隨著全球經(jīng)濟(jì)一體化的進(jìn)程，教育觀念全球化的趨勢也日益凸顯，西方的文化教育正在尋找著新的切合點(diǎn)。英語早已經(jīng)成為億萬人民最向往掌握的語言工具，每一位家長都希望自己的孩子從呀呀學(xué)語時(shí)就能開始學(xué)習(xí)英語，在中國擁有近數(shù)以億計(jì)的英語學(xué)習(xí)者，人們學(xué)習(xí)英語的年齡已經(jīng)從七十年代的高中生發(fā)展到了四五歲，幼兒園就上起培訓(xùn)學(xué)校。在業(yè)內(nèi)，機(jī)構(gòu)風(fēng)生水起，英語培訓(xùn)逐漸呈現(xiàn)出多元化和細(xì)致化。

1.商業(yè)運(yùn)作能力不強(qiáng)：市場手段還是主要針對(duì)大學(xué)生的海報(bào)、傳單、講座、?？?、免費(fèi)試聽等方式。針對(duì)中學(xué)生、少兒、白領(lǐng)、企業(yè)等對(duì)象市場宣傳手段不多。網(wǎng)絡(luò)營銷還很弱，雖然各學(xué)校也都建立了網(wǎng)站、BBS，可是網(wǎng)站過分推薦培
訓(xùn)班級(jí)，可讀性差;而BBS由于教師的參與積極性弱，而大大降低了學(xué)員的參與熱情。

1.英語培訓(xùn)需求旺盛：市場容量大，英語培訓(xùn)需求量還是很大。SAT考試大陸考生已從2003年的50人增加到2008年的14000多人。上海英語口譯考試開考10年來，考生數(shù)已從1995年的700多名增加到2008年的近7萬名，激增近百倍。2009年全國碩士研究生入學(xué)考試，在去年的基礎(chǔ)增加了4.6萬，增幅為4%左右，據(jù)有關(guān)專家分析，2010考研人數(shù)將大幅增加，受金融危機(jī)影響和招生人數(shù)增加的影響，報(bào)名人數(shù)將可能達(dá)到180萬。

3.出國留學(xué)低齡化：出國留學(xué)低齡化的趨勢越來越明顯。國內(nèi)就業(yè)、高考等因素大批高中生紛紛選擇了出國留學(xué)。這種趨勢也開始向初中畢業(yè)生蔓延，很多小孩的家長在初中畢業(yè)后就把孩子送到國外去學(xué)習(xí)。
威脅：
1.競爭對(duì)手加大布點(diǎn)：龐大的語言培訓(xùn)市場以及教育行業(yè)的反經(jīng)濟(jì)周期特
性，即使在全球金融風(fēng)暴和經(jīng)濟(jì)下滑的局勢下，風(fēng)險(xiǎn)投資(VC)對(duì)于教育行業(yè)的投資，不僅熱度不減，反而實(shí)現(xiàn)了接近翻番的增長。
2.考試政策變化：考試政策的變化，對(duì)環(huán)球雅思來說是最大的挑戰(zhàn)。近幾年一些考試進(jìn)行了改革，如GRE、四六級(jí)、新托福。這些改革都對(duì)新東方形成了挑戰(zhàn)。2005年9月，托福進(jìn)行了有史以來最大的一次改革，從計(jì)分辦法到考試內(nèi)容和形式都發(fā)生了大的改變。

環(huán)球雅思在不同的細(xì)分領(lǐng)域都有很強(qiáng)的競爭對(duì)手。在出國留學(xué)類考試方面的主要競爭對(duì)手有新航道、朗閣等;在青少年考試方面新東方、英孚教育、昂立教育、巨人教育、學(xué)大、恩波、綠光等;在白領(lǐng)能力培訓(xùn)方面華爾街英語、英孚教育、韋博等。這些競爭對(duì)手在細(xì)分領(lǐng)域中都對(duì)環(huán)球雅思形成了強(qiáng)有力的沖擊。

過去，在教育行業(yè)的營銷中多數(shù)的企業(yè)都沒有將營銷傳播整合，而是進(jìn)行單一的營銷傳播活動(dòng)，而現(xiàn)在，很多教育培訓(xùn)行業(yè)的企業(yè)開始擁有眾多的渠道和獨(dú)特的營銷模式，渠道能不能得到有效的整合與品牌的長期發(fā)展有著巨大的影響，每一套營銷模式都有著獨(dú)特的優(yōu)勢，整合營銷傳播，積極開發(fā)網(wǎng)絡(luò)營銷，將是營銷發(fā)展的新趨勢，教育培訓(xùn)行業(yè)亦如此。
