只要功夫深,鐵錘磨成針。)Time flies.(光陰似箭。)Idle young , needy age.A young idler, an old beggar./An idle youth, a needy age.(少壯不努力,老大徒傷悲。)類(lèi)似這些簡(jiǎn)單明了的格言(諺語(yǔ))警句,不僅會(huì)給學(xué)生以啟迪,還可幫助學(xué)生鞏固所學(xué)知識(shí),讓學(xué)生在不知不覺(jué)中都能恰當(dāng)準(zhǔn)確的運(yùn)用它們,從而達(dá)到提高學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)交際能力和書(shū)面表達(dá)能力。
5.委婉的勸勉式的評(píng)語(yǔ)
在這類(lèi)評(píng)語(yǔ)中,教師要用很委婉的語(yǔ)氣,提出自己的看法或建議,并指出今后如何復(fù)習(xí)鞏固所學(xué)知識(shí),如何做各種類(lèi)型的作業(yè)。常用評(píng)語(yǔ)有:
Could you spend more time reading and reciting the text? Please use the sentence structure that we have learned in this unit.三、平等地與學(xué)生開(kāi)展評(píng)論性的討論
我們要尊重學(xué)生的個(gè)性、人格和創(chuàng)新精神。教師要以學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)伙伴、益友身份加入學(xué)生的自主學(xué)習(xí)中,而不要總以“長(zhǎng)者”的姿態(tài)居高臨下地指手畫(huà)腳,以教訓(xùn)的語(yǔ)氣評(píng)頭論足;要以平等的態(tài)度與學(xué)生開(kāi)展評(píng)論性的討論,營(yíng)造平等、自由的學(xué)術(shù)氣氛,讓學(xué)生與教師能在作業(yè)和評(píng)語(yǔ)中自由地交流思想,讓學(xué)生擁有創(chuàng)造性地運(yùn)用所學(xué)知識(shí)的機(jī)會(huì)和自由。例如:

總之,一個(gè)恰當(dāng)而適時(shí)的評(píng)語(yǔ),不僅是對(duì)學(xué)生作業(yè)完成質(zhì)量的評(píng)價(jià),更是給了他們一份鼓勵(lì)、一份信任,讓他們對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)時(shí)刻充滿(mǎn)信心與興趣,并積極努力、勇往直前。正如人們常說(shuō):“教師的語(yǔ)言如鑰匙,能打開(kāi)學(xué)生心靈的窗戶(hù);如火炬,能照亮學(xué)生的未來(lái);如種子,能深埋在學(xué)生的心里?!币虼宋覀円獙W(xué)會(huì)提高自己的業(yè)務(wù)能力,在語(yǔ)言上精雕細(xì)琢,在形式上力求和諧統(tǒng)一,爭(zhēng)取讓評(píng)語(yǔ)創(chuàng)造出一種意境。這樣,學(xué)生會(huì)從教師評(píng)語(yǔ)的字里行間中受到美的熏陶,在潛移默化中陶冶自己情操,凈化自己的心靈,從內(nèi)心深處贊賞、欣賞每一位學(xué)生,通過(guò)作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)加強(qiáng)師生間的交流,促進(jìn)學(xué)生各方面協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展,從而達(dá)到教育、教學(xué)的效果。A.Good!Marvous!Pleasant!B.Well done!Neat and tidy!Well written!C.Well done!You have used a lot of what we have learnt in this passage.Glad to know you are interested in English study now.D.What good work you have done!How carefully you’ve worked!
