      第一,選擇1盤(再次強(qiáng)調(diào)是1盤而非1套)適合自身英語(yǔ)水平的磁帶。第二,每天集中精力把A面和B面連續(xù)聽(tīng)兩遍。

      第三,要堅(jiān)持天天聽(tīng),但每隔6天要休息1天。

      第四,直到聽(tīng)清磁帶中的所有內(nèi)容。

      第二階段的七個(gè)要領(lǐng)

      第一,把已經(jīng)能完全聽(tīng)清的磁帶中的第1盤磁帶再找出來(lái)。

      第二,聽(tīng)寫這盤磁帶的內(nèi)容。

      第三,做聽(tīng)寫練習(xí)時(shí),一句一句地聽(tīng)。即:聽(tīng)完一句后,先按暫停,把剛才聽(tīng)到的寫下來(lái),反復(fù)聽(tīng),直到完全聽(tīng)清這句為止。不會(huì)的單詞根據(jù)發(fā)音大致拼寫出來(lái)即可。

      新教材詞匯數(shù)量之多,難度之大是老師和同學(xué)們十分頭痛的事。新課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)分級(jí)目標(biāo)五級(jí)要求學(xué)生只須掌握1500—1600個(gè)單詞,200—300個(gè)詞組。教材中的單詞不用遇詞必背,只要是話題詞匯同時(shí)也是目標(biāo)詞匯才下功夫掌握。

      二、詞匯呈現(xiàn)策略

      教材編寫的意圖非常明確。詞匯都是在單元教學(xué)開(kāi)始部分以不同的方式呈現(xiàn)。沒(méi)有必要用獨(dú)立課時(shí)集中學(xué)習(xí)詞匯。等學(xué)生把單詞背會(huì)再進(jìn)行單元教學(xué)。詞匯呈現(xiàn)策略大體包括以下幾個(gè)方面:

      現(xiàn)在學(xué)英語(yǔ)的圖書(shū)鋪天蓋地,出版者、作者、讀者無(wú)不在浩如煙海的圖書(shū)市場(chǎng)中見(jiàn)縫插針地捕捉新的熱點(diǎn)。在所有的圖書(shū)都在教人“如何學(xué)好英語(yǔ)”的時(shí)候,韓國(guó)版的《千萬(wàn)別學(xué)英語(yǔ)》無(wú)疑使人耳目一新。

      作者鄭贊容早年在德國(guó)獲得空間計(jì)劃學(xué)碩士、環(huán)境改造與開(kāi)發(fā)學(xué)博士學(xué)位,現(xiàn)為著名的韓國(guó)漢陽(yáng)大學(xué)環(huán)境信息造景系教授。他說(shuō),原以為自己的書(shū)肯定不好賣,沒(méi)想到出版后成了開(kāi)創(chuàng)韓國(guó)銷量新記錄的暢銷書(shū),自1999年7月出版后,不到一個(gè)星期全部售完,銷量已超過(guò)140萬(wàn)本,至今已是第30次印刷。

      在只有4000萬(wàn)人口的韓國(guó),一本普通的英語(yǔ)書(shū)銷量居然如此可觀,自然引起各界的關(guān)注。鄭贊容解釋,這本書(shū)要強(qiáng)調(diào)的是正確的學(xué)習(xí)方法,不需要背單詞、學(xué)語(yǔ)法,只是培養(yǎng)一種習(xí)慣,習(xí)慣很重要。語(yǔ)言是通過(guò)模仿逐漸習(xí)慣化的過(guò)程,并不應(yīng)該是我們的學(xué)習(xí)對(duì)象,而是通過(guò)摹仿,逐漸潛移默化形成的習(xí)慣。就像母語(yǔ),根本不需要學(xué)習(xí)就會(huì)了。如果把嬰兒出世以后通過(guò)模仿、慢慢會(huì)聽(tīng)、會(huì)說(shuō)母語(yǔ)的過(guò)程應(yīng)用在外語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)上,那么這門外語(yǔ)不用攻讀也可以達(dá)到相當(dāng)于母語(yǔ)的水平。

      《千萬(wàn)別學(xué)英語(yǔ)》的內(nèi)容像小說(shuō),富有生動(dòng)有趣的情節(jié)。其中有兩位主人公,一男一女,男的是上司(即作者),精通英文。女主人公是一位普通職員,正為英文不好而苦惱,因此跑去找鄭先生問(wèn):“怎么才能學(xué)好英語(yǔ)?”鄭先生就把他所提倡的學(xué)習(xí)方法一個(gè)個(gè)地教給她。書(shū)的內(nèi)容包括5個(gè)訣竅,簡(jiǎn)單易懂,還有一些關(guān)于東西方文化的對(duì)比和批評(píng),老少皆宜。

