學(xué)士學(xué)位英語(yǔ)又稱成人英語(yǔ)三級(jí)，這項(xiàng)考試的目的是為了檢測(cè)本地區(qū)成人教育系列中，非外語(yǔ)專業(yè)的英語(yǔ)教學(xué)水平，保證成人本科畢業(yè)生學(xué)士學(xué)位的授予質(zhì)量。參加高等教育自學(xué)考試(本科)的學(xué)生，申請(qǐng)學(xué)士學(xué)位需通過學(xué)位英語(yǔ)考試。

成人學(xué)士學(xué)位英語(yǔ)考試不是全國(guó)性考試，一般是由各個(gè)省市自治區(qū)自己命題考試，試卷滿分大多數(shù)在100分，也有個(gè)別省份制定的試題滿分達(dá)到100分以上，但通常都是以滿分成績(jī)的60%為及格線。也有個(gè)別省份要求客觀題和作文分別達(dá)標(biāo)才可以。2.四六級(jí)

英語(yǔ)四六級(jí)考試是教育部主管的一項(xiàng)全國(guó)性的英語(yǔ)考試，其目的是對(duì)大學(xué)生的實(shí)際英語(yǔ)能力進(jìn)行客觀、準(zhǔn)確的測(cè)量，為大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)提供測(cè)評(píng)服務(wù)。大學(xué)英語(yǔ)考試是一項(xiàng)大規(guī)模標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化考試，是一個(gè)“標(biāo)準(zhǔn)關(guān)聯(lián)的常模參照測(cè)驗(yàn)”。大學(xué)英語(yǔ)四、六級(jí)考試作為一項(xiàng)全國(guó)性的教學(xué)考試由“國(guó)家教育部高教司”主辦，分為四級(jí)考試(CET-4)和六級(jí)考試(CET-6)，每年各舉行兩次，分別在同一天的上午和下午進(jìn)行。

四六級(jí)考試自2005年6月考試起，四、六級(jí)考試成績(jī)將采用滿分為710分的計(jì)分體制，不設(shè)及格線，只發(fā)成績(jī)證明，不發(fā)四六級(jí)證書;成績(jī)報(bào)道方式由考試合格證書改為成績(jī)報(bào)告單，即考后向每位考生發(fā)放成績(jī)報(bào)告單，報(bào)道內(nèi)容包括：總分、單項(xiàng)分等。大學(xué)英語(yǔ)考試已經(jīng)得到社會(huì)的承認(rèn)，目前已經(jīng)成為各級(jí)人事部門錄用大學(xué)畢業(yè)生的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)之一，產(chǎn)生了一定的社會(huì)效益。3.專四專八

英語(yǔ)專業(yè)四級(jí)八級(jí)考試是由高等學(xué)校外語(yǔ)專業(yè)教學(xué)指導(dǎo)委員會(huì)主辦的(非教育部主辦)，對(duì)英語(yǔ)專業(yè)高年級(jí)學(xué)生英語(yǔ)水平進(jìn)行衡量的一種外語(yǔ)水平考試。是目前我國(guó)體現(xiàn)最高英語(yǔ)水平的湖北專升本網(wǎng)

等級(jí)考試。專四考試時(shí)間是每年4月份，專八考試時(shí)間是每年3月上旬，非英語(yǔ)及相關(guān)專業(yè)與非在校生無(wú)法參加考試。

外語(yǔ)類大學(xué)中(上外、北外、廣外、北二外、西外、天外、大外、川外等)，除了英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言專業(yè)外，其他相關(guān)專業(yè)可以報(bào)考(六級(jí)必須達(dá)到600分以上)，例如國(guó)際貿(mào)易、旅游管理等等;考試及格者由高等院校外語(yǔ)專業(yè)教學(xué)指導(dǎo)委員會(huì)頒發(fā)成績(jī)單。成績(jī)分三級(jí):60-69分是合格;70-79分是良好;80分及以上是優(yōu)秀。考試合格后頒發(fā)的證書終身有效。從2003年起，考試不合格能夠補(bǔ)考一次。補(bǔ)考合格后只頒發(fā)合格證書。

籠子里的老虎總是羨慕外面老虎的自由，外面的老虎卻羨慕籠子里的老虎安逸。一日，一只老虎對(duì)另一只老虎說(shuō)：“咱們換一換。”另一只老虎同意了。

于是籠子里的老虎走進(jìn)了大自然，野地里的老虎走進(jìn)了籠子。但不久，兩只老虎都死了。一只是饑餓而死，一只是憂郁而死。

Once upon a time there lived in a country a do-gooder.The king was very appreciative of his deeds and decided to honour him as a saint by a decree.On the saint's eightieth birthday, the king was invited to his birthday celerbration.He brought with him a painter so as to do a picture of the kindly saint as a paragon for his countrymen.When the feast is over all the guests were asked to have a look at the picture.To their great surprise, when the picture was shown, what they saw was not a kind but a ruthless and cruel look.The king was very angry at seeing this and ordered his men to beat the painter.Upon hearing the noise, the saint rushed to the scene to have a look at the picture.After viewing it, the saint knelt down and said, “your majesty, the person in the picture is none other than me.” Why?“ said the king, dumbfounded.”This has been the very person whom I have never wanted to be."
