      音標與單詞

      音標的學(xué)習(xí)是枯燥的,所以在平時的教學(xué)過程中,要將音標的教學(xué)與單詞的教學(xué)結(jié)合在一起,這樣既可以避免一味的學(xué)習(xí)音標所產(chǎn)生的枯燥感,也可以讓學(xué)生音型結(jié)合,更好地學(xué)習(xí)單詞。但是如何正確的處理好兩者的關(guān)系,做到單詞音標兩不誤。在我實習(xí)的過程中,我發(fā)現(xiàn)在教學(xué)中,應(yīng)盡量做到以下兩點:

      (一)音形結(jié)合,掌握規(guī)律

      教會學(xué)生音標的認讀及拼讀之后,應(yīng)注意培養(yǎng)學(xué)生按照讀音規(guī)則,把單詞的音、形、義聯(lián)系起來迅速反應(yīng)的能力。每次教新詞時,不僅要會發(fā)音、會拼讀,還要與舊詞聯(lián)系,進行一些歸類性的訓(xùn)練。如有位老師教單詞thank時,先讓學(xué)生回憶th發(fā)[θ]的單詞,如出示卡片 讓學(xué)生讀讀,再與th發(fā)[e]的一組卡片 作比較。學(xué)生們不僅漸漸地知道p發(fā)[p],b發(fā)[b],m[m],h[h],還知道sh發(fā)[?]th發(fā)[e]或[θ],ch[t?],ng[?],kn [n],ght[t],ow [o]/[au],ea[i:]/[e]等,用這樣的方法,能培養(yǎng)學(xué)生自覺地把單詞、音標作音、形比較,直至掌握一些規(guī)律,逐步學(xué)會聽音知形、見形知音的本領(lǐng)。這樣的訓(xùn)練,也能培養(yǎng)學(xué)生速記單詞的能力。

      (二)嚴格要求,常抓不懈

      教師在教學(xué)中要做到持之以恒,嚴格要求學(xué)生。不斷正音,不讓語音退化。當(dāng)然,嚴格要求,及時糾音,也應(yīng)和適當(dāng)寬容相結(jié)合,因為每個人的接受能力不同,而且語音學(xué)習(xí)是需要一個過程的,不可能一下就學(xué)得十分標準。起初時,應(yīng)允許把一點“錯誤”逐步標準化。我在教學(xué)中經(jīng)常注意在復(fù)習(xí)環(huán)節(jié)中安插一點時間操練音素,防止回生。平時檢查讀書、背書時也十分重視學(xué)生的發(fā)音。如學(xué)生往往容易把short發(fā)成[?ɑrt] 短音;[?]與[ɑ]不分,a red flag,發(fā)成[red fleg]。由于方言的干擾,學(xué)生常把[?]發(fā)成[au],把[J]發(fā)成[z]等,這就要靠教師經(jīng)常訓(xùn)練,不斷提醒,并及時表揚發(fā)音好的學(xué)生,形成正確發(fā)音的風(fēng)氣。在課文中所出現(xiàn)的連讀,我也利用音標提示學(xué)生,如an English teacher用 引導(dǎo)學(xué)生連讀。還有不完全爆破,如a black cat用括號提示學(xué)生發(fā)正確[bl ?(k)k ? t]。句子的語調(diào)、會話、朗讀的感情,都做到嚴格要求,一絲不茍,學(xué)生在這種訓(xùn)練下,語音才會越來越好。孩子們掌握國際音標后,不僅能順利準確地給單詞標注音標或根據(jù)音標讀準單詞,而且熟練運用后,在聽到讀音或能說出、想起讀音的情況下,就能準確寫出該詞的拼寫形式,并能夠準確讀出單詞。教學(xué)中,教師在引導(dǎo)學(xué)生自己找規(guī)律識讀、識記單詞后,學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語的自主精神得到了培養(yǎng),為他們主動積極地投入到英語學(xué)習(xí)中奠定了堅定的基礎(chǔ),更好地維持了他們學(xué)習(xí)英語的興趣,調(diào)動了他們學(xué)習(xí)英語的積極性。

      如果不教音標,不教給學(xué)生正確記憶單詞的方法,只讓學(xué)生跟著老師反復(fù)讀記,那么學(xué)生記單詞的效率會比較低下,而且會很容易遺忘。但是,如果學(xué)生正確掌握了音標,掌握了發(fā)音規(guī)則,就可以自己學(xué)會拼讀生詞,也可以根據(jù)讀音規(guī)則拼寫出新的單詞。這對學(xué)生記憶單詞有著重要的作用,能掃除了學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語的巨大障礙,能激發(fā)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語的興趣,能提高學(xué)生學(xué)英語的效率。