      該書(shū)的譯者是北京大學(xué)的韓國(guó)教授李貞嬌。她在韓國(guó)從事英語(yǔ)教學(xué)達(dá)10年之久,對(duì)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)傾注了很大的心血。她說(shuō),在北大圖書(shū)館,她發(fā)現(xiàn)也有很多學(xué)生為了學(xué)英語(yǔ),花費(fèi)很多的時(shí)間和精力去背單詞、學(xué)語(yǔ)法。她試著向周圍的一些學(xué)生介紹了《千萬(wàn)別學(xué)英語(yǔ)》中講述的學(xué)習(xí)方法,反應(yīng)非常好。于是,她著手將此書(shū)翻譯成中文,希望通過(guò)《千萬(wàn)別學(xué)英語(yǔ)》的方法而產(chǎn)生的奇跡也在中國(guó)發(fā)生。

      有生以來(lái)看過(guò)的書(shū),不計(jì)其數(shù),那些書(shū)的名字和內(nèi)容,大多隨著時(shí)間的流逝,漸漸地淡忘了。不過(guò)也有一些印象深一點(diǎn)的,最難忘的還是一個(gè)叫鄭贊容的韓國(guó)人寫的'一本書(shū)——《千萬(wàn)別學(xué)英語(yǔ)》,它在我的腦海里留下了深深的印跡。

      首先是書(shū)的名字很特別,乍一看,以為是勸人不要學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的,我不明白,因?yàn)橛⒄Z(yǔ)的重要性正如本書(shū)中所言:“即使冠以‘世界通用語(yǔ)言’的稱號(hào)似乎也難以表述英語(yǔ)在現(xiàn)代生活中的重要性”。你怎么可以讓別人千萬(wàn)不要學(xué)習(xí)呢?我有些困惑了,如今,什么樣的書(shū)也都可以拿來(lái)出版嗎?趕還可以,真正拿來(lái)應(yīng)用就不行了。原來(lái)是誤會(huì),為了安慰一下作者那就買一本吧。

      其次是內(nèi)容新穎別致。書(shū)中明確提出來(lái)的口號(hào)就是:“跟所有傳統(tǒng)的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)方法說(shuō)再見(jiàn)”,完全摒棄錯(cuò)誤的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)方式,樹(shù)立起新的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣。包括英語(yǔ)在內(nèi)的所有語(yǔ)言都并非是學(xué)習(xí)的對(duì)象,而是熟習(xí)的對(duì)象,當(dāng)一切都習(xí)慣成自然時(shí),我們就可以完全從迄今為止仍然愈學(xué)愈難的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)中解放出來(lái)了。就像人們用母語(yǔ)說(shuō)話時(shí),熟悉的內(nèi)容自動(dòng)浮現(xiàn)于腦海中,卻并不深究語(yǔ)法一樣,英語(yǔ)以及其他外語(yǔ)也可以如此。

      書(shū)中那幽默有趣、表情夸張的插圖,既有助于我們理解書(shū)中的內(nèi)容,也給我留下了深刻的印象。它既有操作方法,也有道理講解,使我們既知道怎樣做,又懂得為什么這樣做。

      它分為五個(gè)階段:選一盤適合自身英語(yǔ)水平的磁帶,第一階段先認(rèn)真聽(tīng),“打通”耳朵,完全聽(tīng)清;第二階段認(rèn)真寫,聽(tīng)讀并舉,掌握語(yǔ)法;第三階段認(rèn)真查,躍躍欲說(shuō),出口成章;第四階段再聽(tīng)、寫、查,自我領(lǐng)悟,無(wú)典自通;第五階段認(rèn)真看、讀,文化融通,漸入佳境。簡(jiǎn)簡(jiǎn)單單的學(xué)習(xí)方法,只要你認(rèn)真做,就可以大大提高英語(yǔ)成績(jī)。

      再次是效果顯著。作者寫這本書(shū)的目的是教我們?cè)鯓佑糜趾糜止?jié)省時(shí)間又能提高成績(jī)的方法學(xué)英語(yǔ)。我按照上面所說(shuō)的去做,才做到第二階段,成績(jī)就提高了。雖然不是很多,但是我心里還是樂(lè)滋滋的。

      我想,這本講如何學(xué)英語(yǔ)的書(shū),也可以用于其它學(xué)科。比如說(shuō),我們?cè)趯W(xué)語(yǔ)文時(shí),可以像上面一樣,多聽(tīng)多朗讀,通過(guò)耳濡目染很自然地提高我們的語(yǔ)感。這樣學(xué)到的知識(shí)才是真實(shí)有用的,才能在用到它時(shí)得心應(yīng)手,運(yùn)用自如。