二、及時(shí)建議、忠告性評(píng)語(yǔ)
教師應(yīng)及時(shí)批改學(xué)生的作業(yè),以便及時(shí)了解他們的學(xué)習(xí)效果。學(xué)生也就能夠及時(shí)得到老師的幫助和指導(dǎo)。再者,教師要及時(shí)應(yīng)用學(xué)生新學(xué)到的詞匯和語(yǔ)法知識(shí)來(lái)為學(xué)生寫(xiě)評(píng)語(yǔ)。這樣教師也就能夠及時(shí)幫助學(xué)生鞏固知識(shí),教師的評(píng)語(yǔ)也才更有意義。如:

作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)是一種作業(yè)批閱的方式,也是英語(yǔ)教學(xué)法中的一個(gè)重要環(huán)節(jié),它便于學(xué)生更加清楚地了解自己作業(yè)中的優(yōu)缺點(diǎn),有利于溝通師生之間的情感,調(diào)動(dòng)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)積極性,促進(jìn)學(xué)生養(yǎng)成良好的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣。首先我們從奧斯丁的兩次實(shí)驗(yàn)來(lái)看一看作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)的重要性。
1974年奧斯丁(Austin)做了這樣一個(gè)實(shí)驗(yàn)。他把高中教學(xué)班的學(xué)生隨機(jī)分成兩組,并對(duì)其中一個(gè)組的學(xué)生的作業(yè)全部予以評(píng)分,而對(duì)另一個(gè)組的學(xué)生的作業(yè)只隨機(jī)地抽取一半給予評(píng)分。七周后,他發(fā)現(xiàn)兩組學(xué)生的成績(jī)并沒(méi)有什么差別。
1976年奧斯丁拓展了這項(xiàng)研究。他把高中教學(xué)班的學(xué)生同樣隨機(jī)分成兩組,對(duì)其中一組學(xué)生的作業(yè)不加說(shuō)明地判出分?jǐn)?shù),而對(duì)另一組學(xué)生的作業(yè)不僅給出分?jǐn)?shù),而且還加寫(xiě)評(píng)語(yǔ),用以贊揚(yáng)或鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生。后來(lái)經(jīng)過(guò)檢測(cè),加寫(xiě)評(píng)語(yǔ)的學(xué)生的平均成績(jī)高于沒(méi)加評(píng)語(yǔ)的學(xué)生。
這兩次實(shí)驗(yàn)顯而易見(jiàn)地說(shuō)明了中小教育中普遍存在的單純的分?jǐn)?shù)評(píng)價(jià)已不太適合評(píng)價(jià)的需要。它只是對(duì)知識(shí)內(nèi)容進(jìn)行評(píng)價(jià),而對(duì)學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)知識(shí)、完成作業(yè)過(guò)程中相伴而生的目的、心態(tài)、方法等并沒(méi)有直接評(píng)價(jià)。相反對(duì)學(xué)生作業(yè)的短語(yǔ)評(píng)價(jià)的做法則更加有效果。所以教師應(yīng)該改變傳統(tǒng)的遇對(duì)必鉤(√),有錯(cuò)必叉(×)或打分?jǐn)?shù),或分等級(jí)的批改作業(yè)的方式,而采取在作業(yè)本上標(biāo)出正誤符號(hào)后,用贊揚(yáng)、鼓勵(lì)、期盼、惋惜等情感語(yǔ)言代替學(xué)生見(jiàn)慣不驚的分?jǐn)?shù)標(biāo)記。那么如何寫(xiě)好作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)呢?本人就教學(xué)中的一些體驗(yàn)談一談看法。
一、作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)要符合學(xué)生的實(shí)際水平
評(píng)語(yǔ)是寫(xiě)給學(xué)生看的,所以一方面評(píng)語(yǔ)要使用學(xué)生能看得懂的英語(yǔ)來(lái)寫(xiě),所使用的詞匯和語(yǔ)法不能過(guò)高或過(guò)低于學(xué)生的現(xiàn)有水平,要切合學(xué)生的實(shí)際水平,符合學(xué)生的個(gè)性心理發(fā)展需要;另一方面要做到循序漸進(jìn),由易到難,能夠起到跳一跳,摘到桃子的作用,也就是說(shuō)學(xué)生通過(guò)上下文的猜測(cè)或借助于詞典就能理解。例如:
It's very clever of you to do so.It's nice of you to write this way.Wonderful!Your English is very good and your answers are correct.I'm sure you can do your work better next time.You've done a good job.You are doing wonderfully!
