Notes on the text 課文注釋go to the theatre，去看戲。got angry，生氣。turn round，轉(zhuǎn)身，也可用turn around。pay attention，注意。I could not bear it．我無法忍受。其中的it是指上文中的那對男女大聲說話又不理會作者的憤怒目光。none of your business，不關(guān)你的事。

Notes on the text 課文注釋 on Sundays，指每個星期日。星期幾的前面用介詞on。What a day！多么糟糕的天氣！這是一個省略的感嘆句。完整的句子應(yīng)該是What a day it is！英語中的感嘆句常用what開頭，后面緊跟一個名詞或名詞性短語(包括連系動詞)，然后是主語和謂語，句尾用感嘆號。I'm coming to see you．在這句話中現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時用來表示近期按計劃或安排要進(jìn)行的動作。Dear me！天哪！這也是一個感嘆句。

第四篇：淺談新概念英語

看到論壇中的網(wǎng)友都在找新概念美語版的錄音，可能與現(xiàn)在的大部分聽力材料都是美語有關(guān)(如voa toefl)。不過我推薦大家使用由英國longman公司錄制的新概念，原因很簡單，這套錄音根據(jù)不同的英語水平設(shè)計了不同的時速，從第一冊的每分鐘約100歌單詞到第二冊的每分鐘120-140個單詞，再到第三四冊的每分鐘150-160個單詞，使學(xué)習(xí)者逐漸熟悉適應(yīng)正常的說話速度，設(shè)計較為合理，而不象一般的錄音都是一個速度。同時該錄音采用的是Received Pronunciation。即BBC所使用的standerd English，有利于大家以后適應(yīng)收聽BBC。

另外一個大家比較關(guān)心的問題是對聽?wèi)T了英國英語后會否聽不懂美語，實際這種擔(dān)心是不必要的，我還沒聽說哪個英國人聽不懂美國話，從我的實踐來看也不存在這種問題，二者雖有差異，但并非很大。同時許多網(wǎng)友聽VOA沒有問題了，再聽BBC也不存在聽不懂的問題。

第二個大家比較關(guān)心的是發(fā)音問題。實話實說，不論你學(xué)的是美語還是英語，對于大部分不是從幼兒時期就說英語的人，你所發(fā)出的永遠(yuǎn)是中國腔的英語，只不過是程度上的差異而已。同時許多專家也提倡在學(xué)英語的初期學(xué)習(xí)英國英語，因為英國英語的發(fā)音比較規(guī)范，容易養(yǎng)成良好正確的發(fā)音習(xí)慣。而且從英語改說美語也并不難，找?guī)撞棵绹娪?，跟著里邊的臺詞說幾遍，你的發(fā)音就會大大的得以改變。

第三點我想強(qiáng)調(diào)的是大家在學(xué)新概念時所忽視的一點，就是新概念同時也是訓(xùn)練大家提高寫作水平的一本好教程，大家仔細(xì)看一看每課后的寫作練習(xí)，從最簡單的簡單句寫起，一步一步引導(dǎo)你寫出較復(fù)雜的句子，再到不提供提示，獨立寫出句子和段落，循序漸進(jìn)，為大家的英語寫作打下堅實的基礎(chǔ)。
