二、背誦的好處
1、背誦有利于詞匯的情景記憶和理解。英語中有許多詞匯,用 法多變,詞義繁多,所以記憶詞匯尤其是單詞是令許多中學(xué)生感到頭疼的事情。單 純的硬記很難徹底掌握其用法,這時通過調(diào)動以往的背誦把單詞放在具體的語言環(huán) 境中去記憶,把原本枯燥的單詞或詞組通過上下文的銜接變的有趣起來,如此一來 單詞不僅容易記,而且記得牢,對詞匯量的擴(kuò)大大有裨益。例如: doctor examined The him carefully and found he had got a cancer.通過醫(yī)生看病這一語境,學(xué)生就很容易地 記住了“examine”(檢查,診察)這個單詞。

三、背誦的形式
1、個人獨立背誦:是課下背誦的主要方式,適合背誦各種形式的 英語內(nèi)容。
2、小組合作背誦:是課堂上在老師指導(dǎo)下進(jìn)行背誦的一種重要方式。學(xué)習(xí)中除單個的句子外,其它的材料均可以采取小組合作背誦的方式,因為這種 方式可以使學(xué)生處于興奮愉悅的狀態(tài),從而避免枯燥乏味,讓學(xué)生表演對話就是一 種常見的合作背誦方式。不屬于對話類型的材料也可以采取合作背誦方式,如:兩 個人進(jìn)行英漢口頭互譯,即一個學(xué)生將一句漢語,另一個學(xué)生接著把它翻譯成英語,或者一個學(xué)生將一句英語,另一個學(xué)生馬上把它翻譯成漢語。這種方式對于培養(yǎng)學(xué) 生臨場口譯能力很有益處的。
四、背誦的方法及策略 背誦和學(xué)習(xí)過程中的其它活動一樣,也需要講究方法和策略。如果對背誦活動缺 乏深入的思考和準(zhǔn)備,簡單、機(jī)械地朗讀、背誦,不但不能發(fā)揮背誦應(yīng)有的作用,而且浪費時間,打擊學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的積極性和信心。因此,英語學(xué)習(xí)者應(yīng)掌握以下背誦 方法和策略:
1、根據(jù)音標(biāo)及常見的讀音規(guī)則來背誦單詞。首先,可用音節(jié)來記憶單詞。讀單 詞的時候,不妨一個音節(jié)一個音節(jié)地念清楚,然后按音節(jié)順序拼出單詞,這樣,即 7
使一些乍看令人生畏的長單詞也能很自然地拼寫出來。其次,可根據(jù)字母組合的基 本讀音規(guī)則來記憶單詞。在學(xué)習(xí)過程中,我們要留心觀察,善于總結(jié)發(fā)音規(guī)律。

3、根據(jù)句子主干背誦長句。對于較長的句子,可以提取主干,然后補(bǔ)充細(xì)節(jié)。如: It soon become clear that the straight part of the chance chang when the sun?s position chang.句子的主干為:It become clear that…,在 that 引導(dǎo)的主句從句中,又有一個 when 引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句,清理句子結(jié)構(gòu),你就會記住什么時間、什么地點、什么事情。
4、根據(jù)大意要點背誦篇章結(jié)構(gòu)。對于段落或篇章,先要摘清文中講了哪些方面的內(nèi)容,把握句子之間的聯(lián)系,然后抓 住要點并擴(kuò)展開去,聯(lián)想細(xì)節(jié),補(bǔ)充內(nèi)容,背誦便可以順利完成。猶如作畫,先構(gòu)思好整 幅畫,然后用墨,一揮而就。例如,議論文常常按照論點—論據(jù)—總結(jié)或者論據(jù)—論 點---總結(jié)的順序來寫,學(xué)生在背誦時可想一想:作者的論點是什么?是如何論證 的?有哪些論據(jù)?這些論據(jù)是如何排列的?把握句子之間的聯(lián)系,不僅能夠幫助學(xué) 生快速記憶文章,而且有利于培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的邏輯思維能力。另外,在背誦時還應(yīng)注意要實行過度復(fù)習(xí)。學(xué)生經(jīng)過努力,能夠背誦精選的材料,表明暫時完成了背誦任務(wù),但極易遺忘。所以背誦之后,切不可終止讀記、背誦活 動,還必須再進(jìn)行幾次讀記背誦練習(xí),這些練習(xí)就叫過度復(fù)習(xí)。8