You can do better now than you did before.二、作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)要有助于學(xué)生對(duì)所學(xué)知識(shí)的理解和記憶
語(yǔ)言的學(xué)習(xí)在于運(yùn)用,所以教師在寫(xiě)評(píng)語(yǔ)時(shí)應(yīng)運(yùn)用所學(xué)的知識(shí),以使學(xué)生能加強(qiáng)理解和記憶。例如: You have improved a lot.I am proud of you.That's great.Please never give up trying.Success comes through hard work and constant effort.No pains,no gains.I hope you will make more progress in the future.Whatgood work!You are the pride of our class.Work harder,and you will make more progress.The harder you work,the sooner you will improve.Come on!I am sure you will catch up soon.利用所學(xué)過(guò)的短語(yǔ)、句型和時(shí)態(tài)給學(xué)生寫(xiě)評(píng)語(yǔ)就能取得很好效果,可以幫助學(xué)生鞏固和運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言。
三、評(píng)語(yǔ)要有利于激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)熱情
學(xué)生有被尊重、被表?yè)P(yáng)、被認(rèn)可的需要。在寫(xiě)作業(yè)時(shí),希望得到教師的表?yè)P(yáng)和鼓勵(lì),這是學(xué)生精神上的需
要。如果精神上的需要長(zhǎng)久得不到滿(mǎn)足,他們就會(huì)產(chǎn)生消極的思想。因此,需要是學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)行為的動(dòng)力之
一。需要的滿(mǎn)足直接影響學(xué)生積極性的發(fā)揮,要充分發(fā)揮學(xué)生的積極性,對(duì)學(xué)生進(jìn)行有效地鼓勵(lì)是教育的策略之一。激勵(lì)就是激發(fā)鼓勵(lì)。一般地講,激勵(lì)就是以某種刺激為引誘,調(diào)動(dòng)人的主動(dòng)性、積極性和創(chuàng)造性。教師的評(píng)語(yǔ)就是刺激學(xué)生的誘因。學(xué)生有不同的性格,有不同的需要,那么激勵(lì)的方法也不同。教師針對(duì)不同的學(xué)生及其作業(yè),在不同場(chǎng)合所作的評(píng)語(yǔ)可激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)熱情,讓優(yōu)等生更上一層樓,使中等生改正缺點(diǎn)、發(fā)揚(yáng)優(yōu)點(diǎn),使暫時(shí)落后的學(xué)生能克服畏懼心理,樹(shù)立信心。所以對(duì)優(yōu)等生的作業(yè)表?yè)P(yáng)中要有指正,教師可通過(guò)評(píng)語(yǔ)向他們提出更高要求。例如:
It's good to be correct.It's also important to be creative.Excellent.You haven't made any mistakes,but do try to make your handwriting neater.對(duì)中等生的作業(yè)要慎重評(píng)價(jià),在評(píng)語(yǔ)中要多督促。例如:
You had better be more careful!Pay more attention to the tenses.Your work is quite good
except for a few spelling mis-takes.Keep it up.Remember that little by little one goes far.對(duì)于差生的作業(yè)要多點(diǎn)激勵(lì),溫和地指出錯(cuò)誤的同時(shí),也要指出他的優(yōu)點(diǎn)以資鼓勵(lì)。例如:
The structure of the composition is good,buttry to make sure the word order in your sentences is correct.Lily,I like your handwriting very much although there are some mistakes here.I am sure you can correct them.Bill,I think you can do better if you work harder.Your answers show you have real ability in the course,and you are developing increasing depth of thought and clarity of expression in your written work.However there are some grammar mistakes in the essay/here.Your work has improved.I am sure there is nothing too difficult for us to learn.You have done your work better this time.I believe that nothing is impossible as long as you work hard.Practice makes perfect.四、作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)要能體現(xiàn)師生感情的交流
作業(yè)不僅是師生間教學(xué)信息的相互反饋,而且是聯(lián)系和溝通師生感情的橋梁。在作業(yè)中教師可以覺(jué)察到學(xué)生的思想和自主學(xué)習(xí)情況,從評(píng)語(yǔ)中學(xué)生也能領(lǐng)悟出教師對(duì)他是否關(guān)心、有信心和責(zé)任心。因此我們要充分利用作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)加深師生情感交流。評(píng)語(yǔ)言辭懇切,切中要害;或熱情鼓勵(lì)、或委婉告誡……始終使學(xué)生保持清醒的頭腦、強(qiáng)烈的興趣、昂揚(yáng)的斗志,激勵(lì)并堅(jiān)定他們青出于藍(lán)而勝于藍(lán)的信念。通過(guò)評(píng)語(yǔ),教師盡可把祝福、問(wèn)候、關(guān)切、激勵(lì)、真誠(chéng)、信任之情化作甘甜的泉水,去滋潤(rùn)學(xué)生的心田,引起師生教與學(xué)的共鳴,達(dá)到教與學(xué)兩者的和諧與統(tǒng)一。
例如在節(jié)假日或某學(xué)生生日前,教師可以給予學(xué)生一些祝愿語(yǔ):
●Merry Christmas!/Happy New Year!/Enjoy yourself in the coming holidays!/Happy birthday1/Many happy returns!
又如某個(gè)學(xué)生因?yàn)樯∪闭n作業(yè)完成得很糟糕,教師就要說(shuō)一些安慰的話(huà):
●Lingling,you have made a few mistakes in your work.I know that is because you were absent...I think it is only natural.Don't lose heart.I am ready to help you.再如某個(gè)學(xué)生因?yàn)榭荚嚥患案袷バ判?,教師就要說(shuō)一些激勵(lì)的話(huà):
●Iam sorry to hear that you didn't pass the exam.I hope you are not too disappointed.I want to cheer you up with the sayingFailure is the mother of success.I nope to see much improvement in your future studies.五、作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)形式要豐富多彩
作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)不僅僅是對(duì)作業(yè)本身進(jìn)行評(píng)價(jià),也可以包括學(xué)習(xí)和生活的各個(gè)方面,它的語(yǔ)言形式更是豐富多彩,千變?nèi)f化,既可以是一個(gè)詞或一個(gè)短語(yǔ),也可以是一句話(huà)、一個(gè)段落或一則格言。例如:
A一個(gè)詞:
●Great!/Perfect!/Good!/Wonderful!/Correct!/Excellent!
B.短語(yǔ):
●Well done!/Neat and tidy!
C.句型:
●That's OK!
●What a good job you have done!
●Now you can do better than before.●Your handwriting is excellent!
●Keep it up.●Your English will become better if you work harder.D.段落:
●Although you have not been successful,you have done better than ever.Success belongs to the diligent learners.I am sure you will make more and more progress if you keep on practising your spoken English.E.格言:
●Practice makes perfect.●Where there is a will,there is a way.●Awillfulman willhave his way.●Failure is the only highroad to success.●Diligence is the mother of good fortune/good luck.●He who does not advance falls backward.●The water wears away stones.當(dāng)然寫(xiě)好評(píng)語(yǔ)的方式和要求還有許多,教師不僅要不斷提高自己的英語(yǔ)書(shū)面表達(dá)能力,更重要的是深入研究學(xué)生的心理特點(diǎn)、思想情緒、個(gè)人愛(ài)好、學(xué)生習(xí)慣及英語(yǔ)水平等,以便言之有理、以理服人,這樣才能寫(xiě)出激勵(lì)人的好評(píng)語(yǔ),不斷提高學(xué)生的書(shū)面表達(dá)能力,通過(guò)作業(yè)評(píng)語(yǔ)加強(qiáng)師生間的交流,促進(jìn)學(xué)生各方面協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展。
